Dec 15, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on A Look into the Opening CinematicWhy are you visiting a site like this if you don't want spoilers? You shouldn't be looking at any d3 related site at all if you want a 100% fresh experience when d3 releases. Every single post that's ever been on this site has been a spoiler in some manner.Posted in: News

Dec 8, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on Simplified Skill TooltipsI could care less about this in a game like diablo. Maybe in WoW I choose to do things for maximum dps (since others are depending on me), but with diablo I use what's fun because it's 100% my time. I'm not wasting anyone else's time.Posted in: News

Nov 20, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on Diablo 3 User Interface Datamining - Bosses and WaypointsI have to wonder if some of these are fakes to mess with us. But, even if that isn't the case some of those fights could be the type where someone is controlled by an evil, so you fight them to free them, but not kill them.Posted in: News
lots of possibilities -
Nov 20, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on Act 1 through 4 Loading Screens, Wiki Digest #2If you're the kind of person that never wants spoilers and likes to enjoy a game 100% fresh then you're also a person that never visits sites like these. The only way to avoid spoilers with any game, movie, or tv show is to basically stay off half the internet.Posted in: News

it doesn't matter that they buff the other hatred generators. i need a skill that does single target damage on my left mouse. it's still going to be hungering. i don't need it to do aoe damage. i have an aoe ability on my right mouse. if i want to aoe, i hit my right mouse to spend hatred. so buffing the damage of those other abilities changes nothing.
the aoe spender changes also doesn't help. i use ball of lightning almost always. not because of any theoretical damage. the way it functions in most situations is superior to the rest. slightly buffing the damage of other skills isn't going to make me switch.

these are skills almost no one uses, so if you start using a skill you've never used before...
what's the point of making brand new abilities if people aren't even using the different ones already available

so we're okay

i have to agree on the WD offhand being bad, though. it's bad for Pet build WDs. you don't want your pets to be so crappy that you constantly have to summon them which is the point of a cooldown reduction. you want your pets to be tougher so they don't die as often.
i would not use that offhand even with a pet build. i want them to be alive. not dead and having to resummon.

that obviously can't happen so all religious belief is the result of humans putting it into your brain. not a god.

d3 doesn't have a subscription. the number of hours you get in playtime far exceeds almost every other game on the market without a subscription. 99% of games are lucky to give you 20-40 hours of playing. if you've played d3 to death and beat inferno then odds are you're clocking 200, maybe 300+ hours of playing. what other game did you make a one time payment for and play that much? it can't be many.
if we were talking about a WoW peer then fine. you're paying $15/mo and i'm sure plenty of people have played WoW for thousands of hours. but that's not what diablo is.
does $60 entitle you to 7+ years of content updates and thousands upon thousands of hours of playtime? like WoW? if you truly believe that then why don't you hold the same standard to any other game that sells for $50-60?

so anyone want to tell us how many "great" items you're suppose to find in a certain amount of time? If what you're finding now isn't good enough then that means you know how much is good enough. Just curious what would make people happy. be specific please.

you could avoid forums i guess if it bothers you. or maybe come up with your own builds and convince others to go apeshit over you.

there was nothing better about items in d2. if hell was the end of d3 with no inferno then it would be the same thing.

but act 1 farming isn't so bad if the build is fun
