Diablo 3 and Consoles
We already knew blizzard has been actively seeking new workers for the Diablo console project. A recent tweet from bashiok has once again confirmed this, along with informing us of who the projects lead designer is.
Wizard - Electrocute Runed
Today we have the Wizard's Electrocute spell runed (Minus the Alabaster rune). As always please keep in mind some effects or graphics may be missing or not be working correctly!
New Info Coming In the Next Few Weeks
It looks like we will not have to wait to long to get information on the new game systems blizzard has been working on. Bashiok replied on twitter saying we should see some new information in the next few weeks.

Diablo 3 Comic
chewingfat came out awhile back with a short comic titled "scroll of companion".
Josh has been lead on the console project since Blizzcon. He gave a lot of interviews, most of which were dodging questions about when the console version would come out (deja vu).
I really hope this isn't anything like the Sc2 for consoles was. If i remember correctly there was a Diablo for consoles before as well, and the game just didn't feel the same. Would be interesting to see how the gameplay is different from console to P.c. though, and what kind of different aspects it brings to things like Hardcore.

"More info on the game will be coming in a few weeks" Which means that we'll have to wait weeks to get more information on the game.

Did that guy intended to ask if D3 comes on consoles on release ? Because unless you were leaving in a cave for the past year we all know they are trying to get a console version. If I'd been Bashiok I'd replied "Google ftw !" .
Why is Bashiok telling him the name of the lead designer for Diablo console project ? Is he trying to tell "Idk man, go talk with this lead guy !" ?
Did that conversation end there with an "Yup" ?

Maybe that guy got hired recently and Bashiok just wanted to announce that things are moving forward with the console development.
I think i get the full picture by connecting the dots from all the blue posts.
Game won't be released anytime in q1 2012, why?
First, they mentioned that the game release has to be 2 month window time in advance from the date of announcement.
And my expectation that they of course know when they will announce the release date, and what is their daily plan to accomplish their daily task to meet their target in releasing the game, i.e they are afraid for saying it on public that game will be postponed again from q1 2012 into q2 2012, which i am so assure that it will be by 2nd quarter.
If they are trying to release the game pc and console versions at once, or if the korea RMAH is really the main obstacle with the game rating info, or changing the mob health and defense system from attacking in inferno mode ? adjusting the rune system? i understand all that... but here is my point it will be like i said q2 2012.
Bashiok even corrected his blue post by saying early 2012 not q1 2012, ( q1 2012 means from jan to march) early 2012 means from (jan to june), q2 2012 means from (april to july).
To those probably wondering about the console release date. I believe it was mentioned that the P.C release date and production would not be effected what-so-ever by the console development or release date. Apologies that I don't have any solid evidence of this but I do recall reading a thread about it a few months ago and this being mentioned by a blue.

the psx diablo did suck but Blizzard has come a long way in game development...sure they don't have a ton of console experience but I'm confident they'd do a much better job this time
I don't think it would affect us, I would think there would be separate servers for pc and console like all games. I don't know of a game on pc and console you can play with each other cross platform. The servers are configured too differently. Good for blizzard, and good for us. More priority on the game if more people play it, and more funding for faster development(faster then a dead snail I mean). Unless the console somehow affects PC I don't care.
1: Will it always be online like the pc Version and if not well that just proves the always online aspect for the pc is stricly DRM and nothing more.
2: Will there be real money involved with the AH.
You know if i think about it if its not always online i will get it on console instead of Pc because living in Australia i reckon Hardcore will be very very hard to play with lag and all....
