ye as i mentioned, you could also use provoke the pack, but i personally find it not as handy as Next of Kin, because you buff yourself yes, but this buff has no use if you have no dogs anymore and have to wait till the next spawns. with next of kin you sometimes can just spam like 10 shots. maybe it depends also on difficulty, because in like T3-4 you can buff yourself and can run around while waiting for next dog, but i tested in T6, so there you can't really run for a long time, because mobs are angry and do damage to yourself in that time
also:
"Exploding Palm just remove this crap."
"Seven Sided Strike should apply Exploding Palm but the effect to make enemies be affected by 2,000% weapon damage when exploding. Also Seven Sided Strike should have its damage raised to 13,000% or 15,000% and removing its cd reduce rune. It would be a really cool and OP Skill."
hm ye .. makes sense ^^ besides, 13k % ? really ? ;D so u wanna make monks from (really) low as atm, to best class ever ? not really balanced imo .. see "Inner Sanctuary is a really cool skill, but it should follow you." ;D
I'll definitely give that a go! Mind linking me to your profile?
thisis my profile , but my monk has storm set on.afaik links to profiles are linking currently only to live server, i play on PTR. but if you're interested in skills and items, i can tell you like this: skills
and items are:
shoulders: sunwuko dex/vit/ar/8% CD
helm: new madstone dex/CC/sock
amulet: sunwuko (just get/roll the best you can with preferrably holy%/CC/CHD or CDR)
rings: RoRG with CC/CDR 8%, SoJ (preferrably holy%/CDR or CC)
main weapon: borns (sock, dex,CDR), offhand: Fist of Azz
pants & boots: Cpt. Crimsons
pretty satisfied with this build, like it the most of all i've tested. not only but also because of the new Madstone (applies a palm before every strike of SSS and thus it counts to the spirit counter of sunwuko -> 3-5 procs each SSS) hope this stays viable after the upcoming change of EP
you can use sunwuko 3pc with innas 3pc and choose skills like air ally and mantra for spirit regen with the gardian passive for max spirit regen.as element you choose holy, because the procs from sunwuko are holy dmg.
currently i'm running a CDR build though, amu, gloves and shoulders sunwuko, new madstone, born chest + weapon. this way you get spirit regen from epiphany(soothing mist) and have skill slots for other purposes. with the new madstone i am running with SSS:FO and can clearly spam it (70% CDR atm)
also, it's my favourite build so far from all possible builds.
Does anyone else find the Fetishes slightly too squishy even with things like Jungle Fortitude? I know they are expendable but sometimes they get melted. Any advice for keeping them alive a tad longer?
i think there was a gem that makes your pets immortal, so it's a future thing
somehow undocumented: Hellfire Amulet doesn't roll it's intended random passive skill yet ^^
You mean the amulet gets crafted but doesn't get any passive rolled? I don't get it, the ones I saw had the passives. Or maybe it isn't "random"? It's always the same? Anyways, some clarification on what you meant would be nice
this.
don't know if it's a class specific bug, but i think i've tested it with (almost) all my chars, but i'll look again, though it's still a bug, because i want to have it with wd, and not another ;D
maybe it's also a version bug, e.g. that only english versions of PTR have the right one, don't know.
ok, but then it's also a question of efficiency, because the mobs have more hp and i think running all together to each boss takes not really less time than running solo.
but if some members of the group are lucky enough to get the artifacts most of the time, you maybe can clear "more" portals, i agree.
now THAT is crazy ! interesting, if it applies the palm before the actual hit of the SSS "hits" it's target. if so, then it might eventually work as a "chuck norris roundhouse destroying kick"
now this spirit stone deserves it's name ..
@Atheistus
thx, but maybe you don't even have to. i will try also changing to other class and simply look at the crafting plan. maybe it's a bug for individual classes, that some can't craft the "intended" amulet, let's see..
it is truly "unrewarding", when the chance to drop a single key/organ is 50% on T6 (!). you need 4 of them, which implies that you have to find the warden first, kill it on the highest difficulty you can and have in mind, that you most likely will have to do another run. while the wardens in Act3 & 4 are "relatively" easy to find, the first two take much more time in most cases.
now that you finally farmed all 4 keys, you go ahead and kill the ubers on the highest difficulty possible and again with only 50-50 chance on T6. Well, for me it's ok. I don't mind grinding some hours to be able to craft this amulet, but not everyone has/wants to use a nearly perfect geared Jade WD and by far not every one plays on T6 only. And then you craft a completely random amulet with a random Passive for your class. I think the leg drop rate buff had less "QQ"-spirit than this, despite the power that this amu might have in final rollout. They surely will have to increase the rates at least by 10-25% for each, then it's good reasonable i think. Keep in mind that you still will need 10 souls for 1 amulet (!), which might be also lowered in final version .. ^^
i still didn't get how some would manage to hunt keys "in group" but let's not be too Greedy...
IMO, the title of the topic should be changed: Hellfire Amulet won't be our ONLY choice obviously, but it will most definitely be BIS, if you'll get lucky enough to get good rolls on and a useful passive. For example, as a wizard, I'd really like to have one with the Blur passive, since 17% toughness boost without a DPS trade-off is actually huge. I think every class has a passive like that, fitting every build.
This.
Also, I think blizzard will most likely pimp the drop rates of keys and/or organs, at current state it's really the latest thing you want to do for game progression. but once they have increased drop rates, it will be amulet #1 for me i think, the classes i mostly play have just so nice and so many passives, that i will grind for it.
imagine if this one rolls well, maybe not perfect, but nice with one of the needed passives. Then i would probably sacrifice mainstat for a socket to get a nice leg gem in there .. mhh yummy
ye i also think it will open many possibilities for amulets, since, from my experience, not many amulets roll nice nor do they drop like health pots.
if "regular" leg-ammys gonna stay with the 5 primaries, they will surely be first choice for classes with max 4-5 good (standard) passives, and i bet the hellfire amulet will be first choice by others, like Helycon mentioned above: i find the WD passives quite nice, many for damage boost, also the monks and crusaders will probably use them.
But let's first check out how the legendary gems will synergize with the 5-stat-ammys with socket
And sure, farming like crazy on PTR has no sense, and i also think even on live, because I for example will play seasons, that's why I also count the live server as waste of time to progress on. but having a clue how things are coming and will be never was wrong.
