You need more HP, Resist or Armor. You need to basicly want to aim to have the exact max HP that they would deal as damage. This way, you take the maximum amount possible that can be absorbed, and focus the rest on damage or other stats.

posted a message on Ranged: Worst Affix?
Invincible Minions is always the worst, no matter what the other affix are.

Also, the already fast Naga in Act 2 that can go invisible and avoid everything until they hit you are by far the most stupid idea ever.

I recently added Homebrew Channel to my Wii, and am playing through Lufia 1, and once I beat that, I plan to play Lufia 2. Some of the great SNES RPG games of yesteryear.

    Quote from Jinchuuriki

Socketing items the wrong way ruins them and then there are no way to remove them
I think socket slots is only an affix on magical and rare items, not on sets or legendary
But still, if you upgrade ur blacksmith i think he can make some pretty nice rare gear for level 60
And those items will probably have sockets, and for some chars the smithed items may be the best one if the stats are perfect

Almost everything about this is wrong, except that the blacksmith can create items. In the full game, you have access to a second merchant follower that will provide gem services, such as removal (and you even get the gem back), and I believe if my memory serves me right, ability to add sockets to certain pieces of gear.

You know it's going to be fun when not even Blizzards testers have beaten Inferno yet. Either they were not lying about Inferno, or their testers are bad, most likely the earlier.

posted a message on Elective mode for Stats in D3
If they do this, then someone will figure out which buttons you need to press to be "the best:, and in 365 days, we will all be just doing what blizzard already is doing, and auto-picking our stats based on whats "best".

It's the same thing in the end, what is the big deal.

I planned ahead for this being in Pacific Timezone, which is 1 hour ahead of EST and booked vacation starting on the 14th instead, so I can have time to prepare for the 4AM release.

posted a message on A Question Regarding Legendary and Set Items
I assume there will be class specific legendaries etc that will also pop up, not to mention Blizzard can easily add new items in future patchs, which would be one of the easiest things they could do to add to the game.

Items get more diverse as you level. Being that beta is only to level 13, you won't see many more interesting and unique affix that will drop later, as with anything. They will want to slowly introduce new affix slowly, not have them all available at low levels, when it will just confuse new players or provide little real benefit.

Magic items are the most common drop, followed by Rare items, which are meant to be, well, rare. Legendary items will also be dropping in much higher difficulties, which are a step above Yellow (Rare) items.

posted a message on How many types of items are there? (colours)
There is no official source, but the most accurate information we have is the Diablo 3 site and official item pages. Unless there are items in game that are not in that list, we can only assume the colors are final.

Green is definately reserved for quest items, so they won't use it again for another type of non-quest item. They may have a new use for purple, but I would assume they will save it for future updates if they come up with a cool idea for a new type of drop to add to the game.

posted a message on Crowd Control Diminishing Return's
There are no diminishing returns in PvE.

The length of the control is dependent on difficulty. If your mad Normal enemies can not 1 shot you, and resist everything you throw at them, then have someone play the game for you until Inferno, then take over from there.

Blizzard has also already said that abilities will be tuned differently for PvP, if required.

And because of that reason, they are scaling down all numbers in WoW (which is a good idea, I think).

Since when did they say they were doing something they were "considering" for the expansion after MoP? I feel bad for Blizzard, people really take anything they say and sprint full home with it, and it ends up so far from the truth that you can't even remember where it started.
