It really depends on the prefix suffix combos
I see alot of people saying you can't stack mf and still kill stuff
the best gear is going to have mf/gf/ resists/ main stat/stamina/+all stats or +dmg
your looking at up to 6 random atributes on stuff and its not going to be mf x6
now early on before you have perfectly rolled gear there might be a trade off of do you take mf + stam or mf + main stat (dex, str, int)
who knows. Tempted to say Wizard (based on history), but that's not really true since you don't really farm bosses anymore. Basically, pick whatever character you can kill faster with i guess.
this poll makes me think people put absolutely no thought in their choices and just instantly pick their favorite class regardless of anything else. because the barb obviously is going to be one of the worst MFers, melee classes always are.

"once the pretty hardcore gamers we had testing inferno found it fairly difficult, we then we doubled it" -trolololol jay wilson
Barbarian, hands down, due to the "treasure" find bonuses of certain runes (I believe hammer of the ancients and grim harvest are the two skills which have this).
However, my personal strategy will be to run a WD with my buddy who is rolling a DH at launch. My WD's survivability should allow me to clear content without needing high end gear, and in the process I will have hopefully found plenty of good gear for my MF Barb. Sacrificing the added dmg/utility of the other rune variants for increased MF is going to affect survivability greatly, especially with a pure melee class.
So, I'll be running WD first to find gear for my Barb (which I'll be running as my second toon) to balance out the skill deficit. While the Barb will hands down be the best MF character, I feel he will be even more dependant on gear than before (if you can believe that lol).

hands down? did you not know the barb was the only class in D2 who had the same type of MF skills? and he was also one of the absolute worst MF characters. paladin > sorc > sin > rest dont matter. again just more people not thinking anything through and only picking the class thats their favorite

Seeing as how the Witch Doctor is my favorite class, your argument is already void. Add the fact that you are comparing methods and hierarchy found in D2 with D3, and I'm inclined to think you have no idea what you are talking about lol. The barbarian of D3 is not the barbarian of old. And seeing as how teleporting is almost rendered useless in the way of MF, it all boils down to how hardy your character is. Obviously no one will really know the answer until we get in and play and I have a feeling they will be pretty close anyway, but the barb does have the most +"treasure find" skills of any class, so how could that not give him a bit of a lead??

They aren't picking the barb because its their favorite, they are picking him because he has a couple skills that forces the mobs to drop more loot.
However, as discussed earlier the extra loot will usually be gold and potions, and not gear. So that advantage is almost nil to the point it hardly even seems worth using in MF build.

were not talking about the WD, stay with your own opinion bud. its not how "hardy" a character is, its the classes damage output VS survivability ratio. which the barb has one of the lowest (second to the DH of course). and please dont use the argument that his one passive makes him somehow invincible/superior because if your below 20% life even with far higher dmg reduction you'll still die unless you flee or insta kill whoever is attacking you, and if you look at the guide it shows some mobs in inferno having almost 2m life so GL insta killing them

Yup... you have no idea what you are talking about lol.
You said people weren't thinking because they voted for their favorite class, I voted barb, but my favorite is Witch Doctor, therefore you are wrong...
You are also making farrrr too many assumptions about basically everything, so your point has no factual basis.
