Build Guide
Recent tests showed that Manald Heal damage is NOT affected by both ELITE DAMAGE (BoTP elite bonus does not work, Furnace does not work, SOJ = works!) or ELEMENTAL DAMAGE. I think this is a bug and might get fixed in the near future. Also Manald Heal damage is not affected by Arcane Torrent damage. More information here:

I do not recommend instantly salvaging your Traveler's Pledge with Lightning, or APDs. Just have them and wait for the fix. For now, you can just use INT/CHC/CHC amulet or IAS/CHC/CHD amulet. For Bracers = you can roll allres or life on hit instead of Lightning.
As for Arcane Torrent roll on helm and boots: you can leave AT roll on boots. But replace AR roll on helm with vit.
Here's an extra video:
PS: Keep in mind, are playing tal/vyr ARCHON you sill need a lightning roll somewhere, otherwise Archon will be arcane and won't proc MH at all.
So far it is the BEST non-Archon build i've ever seen. Even though it's based on procs, it has high damage potential and GR90+ is not a big problem to clear for most players at the end of the season. Cratic cleared GR90 at 1087 paragons. I cleared GR88 without a single death (see the video) at p1400 with mediocre gear. I believe this is the HIGHEST DPS non-archon build in existence.
A few tips/notes:
1) Always fight in density. Density procs PE gem and then you can melt elites in seconds. Also in density you are very tough because of APD stacks/procs.
2) This build is good at killing yellow elites and big trash packs, but bad at BLUE champion packs. Try to avoid blue packs.
3) Watch for Oculus Ring procs and teleport there asap. Illusionist passive is mostly for this.
4) Absolutely avoid Illusionist packs.
5) You need "Critical Hits grant x Arcane Power" on your Source + Topaz in Helm + 1 RCR roll on shoulders + MW - Conduit. This is mandatory for smooth gameplay / full Arcane Power and 100% uptime of Aquilas Cuirass. I tried playing without Topaz in helm and it's pretty sketchy.
6) You need Life of Hit somewhere, to recover. The best slot for this = Bracers. Second best slot => weapon. Third-> Helm.
7) As much attack speed as possible. Everywhere. The only CDR slot you may need would be on shoulders. Arcane Torrent is a channelling spell and to reach higher breakpoints and HIGHER PROC rate for Paralysis/Manald Heal -> you need all attack speed you can get.
For 3-4man group play:
You can try switching from Conduit to Force Weapon and use Glass Cannon/Unwavering Will/Elemental Exposure instead of Illusionist.
For Torment Speedfarming:
1) You can drop Deathwish for Woh or Aether Walker
2) With Aether Walker - drop Illusionist for Glass Cannon.
3) Magic Weapon - Force Weapon
Thank you!

I counted 7 procs in both parts of the video. So it might be an extra AT damage that killed the butcher faster in the end. hard to tell. It it still the essential part of build damage, and multuplied by 3000% of Tal and all the rest it does pack a punch still. 15 billion per sec have to be considered
I saw on d3planner that manald heal damage didn't not change with AT damage rolled off and on. It's like as seperate skill indeed.
It would be great to see 10 tests each (10 in a row with AT rolls and 10 in a row without AT rolls, and then summarize) to see the actual difference. Then we can truly decide if AT even worth it or not. I agree with you on the helm, it looks like VIT would be much better so far.
GL HF!
For speedfarming you can drop Orb for some Furnace or Aether Walker
So just to play around, I inserted Meteor instead of blizzard, and the meteor hits like a tank when paralysis is active. Have to be careful when managing AP to keep up Aquila but its huge burst. (Meteor with Lightning Rune)
Another great guide Angry ! ... I hate Archon too.
A few alternates that are working for me since I don't have optimal CHC/RCR gear & APD-bracers yet.
There are a few trade-offs ... the build is lots of fun and working fine till I get better gear ... :-D
Also used it to master the Tal Rasha set dungeon for S9 (swapping in Aether Walker in the cube).
On ps4, works pretty good, wand of woh seems stronger tho
Nice options here, and thank you! I will add these to the build!
Tal Rasha set has no boots
Etched Sigil spells also cannot proc manald heal. Procs do not proc other procs (general diablo rule)
I really want to try an Etched sigil variation of this build. I have a couple of ideas running around, loved this for the tips about how procs work.
Maybe i can come up with something fun - currently playing a Firebird/ES which works well but i suppose i can use TalRasha to get more damage out of the playstyle.
EB and Tal are very close in terms of damage btw, Tal wins, however.
Eh, i know. However if i pass over EW and cube a RoRG (which is a big hit for sure) i can equip channel spaulders, meteor boots, channel belt, both halo and manal heal. Still have the armor slot in the cube free but Aquila looks like a clear winner.
I cannot test the dps atm. Maybe it's just a wild guess - but you retain the manald heal procs, PLUS free arcane meteor spam (literally, one per second for free). Tbh the entire thing is due to using the belt that reduces the cost of channeled skills.
With channeling belt AT becomes free (around 8 ap per second cost with passive 10 ap per second regenerated). ES casts spenders on cooldown - no cooldown = 1 per second (cycles through spenders with their CDs but not actually triggering them).
It's what i'm testing now with Firebird - the setup is really similar and mechanically works. What i'm feeling now is that DPS is on the lower side while it's extremely tanky - that's why i was exploring TalRasha since most damage is tied to Meteors and Manald Heal helps quite a lot.
Also, i rolled a pretty godly Deathwish - current status here http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Coldkil-2265/hero/86753396
I'll try to put up something and see what happens.
Hey angry. Had to make an account to let you know Im loving this build and I'm actually having fun playing wizard again. Archon bores me and I was close to switching to another character because I thought Archon was the only viable option. Anyways one issue I seem to be having is against the rift guardian I'm having trouble staying above 90% arcane and that seems to be allowing most guardians to just 1 shot me.. And of course I'm not doing enough damage to be able to kill it before he goes thru both my lives. I'm not sure what exactly I'm missing or if sadly this this is just a con to the build. Lemee just say I'm not super geared.. Up to gr 83 so far. About half ancient gear.. All of which are augmented. Paragon 750. Crit chance is at 51%.. Have 3 aoc on my source. My rings and ammy aren't the best but I I made sure to have attack speed crit chance on them.. Only thing that's missing is crit damage on the rings which shouldn't affect my arcane at all. 650k life with 30k LoH. 35% attack speed. I have the topaz in my helm.. Paragon.. Then an rcr roll on my shoulders. All legendary gems are 80+ I watch your video and u didn't seem to have a problem keeping your cuirass up against the guardian on gr88 and I'm just wondering what I may be doing wrong or what I'm missing on my gear.. Or maybe since I'm not entirely ancient my vit just isn't high enough to survive. I have no issues staying above 90% through the rest of the rift. Thanks for the help!
