you made sense. But can I ask you this: Whats the ES directory?
edit: Before, I had ALL my ES files saved under a file I made inside of the DiabloII folder, which is program files.
That's where all of my characters are saved, also.
But my main ES folder is located on my C:\ drive, within a COPY of my D2 folder.
C:\Diablo II\es300r
The Diablo II folder being a copy of my original D2 folder which resides within Program Files.
(The installation instructions for ES say that you need to create a copy of your D2 folder, in which to extract the ES .zip file... so I did that.)
However, my characters automatically get saved to:
C:\Program Files\Diablo II\es300r\save
I guess the ES program is hardwired to save to that folder, which it created on its own.
I don't remember how I stumbled across that.
I'm too retarded to offer any more... I don't know why my ES works the way it does.
Ok Anny, thanks, I think I got it weorkin' now, lol. So I have made two chars: A fire sorc who will be played with when Cherie is on, so we go through it all together. And then she will be mfing like crazy when she beats nm.
My next char is a paladin. I decided to not make a zealer, but rather try an auradin. I think it'll be fine, as I've never used one before. I just don't know how to setup the skills and auras and items. @___@
I mean, should I be wearing items that have __lvl conviction aura when equipped and then manually use holy shock and freeze (depending on the enemy) to kill them off? I think thats the best way. And I'll be leaning more towards holy shock. So I was thinking, max out holy shock, protection from lightning, Vengeance and salvation. And also wear +holy shock items, or should I wear __lvl holy shock aura when equipped items as well, like Golden Dragon? o.O'

Not sure how much help I was -- yesterday wasn't a great day for me (sorry I didn't respond last night -- massive headache).
But you're welcome!
Jeru -- I have a pair of crafted iron guards that have 9% CTC Lvl 15 Shock Armor when hit, and given how often I get hit, that little 9% seems more like 150% most times. Haha!
It does come in handy...
Question: In the sewers in Act 3 - level 1 - There is an "island" with a body on it, how do you get to it. It is not the "island" with the lever where you go down to the second level, but a separate rectangle "island".
I tried everything to get to that body and have failed. I even reset all my points to leap and leap attack and I just kept jumping over and around it, never landing on the "island" or the body. When I run my cursor over it, it gives it a name dead body, so I figured it must have some goodies on it since it is isolated and is titled (why would they label it dead body if there were nothing to get).
I have screenies that I will post later. (I came across this days ago and just forgot about it for a bit.)

I've encountered stuff like that -- in the sewers of Act III, and in one of the special areas in Act V (either Moonshine, Fake Note, or Poppy).
My encounter in Act III was with live monsters that were standing on a section of the floor that I could not reach; an "island" as you put it, only it was up against a wall.
In Act V, there was a group of monsters standing out on the lava -- my rogue and I could hit them, but we couldn't walk out to where they were. And when they died, their drops also stayed out there on the lava. There was a unique broad sword, and two piles of gold totaling over 11000gp. And I couldn't get to it. (argh!)
I believe it's a glitch. A fairly annoying one, at that.
If I may? Use Protection from Evil and fist of heavens/hammers. You will see.
Sorry, I'm not really interested in those skills right now. I want to have a Holy Shocker Auradin.
Only thing I don't know, should I wear equipment that sends conviction aura when equipped and put points into Holy Shock + syngeries, or should I wear equipment that automatically creates holy shock, and I put points into convic + synergies?
Nevermind, after writing this post, i think I figured out that conviction will be coming from items, and holy shock will be from my skill points. What broke the ice in the tie though was that conviction has no synergies, :D.
ANyways, now I just need to determine which equipment I'll be using. Only FOR SURE 100% thing I know now is the belt: Belt Of Zeus!
haha
edit: Oh! My merc is going to wear Work Of God weapon. Thing ios, I'll need a God kanji rune and a No rune. Those are gunna be the hard ones to get.

Ohh I never knew, thanks man! Although I'll have to check all runeword and unique boots/gloves first to see if there are better versions of them. But I doubt there are that do +2 all skills, 10-30% light skill damage. Er, I think thats what its mods were, lol.
So, anyone got a God and No rune? lol
edit: Swet, I'll have a "The Belt OF Zeus Boots" as well! Haha, thanks for the tip Blades! Oh, and for gloves too. Sweet! This auradin will be packing some punishment!
editx2: My weapon will be Agent Of the Light Celestial Scepter! +11 to Holy shock, +3 all skills, muahahahaha

I would be happy to play with you and Stormy tomorrow night! However I can only play if nothing is goin' down with a clan I'm a part of in another game. No offense guys, but they come first.
But if they're doin' nothin', then I'd be glad to play with you and Stormy. Just know that my farthest character (as of right now) is only lvl27 and has just made the Horadric staff in normal. If you're wondering why I'm a fairly high level for where I am, its because I went through all of actI in 3-4 player difficulty and all of actII (so far) with 8 player difficulty. Although it should be Easilty, not difficulty. =/

Well, my Amazon is in Act II Normal, Lvl 29. I have the Canyon WP.
Actually, lvl 27 is lower than I've been with any of my three chars at that point. I've picked up a habit of staying in Act II Normal until I'm close to 30. It does seem to make leveling in Act III a bit of a pain at the outset, but I'd rather hit a Boss with a little overkill than get my butt kicked.
We'll take tomorrow as it comes. No prob at all. I understand about the clan commitment.

And Anny, you serious? What player difficulty do you go as? And by the way, Duriel is EASY in this game if you went through it at 1 character difficulty.

And not surprisingly, this thread died as soon as D3 was announced.
Not for me however, I got the urge to play D2 again and decided to try ES what with all the activity here lately.
I've currently got a lvl 76 Spearzon using Jab, Lightning Strike and Shadow Strike, but by god my gear must suck. I have a hard time taking down Duriel with his backup, the dual Mephisto's with tamer, and all the mobs in The Worldstone chamber. And MooMoo farm and all special areas are also far from a cakewalk.
Assuming you had a speazon, what gear would you suggest I use? Runewords, Uniques, crafted, whatever. I'll get to upload some pics of my gear later for reference.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Yeah, I just played for the first time in over a week just yesterday.
I have never tried a spearzon, so I can't really help you. I did make a very successful bowzon that is working her way through act 1 hell. Her lvl is somewhere in the 70's, I have only started playing again as my Necro.

I have my Diablo II Eastern Sun directory on C:\
My regular, Diablo II: LoD directory is in C:\Program Files\
And my ES save file is located within an es300r folder within the Program FIles\Diablo II folder.
Your ACTUAL ES save file (the one ES looks at when you start an ES game) will default to your Diablo II folder that is stored within Program Files.
Am I making sense?
