so everyone knows in d2 the BEST build/class for farming was a hammerdin with enigma and a lite sorc with an infinity on her merc could also do just as good if not better. (please don't start saying "no i had bla bla in d2 and it was better then both") so what do you think will be the case in d3?
of course the wizard is usually the number 1 pic because she was the easiest in d2 and teleport, stop time, & all elements. but i disagree. in my opinion it will be the witch doctor, why? I'm crazy? because he will be the easiest class to solo farm (or just really help co op farm). now before you say he's like the necro and the necro was terrible at farming in d2, his pets are just a small part of him. so for farming inferno he rules because he will have fully powered (because no skill points) elemental spells like the wizard AND fully powered monsters as big meat shields that can also explode because you know how hard inferno monsters will hit you'll definitely need them. and of course he can confuse the inferno monsters and make them attack each other and flee which CC will be a MUST in inferno, especially starting out.
let me know your opinions of the best / most powerful build in d3 (check out their skills on the threads above if you need to first)

I agree, the WD will be a great universal character for inferno.
I don't think there will such a thing like "most powerful class" If we know Blizzard they will try to balance the game so each class has 50/50/50/50 power.
It's not about the class it's about the player behind him.
regardless of player ability, if you took the worlds best player and cloned him a million times and he used every class and every build, there would be ones that stood out as a lot easier and more effective for him to move through inferno then others, its literally impossible to balance the game with how many thousands of variables there are to where all the classes are completely equal. honestly. each class will be powerful yes, but theres always a class/build that will rear its sexy head and then lots of people will use it lol. but i agree that with the thousands of variables there will be definitely more then just a few super sweet builds to sweep through inferno

Gonna say Monk and Barbarian for their survivability. Survivability > escapability imo, but different strokes for different folks I guess.
true but the fact that inferno monsters will hit SOOO insanely hard, no one has "survivability" in inferno, everyone gets 1-4 shotted so kiting and CC is the only way to go baby, wooo aaaaaa. lol. maybe not that insanely hard but i think honestly without really awesome gear everyone will basically be made of jello in inferno,
Since there's no possible way to accurately predict this, I vote for Lethal Decoy Monk. Prove me wrong.
Plus that just sounds like a fun spell
Edit* And lethal decoy will be perfect for Hell/Inferno, since it attracts enemies away from your squishy self! If you can get the CD down to maybe 2-3 seconds on that skill then I would totally specialize in it as much as possible.
Probably need lots of spirit income though. Probably golden-runed sweeping wind or something, and a dash move to run awayyyyy...

oooOoOo that sounds sexy, whats it do? and what other skills would you use
i honestly think if you gear for it in hell all classes wont be 1-4 shotted. But i really agree with the witch doctor being able to make them fight eachother cause if they hit that hard and there hitting eachother while your pets and you also dmg them and explode on them can make for some nice AE clearing. IM also gonna go with the demon hunter myself because they have the ability to get away from mobs quickly without being hit and snare the crap out of them while dmg'n them. Mob can 1 shot me but if it can never get in striking range its screwed. Demon Hunter also has alot of AE attacks and isnt limited by mana if Demon Hunter runs out of there "mana" they can still pump dmg with double cross bows while the mobs still snared. And this is also not figureing what rune combinations will enhance the DH's skills or the WD's or any other class for that matter. I for one am going to use them all will prolly start with a barb or a DH. Witch Doctors urk me :/.

why do they urk you? I'm definitely picking WD first, then maybe DH second.
I think it's going to be pretty equal for the most part. With the runes it allows you to take a lot of spells and make them more powerful or defensive. I think one of the main things Blizzard wants to do is make each class equal so there isn't the one very powerful class.
... and to say something productive, my guess would be that the classes are almost equal. If that is not the case Blizzard will patch it. I know there is always a best skill combination/class but it will be patched, if you played WoW you know that the best pve class allways changed
not to be rude but comparing the patching to wow is completely illogical. because in diablo 2 the best classes were never patched, ever. yes i know this is a new game and everything, but the ONLY reason they patch wow is because people QQ about DPS and about PVP, thats it. there is no "dps" in diablo and there is no ranked pvp, and they've said many times they will NOT balance it for pvp, so its going to be flawed, guaranteed. too many millions of variables to make it equal.

My thoughts too. And to the OP, we don't know much about Inferno yet so you wouldn't know if CC is vital. We can only speculate. But I'm sure you must specialize your character in some way to cope with higher difficulties, i.e. you can't both be elemental and summon based as a WD because your passives will have to support your active skills.
blizz has portrayed the whole point of the WD is to utilize BOTH the elements and the summons at the same time, saying that you can't be both in inferno defeats the whole purpose of the WD mechanics and how he was created, read the passives, they have some vital ones for summons, but the ones for his elemental or zombie dmg isn't such an insane boost that its a MUST need to be effective at all. and are you kidding about the CC? lol, the fact that you can fear them AND make them confused and attack each other will be INSANELY effective ESPECIALLY in inferno. . not trying to flame you but really think about how the WD is made and read the passives it'll help. i thought the same thing before i read the skills and watched all the gameplay videos of the WD

no hammerdin in d3 buddy, lol
I stand by my statement.
