I've been good and interested in D3 ever since I beat D2 many many years ago. And I was still really excited for it last year. But I am now losing much of my interest in D3, as I have waited too long, and can see that it is not going to match up to the brilliance that D2 once was (before they ruined it with synergies).
Is it just me, or are others losing interest as well?
I'm not, It's going to be an awesome game that I will play for a long long time. Blizzcon is coming, so I am even more hyped. How is it not going to match D2, it's going to be so much better.
Just my opinion, but basing your like, or dislike on a game you've never played, is like saying you don't like a certain food, drink, or whatever without trying it ever. Interest may fade, but that's only because news has been slow, after blizzcon people will be clamoring again, and these forums will be over run with all kinds of hate/like threads like a few months ago.
The only way my interest in an upcoming game would wane is if a very strong contender is currently out (i.e. less than a year old). Runic really should have finished Torchlight 2 by now to cash in before D3 comes out but as it is they are going to see a lot less sales since it seems like they aren't trying to get their product out before the Juggernaut comes to wreck them and take most of the isometric ARPG pie.
im not going to place my opinion in a vote. but i will say i am losing interest. the beta started to early i believe even though the game looks well polished. if the game needed to be pushed back i dont think it should of started. alot of hype was generated regardless of what people think or say about blizzards marketing strategies. they built hype thats all that can be said. they released alot of information at one point and it seemed like a good sign for the game. but then they pushed it back and now people are starting to move away from it like me primarily because it won't release as soon as we had hoped. I ll be happy if i get a beta invite but im not focused to much into the game atm now that its been pushed back.

Went outside today, the graphics were ok. But the gameplay sucked
Honestly anyone who comes to these forums to make a thread about losing interest, is a hypocrite. If you have no interest, or are loosing interest, why start a thread to discuss it? Talking about it certainly isn't going to raise your interest. *shrug
I voted Yes even though I'm on this forum every time I connect to the internet. Every day I'm just hoping some good news about the release or anything to make me smile will come. Even though one might think you know all there is to know about Diablo 3, DFans keeps giving us great news. For example the banner system and everything that goes with it. It's really the only thing that kinda keeps me interested...
Don't get me wrong, when the game is released, I'm gonna destroy it! In the sense that I'm going to play to much

Nowadays I log in here mostly out of habit, and to read some of the great posters we have in this site. I also enjoy(ed) the community. The game, though, has lost most of its appeal to me.
Noone is losing interest!!!! Just pissed cus the wait is longer!!!
All this crap talk about "losing interest" will end once a release date is given!!!!!
What? Are you really telling me that there are people out there who will not purchase the game because they had to wait so long for it to come out? I call BS!
Stop this nonsense BS now!!!!!!
Posting stuff like this is not going to make Blizzard release it next week.
I'm losing interest in beta coverage, and I'm definitely not as excited about the game as I was when F&F beta started, but when it goes gold I'll definitely be pumped up again and am very excited about playing the game when it comes out. We've only seen a tiny portion of the entire thing, so it seems a little early to lose interest entirely.
Im losing interest in reading and checking videos and stuff ... but not in game, all I want is to play the game, since I dont have a beta key and already saw thousand videos about it Im just waiting my chance ...
I wouldn't say that I've lost interest in the game itself, but I've definitely lost interest in checking forums and following daily information about the game.
I still check for updates everyday...can't help it

May the heroes rise from the pit of despair and the bards sing of the day of death renewed to everlasting immortality....awaiting your return to the lands of Sanctuary may peace be with you on this day...your day of birth.
Despite the announcement of dumbing down the systems awhile back, I was still pretty excited. No, as bad as a move removing skill trees/stat allocation was, what really killed it is a combination of the following:
Suggested rune changes that could in no way, shape or form can be seen as good(It's bad for the developers, and bad for the players alike, just suggesting such is a huge piece of proof that Blizzard has become incompatant), and then they play games by releasing a Demo, but calling it a beta, which there Isn't a single aspect about this Demo that should lead people to think It's a beta(also it sickens me that people actually stick up for Blizzard, even when they pull **** like this. Whoever thinks this is a beta, should apply for a job at Blizzard, I'm sure they are looking for people to stroke their ego).
I've lost some interest in the beta... but only because there's not much content there. It's gotten a bit old looking at the same hour of stuff so many times.
But the game itself? Still super psyched. The beta confirmed that the same, good old Diablo magic is still there.
Im not going to vote either. But I will say, I haven't lost any excitement or interest in the game at all. I still have the same eagerness to play as I did since the WWI Paris announcement.
10 years > 4-5 more months.
If you can stay a fan and interested for that long, you should be fine for a couple more months.
When Diablo 3 was first announced I read every news story on it and new pretty much every piece of information that was announced, but i have pretty much completely stopped reading up on news and I haven't even watched any beta videos.
I can't tell if this is because I am not interested anymore, or if I just don't want it to be spoiled, it is probably a bit of both.
