Hello DiabloFans! Sorry if this has been asked before but...
What are the differences when playing Multiplayer?
I do know the monsters become significantly stronger.
What about drop rate of better items?
What about chances of finding champions and random mini quest or bosses?
What about golds drop by monster?
im sorry to tell you that none of those things increase like they did in D2.
the ONLY thing that changes from solo to co-op is monster HP and monster Damage. that is all. the drops, chance of drops, amount of monsters and gold do not increase at all. it was made this way to avoid making co-op the end-all for item hunting.
also unless you have a group of friends to play with, playing solo will yield better farming because your MF/GF isnt averaged out between the group and you'd be able to kill faster since monster hp is increased by 110% PER person who joins in Inferno and damage by 15% per person also. (it was 6.25% dmg increase in Diablo 2 per person)

I'm actually glad about that. I prefer to play solo much of the time due to the way so many people rush and plow through content. I'm glad to see I will be able to farm for items effectively on my own. Even better due to the way MF works in group, even.

With a 15% damage increase per person added onto this in Inferno...(As he mentioned generally in his entry paragraph)...The person would have to be able to bring something to the team defensively.
Like he said; if you don't know the person and you can't corroborate with them....then you may as well not play with them. They need to not only pull their own weight, but find ways to bring synergy to the table to reduce the impact of an increase in damage.

this. in Diablo 2 everyone just rushed forward and would not care to leave people behind at all and no one would talk so it was like i was playing by myself anyways <_<.

Yeah... I want to get to enjoy the game thoroughly, especially when it first comes out. Good to know I won't be penalized as far as finding gear for doing so. I waited forever for this game, I'm not about to spend my time chasing after a bunch of mute rushers and missing everything, ya know?

This may be true but the most fun I had in Diablo 2 was when I played with a friend of mine. I don't see a reason to play co-op unless it is with someone I know, trust or may in time enjoy playing with.
yea exactly. playing with randoms is almost never fun and its rare to run into nice talkative people
Willing to bet they will tweek multiplayer within a few months. Unless its impossible to beat anything past normal solo there is little to no incentive to play co-op. I'll be playing solo mostly through my first normal run if only cause while I stop to enjoy story moments and read things my friends are even MORE anal about it and what should be a 2 hour affair to clear say act 1 would easily turn into 4 hours between how slow they are and the whining that ensues if you get even remotely impatient they took 10 minutes to read a little bit of dialogue. lol
I'm going to play solo, but I'm pretty sure you're going to have to repeat different levels over and over again to get strong enough to go to the next part of the game. When doing content for the 2+ times, then I'll hop online.
I am playing through Normal by myself in order to fully enjoy the story of Diablo III at my own pace. As soon as I complete Normal I plan to play through Nightmare cooperatively.

Hmmm.. It's a 75% increase in health afaik? Or is that just < Inferno?
It increases by difficulty. 75% is for normal mode.

I still feel there is an advantage to playing as a group, the monsters may get harder and the mf is diluted among the players, but you may come across rare spawns and monsters that your one character can't handle. Since the stats are random on the rare spawns you need more players with a range of abilities to match the challenge. The more rare spawns and bosses you kill the more chance you have of a good item being dropped.

just my thoughts...
they have said over and over inferno is soloable and after all the information we have (refer to DPS thread) it will be even easier solo unless you have an extremely coordinated/good group. sure you may come cross a pack thats harder then usual for your specific build but not impossible by any means
