I think I talk for everyone that Blizzard have made a kickass job in doing the characters. And being a bit drunk now and having free time over I would like to ask a question to you guys.
Do you think that having the UI to change a characters face would make the game a bit more fun? A lot of games have this feature (can't name anyone right now since I had one to many) and let say making a character like the monk a normal person with hair, or other tattoos on his or hers forehead. Having them trim the beard to mustasch (having a girl with mustasch isnt a good idea thou).
Thoughts? A Nice bonus, perhaps in a future expansion?
I know the character are small, but changing face would altso change the UI settings in a matter of PVP etc. (the icon of the face).
I wouldn't mind more customisation options at all, it will just add extra to the game. You can also zoom in on your character as seen from the released Barbarian gameplay.
I hope there's a beer coloured potion so I can buy some ale for my Barbarian. I don't think there'll be actual beer (like in WoW) because of the more serious nature of Diablo.
They won't have them because the characters we are playing are specific characters not just a barbarian in the world of sanctuary.
...is this some sort of argument? Because I don't see how it changes anything. Even more so when there are plenty of clones of your mighty "unique" heroes running around all over.

And that's exactly why there is only four players to a game.

No. the actual reason is because your characters face will not be seen so why spend the time and money developing something that will never be seen by the players.
This is just a lore reason for it

I'm sort of wondering about the zoom thing as well, was the zoom feature seen in some earlier videos actually a part of D3 or was it just for the blizzcon demos?

I was not aware that glasses existed in the Diablo universe. I have never seen anyone in any of the games wearing any sort of vision enhancing device on their face.
But, apart from that, I'm going to have to follow the notion that, even if you were given facial customization, you wouldn't be able to see it while playing from an isometric view.

Jason Statham looks like Jason Statham...does that help?
That was an old method of dialogue they had that has long since been discarded. It was never a player-controlled feature.
