Thanks for the reply! I'll switch it up to a bear build once I'm ready to up the MP, but with my limited play time it might be awhile out yet.

Any advice on what piece to upgrade next?

First off, I love the WD forum over the Barb and Wiz forums. The feedback seems to be more complete, and less hostile than the other forums. :) No offense to the other forums, but just what I've noticed.

I'm a very fresh 60 WD, not even through Inferno yet. This is due to time, not difficulty. My gear is not too bad, but I know I can make it better with a few replacements.

My goal is to run the Acid Rain build to Paragon level in MP1, and then slowly switch up the MP higher and higher as my gear and Paragon levels go up. I like the WD over the Wiz because I've died like 2 times in Inferno compared to 100s on my Wiz... so much easier to maintain a constant flow.

What can I do to improve my Acid Rain build, gear wise? (and build wise too) Any advice would be much appreciated. My budget right now is 7 million, so pretty weak. Thanks for reading this far!!

    Thanks!

I've read all the guides etc and they're all very good... just looking for an opinion on what someone else would do, because with all the good information out there, it's still hard to decide where to spend the money.

I'm not sure about it but i feel like being mean so ...

If you had indeed read all the guides you would know about the crime you commited when you combined that main hand with that triumvirate :P Or even know what piece to upgrade before anything else.

I myself haven't read guides so i'm not sure it's mentioned there but i'm almost certain it is .Excuse me if i'm wrong though...

lol! I had that mainhand before I got the Tri. I've replaced it now, but the Armory isn't updated. I had been switching the two around to see how much of a difference it really makes and it doesn't seem like a lot. Maybe because I've been melting everything with Archon runs anyway (MP1). . but Thanks for the tips everyone!

Thanks for the replies! I think I was a little long winded and lost sight of what I was trying to ask, though.

If you were me, what piece would you upgrade next? I'm thinking about saving for a good Witching Hour, but I'm not sure.

I've read all the guides etc and they're all very good... just looking for an opinion on what someone else would do, because with all the good information out there, it's still hard to decide where to spend the money. Especially when I only play a few hours a week, so it takes awhile to build up that kind of dough.

    Thanks again guys!

First, extra points for those that can reference the TV show in the title.... ..

Second, I'm sorry for being like everybody else. I need advice. I want to know what you would do.

I'm a new WIzard. My second toon, first being a Barb. I like the ranged, and I like the Wiz. But I refuse to do a CM/Melee Wizard as I moved from the barb to get away from melee-type play. I'm a fresh 60 pretty much, and I've come to really like my current spec for moving through the Inferno quests before farming.

I might be jumping the gun here, but what would you do if you were in my shoes? I have about 10 million to spend, and I'm just at a loss. I've read every post on these forums in the last few weeks, but I just can't keep the info straight. There's a lot of set pieces and legends available that I see people wearing, and with my limited play-schedule I'm finding it overwhelming.

I'd like to be able to switch between an Archon build and a custom-blizzard-or-meteor-or-disintegrate-build with one set of gear (of course willing to switch out a few pieces here and there). I'm not totally ruling out the CM/WW build(s) but I've never been one for cookie-cutter specs.

Any advice from the few pro-type WIz' on the forum? Anything is appreciated greatly!

    Thanks in advance!
    Phreek

PS -- I can't quite post URLs yet, but I'm Phreek#1215 on the US servers.

I am in the same position, about to hit Act 3. My biggest problem is I have 5 hours a week to play currently (4 week old kid).

    http://us.battle.net...1/hero/12490732

I know I need more STR and Vit but having a hard time finding gear that is in my price range. Currently only have around 200k.

Nice! Thanks again for all the replies so far. I've made a couple changes to my with stuff I had laying around. It's tough, cuz I'll switch my belt, lose 4k health, then look other places to get more health, usually losing strength. Tricky stuff. :) I'm pretty sure I can tank through the game now, feeling pretty beast mode.

I also play a non WW Barb. Sword and board all the way for me.

    http://eu.battle.net...134/hero/900289

I can faceroll act3 with pretty much no issues and I don't have the best gear by the long way. Still need better Gloves, Pants, Chest and Belt.

I'd drop that amulet and get something else, mine only cost me 2m and at the time I got it, it gave me a massive 7k DPS boost.

Also if playing solo get some cheap geat for the enchantress, she can actually help out a fair bit with DOT spell and some packs.

Thanks for the replies so far! I agree that a weapon with LOH would be choice, but they're SO expensive! I went with that amulet to make up for no LOH on my weapon. I can do act 2 no problem, and I'm almost all the way through act 3.

I do have some side-grades that I can use that goes with what you guys have said so far - I switch a few pieces of gear around a lot and struggle to find an optimum setup. I have a belt with 250 str but little vit, and resistances are lower too. I have shoulders with the same str but no vit, and 75 resist all - can't decide what I like the best.

I appreciate the feed back so far. Keep it coming!

PS I'm kind of a pack-rat with amulets/belts/and rings, I can't seem to get rid of any as I switch a few in and out depending on new pieces, etc.

I use sprint/WW in act 1 with an entire different MF set. I've been progressing with sword/board, different variations of what I'm using now. I only have about a million gold, but will farm some more. What do you think I should upgrade next? I realize my crit is very very low, but I just can't seem to find a reasonable upgrade for a reasonable amount of money. What do you guys think? I've seen a lot of good advice coming from these forums.

I also roll with a monk and/or a demon hunter, if that makes a difference.

    Thanks!

I sold my Xbow and gloves bc of this, my bow netted 20 mil which once the change happens it wont be close to that and my glove about the same
I could be wrong, but hasn't blizzard said they won't go back and change items already dropped? What this says to me is the gear with high ias right now will be very rare after the patch... Thus much more valuable. For those who dumped their ias items in haste, if my thought holds true... That sucks. I hope I am wrong.

posted a message on Patch 13 : Overall feeling of polish? bugs?
    Quote from efesus

I like the changes. The only thing I don't like about the patch is new skill UI. It just don't seem "as polished" as rest of the game. But I'm pretty sure it will be great before game launches. From what I saw from beta streams, there are not many bugs, but I've seen a few mobs that do no damage even tho they hit you. Nothing that can't be fixed easily...

I don't know if this will make you feel better, but 7 years after the launch of WoW I still find monsters that do this. And I mean this as "you can't determine how close the game will be because of that".

posted a message on Barbarian For fyrst choice
I'm a huge Barbarian fan! I love the sheer brute-force aspect and have always loved the in-your-face playstyle.

I was the original 'throw' barbarian, at least on US servers that I know of... I love finding a way to play a character spec that was previously considered un-viable. Of course, I had to portal-shop for days upon days to find my 'cruel' throwing javelins before I could even consider making the build... okay sorry, got a little nostalgic there for a second.

I also love the Barbarian community. On diabloii.net way back in the day, we had the best by far (in my opinion) forum community - respectful, creative, and active. Man... the memories. Anyone around from there? Anyone remember me?

Phreek-OG.. I think my orginal throw barb's name was Chuck-OG. Seems so long ago...
