Last time they hyped Diablo, people were disappointed. They learned their lesson. Whatever they reveal, they know they have to release it within a year of their announcement, following how they released Overwatch, and avoid what they did for the release of vanilla D3 and Heroes of the Storm.
With how divided the community is about the franchise, all I can say is, they're damned either way.

Probably means there is more content to the patch than just compatibility to modern platforms.
If it's a patch as large as D2's later patches or something as large as D3's major patches, that'd be great.

I want to see more ffa class generic sets like Blackthorne's, speaking of which needs some sort of upgrade.

With every passing patch, class skills are becoming more and more alike. That confidence ritual for WDs is a far better version of the Wizard's audacity passive. Additionally, monks have the least number of skills in the game and they gave the WD another passive.

Gone are the days when Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac gave +50 res all and +20 to all stats. Good old Griswold used to sell me that stuff.

I believe the "packs" are the future of the game until the next iteration of the franchise comes. They're moving out of the large expansions market and going the way of the dlc, something similar to the SC2 Nova missions. I expect no more large "buy a box" expansions, but i'm not ruling out the small possibility of one.
I expect the Druid to be the next pack, or possibly an Act 6 Skovos pack.

But Diablo never dies. He always comes back...

I don't know how posting in an unofficial forum will help you in any way to being unbanned.

Would've been interesting to see a turn-based Diablo1 too... right? Brevik's idea is barely a game. Don't fill in the blanks, you'll only break your heart over nothing.

Could be a "Immediately deal all your bleed damage."

Build/gear/skill swap are agreeable.

Basically, Dustin Browder explains two new heroes for HotS, a D3 Wizard and a D2 Necromancer. What do you guys think? Do you think this is a sign of an expansion? A sign of the return of the necro?

As for D3, as with all other dev teams in Blizzard, they are are working hard for a game they practically do not earn from anymore. D3 is getting more major patches than D2 ever did, and still many complain about D3 having no support.

I think we're way passed Diablo season on Heroes. If anything, a WC batch (due to new expansion) is coming after a possible Overwatch batch (due to possible release of Overwatch) which should be tailing after the present SC batch.

We play at the mercy of rng.

Where does it say Diablo is dead?

I've always believed RoS was a quick patch up to save D3 Vanilla and it always felt incomplete on it's release. A new expansion would likely have more content this time around. Hopefully, 3 new classes will come from it unless hybrid primaries or another expansion is on the pipeline.
In terms of how classes feel right now in order to determine the new classes, as a player who mains a monk, I feel the monk has fallen so far off path, he feels more of a d2barb-paladin than a assassin-paladin. The monk never felt like a complete class since its inception. That being said, we might get a class to fill in that niche in the expansion.
Also, I'm all in on a Bard class. We need some six string samurais in Sanctuary.

A hoplite/legionnaire/spear man and a skinwalker/druid and a bard. This game needs a bard. P:

Again, argument doesn't seem right when taking into account a possible party of IKs Barbarians, a party of Inna's/Crudest monks, a party of MirrorImage toting Wizards and a party of Marauder's DH. A fullset Asheara would produce around the same if not less number of clutter on screen.
CarnevilZuni easily produces over 15 fetishes, multiplied by 4 for each party member, multiplied by 2 for each projectile created. That's 120+ assets on screen not counting mobs, other skill effects, other legendary effects. In comparison, Carnevil produces at least 4 times more clutter than any of those other sets. Hence, the need for the Carnevil tweak, hence no word about the other sets because they produce a manageable amount of clutter.
If you still disagree, let's just agree to disagree. I don't want to derail the topic any further.

That doesn't really make sense if they allow the effects from IK. Carnevil tweaked is a consequence of the fact that a WD can produce too many fetishes.
