what we'll probably get: a cryptic tweet that eventually leads us to an interview with an obscure blizzard employee we don't care about answering questions we didn't ask -
Dec 15, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on A Look into the Opening CinematicWhy are you visiting a site like this if you don't want spoilers? You shouldn't be looking at any d3 related site at all if you want a 100% fresh experience when d3 releases. Every single post that's ever been on this site has been a spoiler in some manner.Posted in: News

Dec 8, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on Simplified Skill TooltipsI could care less about this in a game like diablo. Maybe in WoW I choose to do things for maximum dps (since others are depending on me), but with diablo I use what's fun because it's 100% my time. I'm not wasting anyone else's time.Posted in: News

Nov 20, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on Diablo 3 User Interface Datamining - Bosses and WaypointsI have to wonder if some of these are fakes to mess with us. But, even if that isn't the case some of those fights could be the type where someone is controlled by an evil, so you fight them to free them, but not kill them.Posted in: News
lots of possibilities -
Nov 20, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on Act 1 through 4 Loading Screens, Wiki Digest #2If you're the kind of person that never wants spoilers and likes to enjoy a game 100% fresh then you're also a person that never visits sites like these. The only way to avoid spoilers with any game, movie, or tv show is to basically stay off half the internet.Posted in: News

make up minds please

that will cause plenty of people to choose it over 3rd party
unless you want to argue that the only people who ever use rmah are ones that used 3rd party sites anyways? that no new buyers exist because of the rmah?

i guess they'd rather have a huge progression path of some kind. seems like it might be clunky since they didn't build d3 with that in mind.

it's probably a good idea to just play games (any) an hour a day at most then do something else. get some hobbies that don't involve a computer or device of any kind.

it's not that they are too difficult, but too annoying

a lot of the hate you see on forums is spoiled children with a few rational, well thought out complaints mixed in. i think it's a complete waste of time and money for Blizzard to have forums. a small percent of the total number of customers will just use it for bitching (usually about something stupid). and if a Bliz rep posts there it's not going to be seen by most of the players, just the whiners who won't be happy with anything.
they should dump most of the forums and just have guest posts for class and gameplay related topics. let players submit their own guides and such for approval and then have it posted with moderated comments and questions. that way when normal people actually visit the site they can see useful, relevant information instead of a few thousand brats going crazy and trolling.

also gold find isn't a bad option either. you know for certain that gold is going to drop. enough gold find will more than double your pick ups from a run. it adds up.

this is part of the d3 community. why does it matter if it's inside the game or not? if you want to make friends to play with then this forum can serve that purpose just like many others. and you don't have to stop there. there's a zillion social platforms on the internet where you can meet other d3 players.
it doesn't need to be a chat room inside d3

build a gold find set so that you break 300, 350 gf with 5 stacks. hell, maybe even 400 if you dig for gear hard enough.
guess what? you'll be pretty damn wealthy after some farming and you can buy whatever you want unless you're eyeing the 50 billion gold weapon some random idiot puts up. be smart in your ah browsing and you'll have no trouble at all.
meanwhile you may still get lucky with drops on top of the certain gold. the bonus is that it makes killing normal monsters more lucrative. clear entire maps without caring about elite packs. you'll make a lot of gold.

they shouldn't be invincible, but they shouldn't explode in 0.7 seconds to wasp missiles either
in a way i think blizzard tipped their hand with item skill buffs. you'll find zombie dog skills on items as, "reduces the cooldown". that kind of tells us they meant for dogs to be trash throwaway pets that we constantly have to resummon. i'm hoping they'll reverse course on that.

that's around a full time job worth of hours. a lot of players complaining probably did this. they played 40+ hours a week or more and burned out. all of a sudden they start finding all of these problems with the game that drives them crazy. it's like hooking up with a girlfriend and then never spending time apart for any reason. you'll drive each other crazy no matter how much you love one another.
