    Interviews with the Devs
After 'Reaper of Souls' was announced on Wednesday, the developers gave a bunch of interviews to various medias, YouTubers and streamers. Here is a small part of them, starting with Athene's 4 and a half minute talk with D3's game director Josh Mosqueira and the game's art director Christian Lichtner.

As a long-time gamer and a Blizzard fan, Athene got a few very interesting questions out of the way, making the developers give hints to the possible PVP system.

Check it out and see for yourselves, then let us know what you think and what you could make of Josh' and Christian's answers.

The German site PCGames.de also did a great interview, this time with Brian Kindregan, the lead writer for Diablo III, and the lead designer Kevin Martens.

If you want even more information from the source, you should definitely check Gamona.de's interview as well!

Summarized information of all that you see and all that you may have missed, is coming in DiabloFans' Final Expansion Recap on Sunday!

Full RoS Gamescom Presentation in HD
Instead of just looking at blurry photos from Blizzard's gamescom presentation, you should have a look at this 30-minute HD video of the RoS talk. There are a lot of details that our recap may have missed, so make sure to trust your own eyes.

    Official Gameplay Screenshots
A beautiful collection of ingame screenshots was released by Blizzard today. Along with it, the official expansion site got pretty well filled up with info, screenshots, art and videos.

The interview with the chick confirms only one xpac class.

    Specifically at 9:54 onward.

I'm really in two minds about that. I would have liked more classes, but I actually pretty much only play two at the moment anyway, and if they really do nail the build-enabling legendaries, that'll add enough variation to keep me going for another holycraphowmany more hours.

This expansion seems light on content compared to LoD(only one class and Act 5 the same length as Act 2), but then again there are Loot Runs, the existing classes are also getting new skills and all the game systems are getting big sweeping changes. I'm probably most excited about the prospect of a fresh economy, this time with the benefit of all the lessons learned from vanila. They've been very vague on how they plan to diminish the importance of the AH, but at least they're saying straight out that that's what their goal is. My guess is it will be a combination of personalized loot and the Mystic making items account bound, which is both a top-tier gold sink and a way to remove items from the economy.

Nice interviews but the girl should get more into the story of Diablo. The angels have not always been the "good guys". Like the blizz guy says they're neutral and have been observing Sanctuary and letting the Nephalem choose their own side - angel's or demon's. Actually both Inarius and Tyrael wanted and actively tried to destroy the Nephalem during The Sin War and Imperius wanted them gone when deciding their fate, where the archangels also happened to discuss and negotiate with the Prime Evils. Malthael obviously never gave a shit about the humans or Nephalem either. It's just because of Tyrael always helping the player in the games since D2 that makes the angels look like the human's saviors.

We need to disassociate the prexpac patch from the xpac itself. When you do that, you'll find that the only thing the xpac adds is a 1 class, 1 act, and the mystic...so far.

Yeah, isn't that great? We get all that stuff for free and even before the x-pac launch.

I agree, compared to earlier Blizzard expansions this seems a bit light - but we all need to consider this; maybe they are making it light, because they want to sell it at the price of other games' DLC (15 USD/10 GBP). This would make sense with Diablo 3 hitting consoles. Maybe they haven't announced price and package/CE because this will be downloadable only (essentially making it a DLC). I hope this is not the case, and of course this is all purely guesswork, but at the same time it kind of makes sense.

Sure, free stuff is great.. as long as they price the expansion after what we get in it, compared to the free stuff. Would hate to have to pay 35 USD for a class and an act.

Seriosly? You don't know what will be patch 2.0 and what will be in expansion and they haven't even announced everything that is coming in the expansion yet...

My guess is that loot runs, nephalem trails etc. will be exp only stuff.

I'm pretty sure the Paragon Levels will still cap out at 300 MF/GF, it would be silly if they gave you infinite MF/GF.

Paragon level give point you spend in base, attack, defense and adventure stats. I haven't seen any screen of adventure stats, but the base stats is capped at 50.

So I guess eventually you will cap all stats and your new points can't be spent anywhere... You just gain new paragon levels.

I wonder if you will have to spend paragon points to get the current benefits from paragon MF/GF. As in you need to spend 100 paragon points to get the MF/GF cap.

We've had a lot of infos of how low level legendaries will be available at higher level but does anyone know if the opposite will be true (high level legendaries available at lower levels) ? For example will a Manticore be available at lvl 30 ?

Oh yeah...I forgot. Aside form the Act, the class, the mystic, we also have 10 additional character levels and with it new skills with their corresponding runes for the expansion.

I hope there's more than that though. The free patch (Loot 2.0, Paragon 2.0, Nephalem Trials, Loot runs) looks really great so the expansion needs to bring something more than that unless the expansion is really light and costs 25% of the vanilla like phatosen said, I mean D2:LoD had the runewords which broken as they are, changed D2 forever.

Blizzard will definitely announce more expansion content at Blizzcon. That's the place for which you save the juiciest info.
Josh stated that they picked only a few topics to talk about at Gamescom, and that there's a lot more to the expansion. Also, whoever thinks the game will cost less than 40$ is quite delusional. xD

Newest interview: D3 Reaper of Souls YES or NO interview with Josh Mosqueira in Gamescom 2013. He revealed many secrets of D3 Reaper of Souls lore never opened to the public.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaP6aWGzWp0

One example: We are gonna see the Pandemonium Fortress (which, apparently, has changed drastically from D2) and more in RoS.

Another: There is a definite chance that we'll encounter one or more of the Evils from D2, since Josh replies "Maybe."

Big-ass example: We will get Beta this year. This year!!! :D
    "God? What's that?"

"The higher a player's paragon level, the easier he/she can play reaper of souls" - "No." WTF? :D

Well, he answered the questions "I hope the beta will be available this year" with "YES", not "there will be a beta this year". Of course he hopes to release beta this year.
