posted a message on HZ Wizard GR 50-51 Videos, feedback.

So I wanted to start recording some of my greater rifts and to commentate them as I went. I'm not trying to be a full time youtube streamer or become a known personality in the D3 gaming scene but any feedback you guys could give me on my videos would be great! There are plenty of dumb things I say and do and I struggle with being concise but i'm trying to work on that!

Some new videos if anyone is interested.

posted a message on Crusader, Laws of Justice - Broken
I run into what I can only assuming is "Working as intended" or straight out broken/bugged.
I was playing my level 70 crusader, I had fairly decent gear and was happily farming Torment 1 and 2 in both solo and group play. I had 22mil toughness which was a mixture of resistances/armour/life I also had 18,00 healing through regen and life on hit. For some time I mostly played with Blessed Shield and Blessed Hammer builds but after picking up 2 pieces of Invoker gear and the thorns bracers from the cache (I forget its name) I decided to try out a thorns build.

I took a bunch of skills like

    Condemned - Reciprocate
    Iron Skin - Reflective Skin
    Provoke - Charged Up
Laws of Justice - Protect The Innocent

The idea of my build was I would cast Laws of Justice with Condemned and Provoke and Ironskin all at once to takes larges amount of damage which would stacks with the thorns and create a large aoe explosion. This is where things took a turn for the worse. I was playing along solo doing really well on Torment 1, then a friend of mine joined my game. My friend happens to play a Witch Doctor, however his build focuses on using Fetish Sycophants passive along with Firebats "spam" to summon alot of fetishes constantly, he also uses the Gargantuan pet.

We didn't notice anything at the very start but soon enough he had roughly 10-12 fetishes out and his Garg, I then proceeded to cast Laws of Justice - Protect the Innocent ..... and I died INSTANTLY. I'm talking so fast there was nothing anyone could do. I dropped from 100%-0% before I even blinked (sadly I play Hardcore).

The only thing that was present on the screen was a bunch of non elite skeletons, there was no molten, no frozen no poison (Not that any of that mattered as my stats and gear meant they were a non-issue anyway). The only thing that we could merit to me dying in such a fashion was that Laws of Justice - Protect the Innocent ALSO procced 20% of his pets damage aswell. So not only did I take damage from him but also from 15+ pets.

Is this working as intended, should the skill be redirecting pet damage to the caster or is this a bug?

    Quote from Trance

Corpsie. Why are you trying to mislead people? Read post #3

"There is no increase/decrease in the quality of legendaries based on difficulty though; you will not get higher affix rolls if you play Torment 6, the affix range remains the same"
That is not what the Blue said though, thats just something another person has added, feel free to actually follow the link and read it yourself O.o

The blues have never stated that Torment dosen't increase the affix range, they have only confirmed that increaing the torment level increases the legendary find rate.

There was a big write up on the official forums from an MVP pointing out that torment does increase the affix range. Ontop of this what other logical reason do they have to display 2 affix roll ranges of the same affix on items?

posted a message on Item quality stat differences between normal and torment lvls
It regards to the item quality legendaries roll different affix ranges for normal/hard/expert/masters then they do for Torment.

For item specific rolls you can check the item itself on the Diablo 3 item guide website it will list all the items with seemingly duplicate affix ranges but this is in fact the difficulty ranges ill give you an example.

    Hack

    • Legendary Axe
    • 36.4
    • Damage Per Second
      20–36Damage

      1.30Attacks per Second

    Secondary

75–100%of your Thorns damage is applied on every attack.

    • One of14Magic Properties (varies)

      • +(3–6)–(7–14)Arcane Damage <---- Roll range when found on Normal/hard/expert/Masters

+(32–39)–(39–49)Arcane Damage <--- Roll range when found on Torment 1+

        +(3–6)–(7–14)Poison Damage

+(32–39)–(39–49)Poison Damage<--- Roll range when found on Torment 1+

        +(3–6)–(7–14)Lightning Damage

+(32–39)–(39–49)Lightning Damage<--- Roll range when found on Torment 1+

+(32–39)–(39–49)Holy Damage<--- Roll range when found on Torment 1+

        +(3–6)–(7–14)Holy Damage

+(32–39)–(39–49)Cold Damage<--- Roll range when found on Torment 1+

        +(2–3)–(4–7)Cold Damage

+(32–39)–(39–49)Fire Damage<--- Roll range when found on Torment 1+

        +(3–6)–(7–14)Fire Damage

        +(32–39)–(39–49)Damage

        +3–6Minimum Damage

        +4–8Maximum Damage

    • +3Random Magic Properties
    • Empty Socket

So to find the VERY BEST POSSIBLE ITEMS you need to be playing on Torment 1+, you can get most items on any difficulty but if you want the best rolled items you have to play Torment.

posted a message on Rares dropping identified in beta
Its stated that you can change the settings in game to display the item's slot picture (exactly the same as it currently in on console) instead of its name. As far as i'm concerned this should be by default with the option to display the name.

posted a message on RoS Beta initial impressions?
I'm beginning to get concerned the more I watch streams on the direction of the game, its seemly heading down the instant gratification that the console version gives. This initially gives you a great reason to play initially but in the long term its detrimental to the games "health".

Mainly I'm seeing streams hit level 70 and instantly be able to reforge gear and find new items so quickly (think 30 minutes) that boosts their stats so high they farm "hard" which is around MP6 in old school terms.

The problem then compounds, once you start doing the higher tier of difficulties you start having higher legendary and item drop rates so you start getting insane items (1Handers rolling 3k+ damage ranges on rares). all of this with-in just 1-2 days of playing the game, so what will happen in 3-6 months time once EVERYONE is kitted out like this?

You will be stuck int he same rut we are in now, you will hit a point where you are so decked out that finding upgrades is pretty hard to do, and you will likely be at a level where you demolish everything and the game will turn into you finding some random legendary that will give you a "game changer" type affix ie makes you try a different build but doesn't actually change the game that much for you. You are still wiping screens, finding sub par loot rinse repeating.

posted a message on Hearthstone - A Blind First Look at Blizzard's Online Collectible Card Game
I've never played a card game before, but this is amazing, I simple get so absorbed into the game that hours pass without me knowing. I've also finally unlocked all the classes now which gives you access to "the arena" which is just down right awesome.

There are 2 ways to get into the arena, you pay $2 or use 150 in game gold (which you gain from completing quests like win 3 matches or win matches of a certain class). Once you pay the entry fee you get give 3 choices at a time of random cards to build a deck, so your first choice is 1 of 3 random classes. Then you get you choose 1 of 3 random cards (it gives you a new 3 everytime you choose 1) until you build a full deck of 30 cards. This makes it the more enjoyable way to play because there is a bit more fairness to it and im not just getting wiped off the screen by people that just build crazy awesome decks with all the best cards. Once you have your deck you play games against other people, you have 3 "lives" if you lose a game you lose 1 life, if you win you simply continue to play on until you lose 3 times. After you have lost all 3 lives you are given a reward and what you receive is based on how many wins you got. I'm heaps shit and so ive only ever won 1 game in both times ive tried arena and the reward was almost exactly the same as when I lost 3 in a row. I've received a bunch of Arcane dust (used to craft cards) some in game gold (50) and 1 card pack. It seems that you get atleast 1 card pack everytime no matter if you lose all 3 games so that in turn equals out the cost of entry in a way. To buy 1 card pack it cost $1.50, and entry to arena is $2 in which you always get 1 pack at the end, with the chance for more packs if you win games.

It does suck that for me the most fun part of the game is gated behind a cost price, but you can grind up the gold in game and avoid ever playing money in the game but it would be a long slow process to do so. If you get really good at the game and good at building decks you could pay the 1 fee and then win heaps of games which gives you mroe value for money but for me I lose all 3 lives pretty much straight away so paying to enter at this point could be expensive. Keep in mind your 3 lives last forever, so you can pay your $2 or 150IG, build your deck and then play some games, you win 5 in a row but then you lose your first game on the 6th round, you can stop playing arena and come back 5 hours or even 5 days later and start playing again with 2 lives left, it lasts until you lose all 3 lives you dont have to play all the games straight away.

Anyway enough babbling off to spend $50 on card packs and hopefully get a legendary.......

posted a message on Path of Exile lightyears ahead of D3??
The loot system is something I found at first I didnt really enjoy, but then once I really invested time into the game and understood the skill system and the passive tree and builds as a whole, it gave loot so much more feeling and drive.

Its a game that you really need to scratch under the surface to get into, its not an accessible game for the masses, this is made by hardcore guys for hardcore gamers.

And if you stick with it, learn it, you will love it.

posted a message on More stash space
I guess it was a given that we would eventually be given more stash space, but I think a screenshot off the main page confirms this.

There is now a chest next to the ID all station which currently is not in the game, along with the regular shared stash. Could this be just a graphic update or are we getting 2 chests to stash items similar to Torchlight 2 system where 1 for for that specific character and the other is a shared stash over all your characters.

    screenshot here:
