Sudden? it's been a week I was always floating through avatars, this one just seems...me.
+ Sales tax.
You don't have to pay sales tax if you buy directly from blizzard. (unless you live in CA i'm guessing)
However, if you have the redcard debit linked to your checking account you get the 5% discount which for the most part compensates for it. In my guess my sales tax is 7.15% in Minnesota, so I come out like $2 ahead... but i cannot play until 9am when the store opens.

Ya there seems to be a very large urgency for playing at midnight for Diablo 3, more then any game I know, although saving money is saving money, its like getting a free cookie from Target for pre-ordering.
I think you can't use the $5 on the game itself. You get it after the purchase of the game, which means you have to buy something else in order to use the gift card.

I just bought one of my two copies from Best buy... I had $10 in reward certificates expiring on Saturday, so I got my first copy for $53.64.
I'm seriously trying to decide if i'm going to go with the Target preorder, or go straight from blizzard.

Who in this Country (united states) doesn't buy stuff from target on a regular basis anyways?

I've shoped at Target alot, you actually do get to use it right then.
Just thought I'd share it with you all first, since I love you all, and yes that $1 goes towards the reservation so its a free $5 off.

Nope $59.99, so $54.99 with that deal.

Target = $59.99*.095+ 59.99*.0715-$5.00 = 56.21.
Blizzard = $59.99 but midnight release.
Problem is ... I have to work Tuesday and probably won't be able to play until night anyways.
