Don't underestimate Blizzard killing off lore characters in their MMOs.
I don't doubt they will kill people off (in fact in TBC you kill Kael about 30 times because blizzard refuses to make new characters)
I am just saying that if one side is 'good' (as in who you are in d1 and d2) then the other side must be 'bad' unless it is a ffa mmo where it is guild vs guild (I assume like aoc though I refuse to play a game modeled after the governator, and like Perfect World but w/o buying entire zones)
Since Wiki's are open-source, anyone in the world can edit them- add, remove, put their own bias and twist on the contents of them, which, since we all know the general public is a lot dumber and not nearly as well-informed (in regards to Diablo) as, oh say, a real reporter or an actual Blizzard representative. Hence, Wiki's are okay to get a report or something started, to get you on your way, but other than that they shouldn't be given more trust than that. It's just reference material. And that particular Wiki hasn't been updated recently, I don't think.
Case in point, mainly for those who think Wikipedia is the be-all, end-all for reliable information:
There was a day a couple of months ago (March 4th, to be exact, now that I've found the thread), on the entry for Richard Gere... some smartass had gone in and edited the info for Spouse(s); changing the 1991-1995 Cindy Crawford to 1991-1995 Gerbil.
Any clown can go in and fuck around with the info. It is NOT "the most amazing thing ever", for that fact alone.

That may be true, but Wikipedia is constantly updated, and vandalism is pretty easily caught.
Another 2005 study also showed Britannica and Wikipedia to be relative accurate to one another.
and who is to say that you can trust news media and books written by some guy named webster? maybe 2+2 actually does = 5 and Mr. Orwell tried to let us know the real truth
We should hold a fundraiser for the entire community, raise money, and send as many people as we can with the money generated. But not just any ordinary people - mods and admins and stuff.
Because if the invisible guy the president believes in isn't the real invisible guy then the real invisible guy gets mad and no longer powers our economy with his invisible hand. Jesus, have you never even read anything about economics?
Ok that is one person out of this entire website who thinks that there is no announcement of diablo III, anyone else? If there was no d3 announcement, then why would bliz be too concerned about grabbing all the diablo 3 related domains, why would they continue to include diablo in all newsletter statements, why? Such negativity...your wasting your time here, no one will listen to you, especially here.
I don't believe there will be a D3 announcement at WWI. Maybe Blizzcon, but not the WWI.
doubt diablo will be killable in WoD, 2 factions after all
unless you work for the lesser evils and you are off to find the prime evils so the lesser evils can then be prime
hmm the 2nd one sounds more fun
I think jumping to conclusions in this early stage is pointless. We don't know if the third Diablo game is going to be a MMORPG. Even if it is a MMORPG, we are not sure if it will be called World of Diablo. Blizz has acquired Diablo3.com, not WorldofDiablo.com. Even if it is a MMORPG, we don't know if there will be two factions. Blizz is famous for unexpected twists, so it would be wise to expect a huge twist in Diablo3.
Personally, I feel the WWI is a better place to annouce it. That way the BlizzCon tickets are sure to sell fast, and they'll have something to show there (other than WotLK and SC2... Again)
mesa, glendale gilbert, chandler, scottsdale, there all good...well if we r gonna meet up for this thing we should get our shit 2gether and figure some stuff out
How old are you? We can meet up somewhere and talk so we can organize this shit way before it happens. And I also don't want to get killed on my way there by a complete stranger.

there is no reason to announce it at blizzcon, blizzcon is for sitting down and discussing things, WWI is about pwning n00bs then in the last hour you show a trailer, people applaud, and then go whack off
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

Everyone who doesn't trust Wikipedia needs to read this study: http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20061127-8296.html

I believe seven years was also between HL and HL2.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

Then why would they schedule it on Diablo's anniversary?

so it is kind of new for them
like WoW and wc3 and etc were just "lol we are making games, buy them'
I kinda hope they announce it a little sooner so I can cancel my WAR preorder
My money is on WWI.
I said sc2 was the first actual announcement they made at an event
