My account was recently hacked and i did a roll back, i lost alot threw the new rollback but it gave me a new interest to play d3 again.
Problem is, feel kind of stuck, most upgrades now are 1 billion +
I know i want a mephs, maybe new bracers, and 2x 1h weapons instead of the slow skorn, but i dont want to die, i want to keep high dps but gain hp and increase survive ability. as it stands i can do about mp8, but i want mp10
post your monks, your advice, your tips, your thoughts going from a average player, to above average gear and on the verge of godly gear.
You're welcome to check mine out as well but I can't post links atm. Seraph#1317. He's a bit dangerous in regards to surviving, hps a bit low but that just keeps things interesting.
great dps, good health. what are your thoughts on vile wards? How do you find the WKL(fist weapon) does the lighting bonus really show? 300k is great dps, and your built to stack damage increase procs im curious at the numbers you must hit for.

Regarding Vile Wards, just craft. You can get better shoulders from crafting if you keep at it. Statistically, shoulders and bracers are easiest to craft well. The lightning bonus does not show up on your stat screen. If you rely on bells then it wont really be great for you since bells are not lightning damage. But FoT and SW are lightning based.
If you're interesting in the build I'm running, its Invis's speed palm build. You can read about it here:
Can do mp10 fairly well, acctually looking for a few pointers tho, build the set yesterday, have played monk abit but much more experienced with barbs^^
I can do mp10, but my problem is still getting 1 hit time to time, i believe leveling my paragon should boost my vit, but mp8 is so much quicker. I dont think dps is a big issue for mp10, its all taking the hits.. to me atleast.
Im conflicted with spec/weapons, i love to use 2x 1handed weapons, conflicted on which to use, but i love the spec with the bell, i leveled with it and find it fun.
I run skorn bell stun build with my 2nd monk(TR is optional,I found it good to move from pack to pack, same with passives(2 of them for spirit regen)).So far from 0-83 with same build farming act2:vault of assassin to get 5 stacks and some DE then to oasis and literally clear everything there, every event/dungeon for max exp. Here is my profile:http://d3up.com/b/1035030 ,also have choice for fleet footed passive and mantra of healing for infinite TR(fast essence farming in vault of assassin, only killing elites on MP6-7).I also have other monk, but didn't played him in a while(still have skorn equipped too):http://d3up.com/b/1063984#gear,also can handle Mp10 with ease.

LoH and LpS is just meh for higher mp´s. Your hp is freaking low and thats why you get down kinda fast vs. alot of affix combos. You simply lack ehp and enough lifesustain to survive on mp10. It seems you spend some gold on your current set(assume it bcuz of the 5% cc mempo). A few hints regarding upgrading your set:
- Get rid of those lacunis asap and craft bracers. A good craft offers way more ehp and the same or even higher dps then most lacunis hands down(no res but high dex 6% cc lacunis still giving more dps then rares but thats another story)
- Replace the shity hf ring with a good rare ring. With a ruby in the helm you dont need a hf ring when leveling at least on mp8.
- Get a better witching hour. The dex count on yours isnt bad but it lacks some ehp stats like res and/or vitality / %life.
If you wanne stick with a bell spec then you have 3 viable options for your weapon slot(s):
- High DPS skorn with lifesteal and using FoT/Quickening and WothF/Blazing Fist rune for better spi regen to maintain a high uptime of spamming bells.
- Rare mainhand(prefer speare or mace for the higher dmg range with high dps and at least ccd, os and +2,5% ls) and EF(open socket+ccd) as offhand. With decent ehp/dps single ls is mostly enoug. I still recommand havin a 2nd ls weapon for some nasty affix combos.
- Rare main- and offhand since the fear proc off of ef tends to be annoying. Using a bell spec its not that big deal since bells havin a quite low coeff to trigger the fear. I still would try getting an ef with less then 12% chance to fear. How ever a good combo of rare weapons isnt that far behind compared to an rare/ef setup.
Oh and you might think about changing your spec. Some of your choises are kinda weird tbh. This is one of the "standard bell specs" floating around: http://us.battle.net...eYSk!gUX!aZbcYa As someone just started playing monk i wouldnt recommand nirvana spec since you need to setup the burstphase proper or else your cds are totaly wasted.
Not sure how much you spend for your entire set but i have the feeling an experienced monk proberly ended up with higher ehp and edps.
This is the type of post im really in need of, i apreciate everyones feedback and posting there chars. Im looking at everything and compareing. About my skills, its been awhile since i played and iv been trying all kinds of skills just seeing how they react, i dont know how often the armory even updates.
I'm running around in a ZDS build right now. It's a build completly made for supporting other players. Works well in MP10 if you team up with some 170-200k+ dps players.
But since my damage is just over 21k I can't do anything alone. But team up with some good dps and stuff just melts.
The control and damage buffs are pretty awesome in this spec & gear aswell.
He's kinda new, as my Barb, I was a DH/Wiz player and recently went back to D3 and decided to try the other classes! Right now I'm leveling a WD but they are all mostly waiting for RoS to come out, I sold my gems and got 1b for the expansion and around 200m on the AH and some USD from previous transactions I did with the RMAH, but will save them and doubt I'd upgrade him much more with other than some lucky crafts...

All of your toons seem like they are on the same par, great gear
Pretty happy where I left off, most items are in the 1b plus range to upgrade and its not something I am interested in.
