Not sure if this has been mentioned but I'm very concerned about all the legendary items being account bound. I'm hoping this is due to Mystic alterations (which I'm fine with) or if this is their plan to control AH use.
Edit: Well it appears that the legendary flail the Crusader looted is not account bound. However it is level 31. So I would still like to see some clarification on this, I'm fairly confident that it's just due to the Mystic however I want to be 100%, so if anyone catches anything, which I'm sure will happen, be sure to update!
Let's hope so. Because that weapon damage is crazy, and if it exists as such, it must be BOA. If you can get this kind of stuff on the AH, oh boy... current gear will be useless. I think they should introduce better gear, but not introduce items that will render current gear absolutely obsolete, unless such gear is self found and BOA.
Current gear will be useless, period. There's no denying that. It's in the very nature of an expansion.

Clarification on why it's lvl 31 and not lvl 70? That's because the gameplay is shown in Normal, I think. The BoA is very very likely due to the Mystic being able to reroll affixes.
Otherwise you'd have another feature that instead of helping players find what they want and improve themselves would be used to "farm the AH", by buying potentially good items, putting gold into enchanting and reselling the item back.
Most of the existing (decently rolled and up) Legendary items will carry some weight into the xpac but once you hit 70 and the new gear starts to flow everything is going to get upgraded. I would even wager to say it's not worth stockpiling for your Crusader since Loot 2.0 may end up giving you a much smoother item experience on the way to 70. It is a bit of a departure from the previous Diablo games but do we really need to tread down that path again? We all know that current Blizz is not the Blizz of old. They are choosing to look at things from the "WoW model". Which I hate using that expression but is what it is.
Edit: All of that being said it will be interesting to see what the difficulty curve is like heading into Act V. I am going to make up some numbers here without anything more than anecdotal evidence but 150k DPS is the median now and I will be curious to see how well that does in Act V Inferno. If you can farm mid level MP through most of Act V with existing gear then obviously the life of said gear will greatly increase. That remains to be seen as well.
At about 5:10 does the Crusader say "not enough wrath"?
Also better pic of the God Butcher then the one shown earlier:
That is, in fact, his resource. As is stated on our main page and the first post in this topic.
Also, looking at it closer you can see that it flows differently than Spirit (which I thought it was early on). It seems to be a lot more hectic, bustling - moving upwards. It needs some lightning effects too to look even better.
Lemme get this straight....loot 2.0 won't be playable without the xpac? Will there be a 1.09 itemization patch before xpac or not?
If this is true........it means no item upgrade until whenever RoS is released, which could be many many months.
Well yeah, they said they weren't releasing anymore patch updates that the next one would be the expansion. So yeah we won't see loot 2.0 until the expansion hits.
When did they say that?
Has there been some confirmation that there will be no 1.09 itemization patch?
Can't recall if it was a tweet from Josh or the blog post he made. But everyone knows this O.o Plus like every time on the official forums is asked what patch 1.09 will have or what will it contain they always start their comment with something like: "We do not yet have any information that we can share about future patches after patch 1.0.8"
Don't make silly claims that you can't back up with some sort of source.. And it doesn't really help your case that you say "everyone knows that".
Funny that you say to not make "silly claims" when it is clear everything is heading that direction. And sorry about using "everyone knows that", sorry if you guys felt offended, I just thought you folks kept up with updates etc.
Lol I don't think they will wait four years again. I think they want to push this stuff out as soon as possible to get past these tough times. I'm expecting May/June release with beta beginning after Blizzcon presentation. Which will probably include the final loot 2.0 preview among everything else.
Didn't see this on front page or in comments, but I noticed Nephalem Valor isn't restricted to max level. In the 10 minute Crusader video, he kills a champion pack, gaining 1 stack of NV in normal at level 31. SO HAPPY FOR THIS. Will make leveling new characters feel much more rewarding, as well as the legendary drops scaling with you as you level.
Overall, Im pleased with the news. More to come soon, I imagine. #stoked

Exactly. They're adding one act and one class, and they've been working on this for quite some time now. I would be shocked if we waited longer than May for the release.
