Man you are so right. While we are at it we should bash and belittle all of the people who cried over hostility too, since they seem to whine A LOT.Quote from Zic

Hope that cow level is a troll attempt because those models look like complete dog shit. Also it is a pretty big slap to the face and a disgrace to Diablo series to have ponies and pink bears in the secret level.
Keep in mind that this is a preview from an early beta of a model viewer, models will look much better in game and aren't even designed to be displayed in full screen outside of the game in the first place.
It is what it is, can't be worse then the chicken level in Dungeon Siege. I just wanted a more traditional Cow level, yea it was goofy but it wasn't a slap to the face of some of the community. Just because we wanted a darker looking Diablo doesn't mean we should get poked at and make a joke of by the developer with retarded shirts or this garbage invading the game. It just reminds me of the kids who say "YOU MAD?". Yes Blizzard, I am mad.
Good, it's meant to poke fun at people who whine about the game being too light. Get over it. The cow level in D2 had cows, upright, saying moo monotonously. It was silly shit.

I did not. But I only put perhaps 50 hours into the game during our internal testing. I'm looking forward to having a bit better luck, and playing many, many, many more hours after May 15th." -

The inferno numbers sure are daunting, but I am not easily swayed. Ill reserve judgment till I get there, it does make me almost double think my 2 week deal though, but well see.Posted in: News

I didn't read the whole thing but what I am guessing is that he meant Diablo 3 is more meant for co-op. Diablo 1 was definitly not designed as a co-op game at heart. It had it yes, but it wasn't their main trait of the game. Diablo 2 now, again even according to Blizzard there are many many people who didn't play on Bnet and only played single player. So I would even categorize D2 as a solo game with again tacked on multiplayer. D3 is more co-op and multiplayer based then the others and has been designed that way from day 1.Quote from UberN00b
And wait a minute, Jay just said in the video that Diablo was always meant to be co-op.
Didn't someone from Blizzard say somewhere else that Diablo has been focused on single-player but that multi-player was an afterthought basically?
So confused...

I believe so, if it had to do with Warcraft I wasn't interested and I didn't pay enough attention back in D1 days to know of any betas. Hell it was coincidence that I even got D2 on launch with some great luck ha. -

Well first off, it isn't the players responsibility to play the game as "intended". If the developer can't create a game that is fun and insightful to play it as "intended" then that is on them.Quote from Benegesserit

Nah, he should of said farmable in his first response. Beating the game once is NP. Farming it convincingly is something else, what I and many others said was that we can beat it within 2 weeks, not farm it and yet we were all called retarded and ignorant ha.
Depends on your definition of "NP". Cheating? Or not riding on the coattails of broken code. If people can beat it w/o Blizzard saying anything was used that they have to patch to fix because it was broken within a few weeks, then yes, Bashiok and Blizzard failed at their claim, otherwise, no. I won't give credit to cheaters.
The interesting thing is that I hear people say "play the game it was intended" vs mod threads but will also say that it's not the player's responsibility to play the game as intended when it comes to issues like this. Naturally it's the same hypocrites who would resort to cheating to make the game easier.
Also I won't need any glitches or hacks or exploits to win. It is very simple, 3 barbarians and a monk should and will be able to steam roll all of the content. I have no doubt in my mind of that. -

Obvious statement about Inferno is obvious. World firsts of pretty much any kind ALWAYS involve some sort of unintended exploit or "clever use of game mechanics". This is why I don't play competitive games online (at least not taken seriously). The real game is always who can break the code the most w/o getting in trouble (a lot easier when you're an anonymous presence on the internet). First to level cap, first all achievements earned, first inferno diablo kill...all of it will involved some extremely broken ability, exploit, etc basically something Blizzard will end up patching quickly. This ALWAYS happens. Any scrupulous player never has a chance at these sort of things. It's disgusting and it's why I only may take competitive things seriously when I play with just friends.

Where are all of you people who called me and many others retarded for saying we could clear Inferno in 2 weeks? Even your famed Bashiok and Blizzard are trying to take their comments back.
To be fair I'm sure he wanted to clarify that point earlier, but beating Inferno the way the devs intended their skills and mechanics to work is still on the table for them thinking it will take a long time to clear. Naturally exploiters will change the rules of the game. Really all he needed to add in previous statements about the epic difficulty were words:
", excluding exploiters."

Adon posted a message on Diablo III Armor Set Previews, Buying Items and the RMAH, Monster Melee Range, Blue Posts, PremiumMmm I don't like that monster melee thing if it is what I think it is. If I can't manually dodge in and out of monsters attacks like D2 and they will hit me regardless of where I am before their attack actually hits then that is going to piss me off. I hate games that do that, like every MMO for instance where something dumb is smacking me 20 feet away over a hill and behind a rock. I liked the ability to manuver my character around attacks in D2 and hope you can do same in D3.Posted in: News

Also it is great to know that it took us MONTHS to beat the game, also good to know that HC will probably NEVER beat Inferno...oh wait.....

"We make that as a joke. We'll say, ‘You're a bad designer if you tell your customer that you're playing the game wrong.' It's actually the customer's game. We should do our best to enable that experience. If someone is playing the game and they're not having a good time and it's because they're not playing it right, that's our fault."

Diablo 2's skills did not get tweaked a ton. They got tweaked big in 2 patches only. Unbalanced skills? I can clear the game with any skill, normal - nm - hell NP. Vanilla D2, LoD doesn't matter. Should learn the game and get off scrub status before you try and call me out on D2 knowledge boy.
Well lets see, MF was better in D2, trading was better in D2, leveling didn't end in a day tops. Looks like it took a hell of a lot longer to hit "done" in D2, then it does in D3. Who cares about Inferno? Who honestly is still playing and going "Man I need to finish Inferno". People don't give a damn about Inferno, they care about leveling, they care about gear...2 things D3 blows at compared to D2.
I'm not aware of how the ladder system works? The horrible leveling ladder system? The system that proves and means nothing? Let's get 1 thing straight here boy, I was talking about a real system, a real skill system, a PvP ladder system, which obviously you have 0 clue about. Since all you do is rant and rave about how "gear and level" mean anything in high end D2 PvP. Cause they don't, as long as I am within 20 levels of you, and can maneuver my character, I can 5-0 you. That is how D2 PvP works, now I can understand if you are a scrub and think hammerdins are godly or that pub games are an indicator of high end PvP, I mean you did play on West, a server that was always years behind in technology to East and Europe. It's OK, I understand.
D2 classic had no end game? Level 99 wasn't an end game mechanic? PvP wasn't end game? MF wasn't end game? Trading wasn't ALL game? Practically all of these, are absent from D3. If they are in there, they are sad renditions of their past. Vanilla D2 stomps D3 in almost every way. You whining about immunities? Really? Cause that is hard to take out. Maybe it wasn't taken out because people who didn't suck at the game could handle it? There was gear to handle that situation and skills.

The skill system is....lazy. They couldn't properly balance the skills so they just threw the idea out the window and gave you everything. There are clear build winners with every cast, and the skills are "weaker"? D2 skills felt powerful, they felt like they made a difference, D3 skills feel like they were toned down and broken so that you had to use 7 skills.
Animations sure, it is 2012. So that is a big improvement.
The art style while not bad, I feel a more gothic style would of suited it better. Keep it closer to its roots, the armors look absolutely atrocious and fugly.
Story, wow..um they pretty much threw a ton of what happened in D1-D2 out and said this is what really happened. Then they gave us a ton of loose ends and questions that they most likely are never going to tie up. Id say the story was 1 of the weakest parts of the game, it felt very childish. Your guy was essentially a god, there was no losing in any scenario beside Cain, which wow...really? That is how Cain dies? Gotta be shitting me, to a no named random ass butterfly, may as well of just off'ed him in D1 if that was his fate.
End game...as of right now, there is no end game. No PvP, inferno is sad. Just because they are going to "fix" the problems, doesn't make it good. D2 had a better end game, with PvP at release, a real itemization, a real level limit, real goals. Not some fake difficulty that is really cheap mechanics in disguise.
That is great, you LOVE Diablo...then again you are also that guy who said that levels and gear make the PvP'er over skill. Also said that the leveling ladder was an indicator of PvP level apparently, so..take that for what you want. You at least made a logical response.

For example, I feel the combat has been improved in D3. I like the feel of attacks, they have more weight. That is a sure improvement to the series.
Now you can run it on a laptop, cool. That is a good feature, now why is that worthy of the Diablo name? I can run plenty of great games on a laptop. What did Diablo 3 do that was / is so great?

I posted my opinion on the matter, I asked what did Diablo 3 do right, what makes it so great and deserving of the name Diablo. You guys are so angry and pissed off haha at the fact that I have a different view then you, that you can't even name 1 thing that Diablo 3 did good. What a great game, its most blind delusional fans can't even answer a simple question on why it is good.
