Now i wonder will legendary items who have IAS as a static mod will chance? My guess is no because it's not random affix.
It may not be a random affix but the value is random, so yes they will be reduced as well, maybe not as much though. If they didn't they would be way too relatively powerful.
I should probably find a tool to compare gear so that I can see how big of a hit I will be taking. Thanks for the replies.
Well you can tell what your APS will be post nerf by looking at the dataminded values on d3db.com (for the most part, it's a ~60% reduction in value for each IAS affix).

Sure, but I want to see how it would affect my damage value on the character screen taking all of my other stats into consideration.

That is just disgusting. We are gonna be attacking like 1.5x a second now. Gonna be so much slower haha. Ugh as if this game needed anything else against it.
Lol, I like the guy crying about the game having "anything else against it". Outside of the issues intrinsic to Inferno, this game is fantastic.
As far as the IAS nerf - I wouldn't worry about it too much until the patch hits and you see how it plays out. If your item has max IAS currently, it will still be max after. For the most part, IAS will just be valued differently depending on skills/playstyle, instead of as best value regardless of class/skills/playstyle.
I sold my Xbow and gloves bc of this, my bow netted 20 mil which once the change happens it wont be close to that and my glove about the same
I could be wrong, but hasn't blizzard said they won't go back and change items already dropped? What this says to me is the gear with high ias right now will be very rare after the patch... Thus much more valuable. For those who dumped their ias items in haste, if my thought holds true... That sucks. I hope I am wrong.

They said that about the legendaries. The IAS items will be retroactively modified because 1) it's easier to do than retroactively buffing the legendaries and 2) if they didn't it would create a set of super valuable and OP pre-nerf IAS items.

I'm not sure why you guys think IAS will stay the same price...
These numbers are completely made up but consider these magic rings:
Before patch: ring with 71 int 15% IAS might give me 6000 damage
After patch: The same ring with 71 int 7% IAS might give me 2500 damage
Compared to a ring with 71 int 33% crit damage which might give me 3800 damage
IAS dramatically drops in value. Considering my main source of damage is hydra, I think I would rather get rid of my ring while it still sells...

Raw damage isnt the only benefit of IAS. Monks need it for faster hits to get more life per hit as well as more spirit regen (which is based on the number of attacks you dish out). Its way more useful for survivability.
If anything I feel like it's gone from "oh i didnt get IAS on one or two slots, no biggie" to, "i need IAS on every slot!"

Should I be trying to sell these before the nerf and rebuy something for cheap afterward or will these still be pretty good after the nerf?

How will it not affect items?
According to the datamined info http://d3db.com/news/id/268-datamined-10310057-patch-notes-unofficial/
wont these items be changed to 6% or 7%?
Not sure what you're getting at here. You're saying tha tIAS gear will still be expensive compared to non-IAS gear? I agree with that still if so.

I need stuff i can sell at $250, kthx.
I think at least for demon hunters we'll see a lot more interest in dex, crit, and crit hit dmg, over atkspd after the patch.
reason ive not bought into the, stack ias guys for pew pew
