Do you think making your text bigger is anything less than really fucking annoying?
My thought exactly, one post with increased font size enough. But a handful? Come on, enough already.
It's good news though, I'm definately excited about Inferno. I really hope they didn't just add another "stage" just to spread out the already existing difficulty. (If that makes sense).
In short, I want Normal/Nightmare/Hell to be as they would've been without Inferno. With Inferno being extremely difficult.
I have to restrain myself from saying something every single time this guy posts. I'm glad someone else did it. Increased, bold font, stacked on top of an embedded video. This is my rageface. Every single post of his is like this.
I'm hoping there is a bit of a difficulty ramp to match with the expected gear progression in Inferno, otherwise we'll just be smashing through it by the end, rather than still having to think a bit about those tricky boss fights.
There will probably still be a slight difficulty curve in Inferno, as enemies simply become more complex and have greater abilities later in the game, but we're making an effort to make it as even across the board as possible. It's something we'll very likely have to keep tweaking after release.
not much more but of course they can raise it with expansions

As long as they stick with the idea of avoiding cheap difficulty i am good. No 4 immunes or iron maiden. I think you will be able to solo hell. Jay has said they want to encourage party play, but not deter those who prefer to solo. I think inferno might require partying to an extent, but I don't think it will be impossible to solo.
Inferno <3 will be spending a lot (too much) time there ^^
I'm also guessing from the slide, and previous screen someone linked on these forums earlier this week, that we're down to just 4 types of gems? It's rather logical, seeing as all elemental damage on weapons is coming from enchantments (or maybe preexisting pre/affixes. This would be news to me, though it's not much to go on ^^
Well they only showed 3 runes so either they are just picking some things to show all of or they cut back our customization alot.

I truly wish that it would require a party to go through. If you can solo it that just means that they didnt make it hard enough or scale the monsters health and attack enough. Maybe if you have the Max-most bad-ass gear possible? Thoughts?

True. The thing is, I severely doubt they'd cut the runes down to 3, it's all about not putting to much on the screen. The gems however, as said, would be logical.
The previous screens I mentioned, did show ruby adding spelldmg when socked in a weapon. Likewise the sapphire added magic find in helmets, and amethyst added attacks per second in wep and move speed in helm.
I dont don think they are going to cut any of that. They may just simply make it more rare by spanning it over the course of 4 Difficulties now. Their added luxury for throwing another beast end-game time sucker. Love you Blizz.

I would hope they make it so that you can go through everything solo, but its equally challenging to do it alone as with 2, 3 or 4 players. sometimes you just want to be anti-social or just want to jump into a quick solo run.
At that point Inferno would lose all credibility. Period. Remember the days of fighting Uber Diablo back in D2. Near impossible to kill solo. They made him hard for a VERY good reason. That reason was anni, quite possibly, the most OP item in the game. Yes, if you purchased a smite pally off of d2legit.com or some item store like that then yes you could solo any of the ubers. The fact remains that to a normal player these challenges are near impossible unless they have great cooperation from their peers. I like to be greedy and play lone wolf just as much as the next guy, but being able ot solo Inferno would simply take away from it's legitimacy.

Good stuff. This is exactly what diablo 2 needed, rather than people taking specific runs although people will get comfortable and do this in diablo 3 they have a much better chance of just killing any monster than just going through to find a specific one. this is going to be sweet.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, but I remember blizz at one point mentioned that the whole game will be soloable, I just hope they stick to that while balancing the number of players/difficulty scale. oh and it has nothing to do with greed, its just the way I prefer to play games like this, with real life friends or alone.
WELL then I suppose that is another small micro quasm of Internet problems solved. Still, yes they said the whole game was soloable, but if you think about it logically... how will one player be able to take on a massive hoard of monster that are all at least level 61 AND much more powerful than them? You will probably be able to solo... just not that efficiently.
oh im not talking effective soloing, im expecting it to be extremely hard to solo inferno, even with the best of the best gear/runes etc, but not impossible.
4 times through the same content? Would've preferred castle defense style vs. Doing the same quests 4 times in a row... Unless there was something I missed about inferno other then adding another difficulty. Well I plan on enjoying the game either way!

I do agree we don't need too many gem types.
