sure gaybox and ps3 had better hardware when they came out, but 8 core processors coming in q4 and the 100 series on the horizon, your MAC's that sit under your TVs will be holding people back (once again)
d3 on console == more anger by fans than the art direction has brought
but its bnet so no p2p, but I think d3 and sc2 will both be very soon so people are d3'd and sc2'd out by the time their next mmo comes out so they can hit 20mil subs this time
Some fans may be angry, but I bet you more Blizzard fans (who own consoles but not current PCs) would outnumber them. College students without nice computers but Xbox are a big market.
Also, go play games like GoW, Assassin's Creed, GTA4, CoD4... While most of them may be on the computer, they were initially designed for consoles and console controllers and play better. The Xbox is not even close to a piece of worthless hardware. The PS3 had the cheapest Blu Ray reader on the market for how many years? And the Wii, while I am not personally fond of it, has reached out to millions of older people and people who don't normally game and drawn them into the hobby.
The consoles are far from worthless, they better the industry. Furthermore, with the exception of perhaps WoW, console games sell way more than PC games do. If D3 is portable, then by all means, Blizzard should do it.
Honestly, it would not even effect the final outcome of the PC version if they did it, so angry fans would essentially just be angry fanbois.
Also, in the first post it mentions that one of the articles is unconfirmed does that mean that the other article about release on sept 09 is confirmed? or what.
all the bitches who are disappointed in the diablo art need to get over it... its gonna be sick and they have added new and improved aspects to the game... what moer could u want?
what i think is really funny is the fact that no blizzard game has ever released looking the same as a demo or the beta. NO GAME. every one of them isnt final until the final product is out. infact most of the time the betas look entirly different. and ya that funny thing is... when D3 IS released and it looks fucking AMAZING poeple will say, oh yea blizzard listens to its fan they changed the game becuase we wanted them to.... NO, they didnt
Agreed. Stop your bitching. Who reaaaaaaaaaally like the light radius anyways. OMG the 4 actual semi regions it mattered in it wont anymore. woopie do. Its not like EVERY QUEST OR SECTION OF THE GAME...dealt with light radius. I say..one less stupid skill on a weapon that opens up for something new....
hey MD, you havn't posted your D3 vs fallout 3 post as you did on blizzplanet yet
so I will talk about it here
that site is utter bs: fallout 3 IS turned base (something a good journalist would know)
and he is no better than the people signing petitions to add a grainy post processing to diablo 3
guess what, its 2008, not the 90's
games evolve, and obviously these fan boys haven't

Just picking a quibble here about COD4 on consoles.
I see your analog stick + aiming assist and raise you a mouse and keyboard. No matter how you slice it, a keyboard and mouse give you much more control than a game controller. Control feels more responsive and in my opinion your that much more immersed in the game because of it.
Arguably I've not played COD4 on a console, but I have played Halo on the Xbox 360 and the control sucked (for me) compared to keyboard + mouse control.

Read the interview with Mike Morhaime which links to an interview with Gabe Newell (Valve) for other perspectives in the 'sales' benchmark. Other than that I agree! IIRC there was a console port of Diablo 1 (for PlayStation, methinks) and the more people that can get in on the monster-bashing goodness (so long as there's no detriment to the development of the PC version) the better.

PS: Told you D3 wasn't an MMO.
And thank goodness for that! (I know you weren't talking to me there, but I thought I'd add my 0.2gp anyway).
