Is anybody else worried about item farmers in D3? In other games, like D2, buying items and gold was risky business, but now that there's the auction house, it changes. The groups in China and other nations that are able to have whole groups with full-time employment I'm afraid will ruin it.
With all those people running around and collecting the rarest items, the prices will drop and we will not be able to earn as much as we would be without the deflation. Of course, I wasn't planning on making a living off of D3, but I would still have enjoyed a little something.
And what about buying characters, as Blizzard mentioned was a possibility (I'm playing off of memory, so tell me if I'm wrong)? You could seriously log in and buy a level 60 person for a few dollars.
You already forget that people only have access to the RMAH in their own area. America has the American RMGH and Asia has the Asia RMGH, possibly even more refined. It won't be as easy for them to get an account into the American RMGH and "cash out" their funds, because they will have so many extra steps to get the money back to them it may end up not even being worth the trouble, not the mention with all that extra trouble they have to compete with almost every other potential player in selling items now. I would say Blizzard has thought this through and only time will show if theory trumps reality.
RMAH only works in its' own region. If you register an NA copy of Diablo 3, then you can only use the RMAH in NA
^this can be bypassed easily with a proxy IP.
So I used to be a GM for WoW, and we used to roll through and ban accounts using "known IP's" of proxies / known offenders etc. I no longer have any association with Bliz, but I would assume that this would be something they would look into as well for D3.

Don't they do that already?

The difference now is that they can sell things for money without players having to go to risky websites.
