And if you want to level up a new character just for the fun of it, nothing is stopping you from doing that.

    Bingo.

    Or play hardcore...recklessly.

Third, D2 had ladders, PVP, Classic/Expansion modes and mods in offline mode. You had many, many more options. Build a pvp character, work on classic or expansion ladder characters, each class had 4-5 builds that required investment (if u didnt power level). in D3 you have one option. level a class and thats it.

Isn't starting new characters for ladder, pvp, and offline all just leveling a class? It seems like you just want Diablo 3 to have more ways that force you to re-level a character.

Looks like people really latched onto the subscription comment and think that means I think D3 should have no replayability. What it means is that Blizzard doesn't have to provide you with an infinite amount of new content for the life of the game.

    Dismissing...
Get every class to 70 (this is assuming i like every class)
    Face roll Torment 6.
Get account wide paragon to 100-200 (gives enough points to get everything a spec needs)

...as not being "replayability" is absurd. The average gamer will accomplish (maybe) them by coming back to the game again and again over time. Maybe they play a WD to 70, do a little adventure mode, and then go play Titanfall for awhile. Then they come back to Diablo 3 and play a Crusader up to 70 and maybe try out some hardcore, rinse/repeat.

...keep me interested for around a month or three
A game you may play for 3 straight months has no lengivity/replayability. Got it.

Why do you have to keep playing? D3 isn't a subscription game. Doing the above basically means you finished it.

    Was D2 a subscription game?

Was D1 a subscription game? It may shock people to know that everyone that bought D2 hasn't played it every day since 2000.

Five.....what a short-sell of this great utility we know as the socket. I'm not sure why the obvious hesitation to expand on this aspect?
The unique socketables (like eyes and such) from D2 would work really well in D3. If the add more socketables, they might be forced to make the stash bigger :P

Some of these suggestions have been brought up before: http://www.diablofan...nting-the-idea/

    On different quality keystones:

    - It feels like variety for the sake of variety. One type of rift that is suitably rare and provides a reward that makes diverting your normal game to complete is better than deciding whether or not a "low quality" rift will be worth it or not.

    - Rifts that aren't random is a non-starter. One of the main goals of the rifts is to provide a completely random experience. Static stuff is better served as an event in the bounty system.

    - Crafting or modifying rift keystones with existing rare mats (like pieces of the pony staff, for example), to lean a rift in a certain direction (maybe it's fiery or cold themed) could be neat.

posted a message on How do you guys feel about Bounty and Rifts?
I haven't played the RoS beta yet, but my impressions from a few bounty/rift runs at Blizzcon were that they were a lot of fun and were pretty varied, but sometimes could be "streaky". By streaky I mean all of your bounties would be exactly the same (go here, kill a guy).

Maybe there could be a guaranteed minimum number of each and then a pool of random ones. My strongest feedback: there should be more 'Den of Evil' type bounties (find dungeon, kill every monster) than 'Kill this guy' bounties.

Balancing rifts rewards/frequency is one of their top priorities if blue posts are any indication.

    Edit: added some clarification.

These complaints about (likely unfinised or not yet started) set bonuses being unfair to certain classes brings back some WoW nostalgia.

    It's not really about that.
They have changed the other 'class' sets, but left the worst one untouched.
    That's so sad :QQ:

Came by to say that Torment level 6 is insanely hard, I'm talking OG inferno hard. I don't think it's possible or at least not this early in beta.
This is my favorite Diablo 3 term...ever.

All these new systems being implemented, then yanked after a little bit,

That's just what Blizzard does. They like to iterate and try out things, inevitably, when you do that, stuff sometimes fails.

You should watch Wyatt's GDC speech, the amount of stuff they designed and yanked is pretty staggering.

    Here's a page with that talk: http://diablo.somepa...-talk-available

This is likely why they haven't said much about Ladders. They know it's an important feature to the community, and they want to make it sure it is perfect and ready to go when they finally lift the curtain.

posted a message on Should everything be wiped at the start of RoS?
My position on this (and BoA legendaries) is pretty much "don't care/who cares". I've had so many different characters in so many games that now don't exist. It's not a big deal if another set get wiped out. That being said, I know a lot of people that are pretty attached to their characters and such, and a wipe/reset is a pretty destructive solution to a temporary problem.

Wiping doesn't make a lot of sense. If Ladder ends up being a thing in RoS, that route will be there for those that like to play clean slate characters if they so choose (I'll likely be taking that option if it's available).

The idea of an "advantage" in a non-competitive, small group game is eh. I've been playing D3 pretty sparingly since the AH and RoS announcements since the game is going to be basically a whole new experience once release hits (or even 2.0.1).
