Is anybody else just ecstatic about the amount 'drop and add' BS that goes hand in hand with this game? I'm all for waiting for a game to be perfect before its released, but this is getting ridiculous. I just about lost it when i heard they dropped the skill tree and replaced it with "more of a skill path".. OK A, that sounds stupid, and B, wtf was wrong with the tree system? Why waste all this time changing things that everybody was happy and familiar with? Give us info we wanna hear (PVP anyone?). why not just finish the game already? If there's something that doesn't fit, it can be change after. at least give us a release date... Anywho, my frustrations out. All i'm saying is there setting up some BIG shoes to fill, hope they follow through..
Thoughts?
Edit:
I'm not complaining about the good fixes obviously (or not so obviosly for some). simply that i'm just confused about why change things that were original or things that everybody liked..
They're trying to provide a NEW gaming experience not a recoloured Diablo 2.
They haven't announced the new system yet so there is no point crying about wether its going to be better or worse, time will tell.
What good will giving you a release date do anyway its already confirmed atleast 2011 thats a year away minimum. what good would knowing its the 27th of March 2011, you still have to wait reguardless.
Just Breath. We have waited this many years so whats another year or two? Honestly i've been looking forward to this game and don't want ne flaws. Blizz plz take your time and make it right like your doing. The worst thing they could do is pop out a game that has been rushed towards the end. To me theres no time limit on perfecting a game the best you can.
You know they changed the skill system from Diablo 1 wich was a GREAT hit, to diablo 2 wich was a even bigger hit...
Some changes come to good, relax and enjoy the ride, if you dont like when you play it, just quit.
A lot of diablo 1 players didnt liked diablo 2, however diablo 2 brought even more thousands of new players.
Also changes like this wont delay anything, the art guys already done a lot of artwork to skill systems, and the skills werent balanced yet, so theres no job throwed out. Its just part of the process
They don't owe the community anything and yet they are kind enough to give us updates once in a while.
You just have to live with it until they release the final product, which I'm sure is going to kick ass!
Funny how you pick abstinence problems out of thin air lol. You don't have to reflect your own anger from bad decisions on me to make yourself feel better. Its ok btw, its a choice every young god loving boy has to make, i understand, nobodies blaming you. Choosing whether to dissapoint your boyfriend or your creator is a hard decision. Oblviously not for straight atheists such as my self but i can try and see where your coming from..
You're the one who's pissed and picking a fight, really
This troll has had enough food now. Reporting your reply.
report this one too while your at it (for convenience of coarse)
I really hope i'm not a total D-bag when i'm 21. Hows it feel to get shit kicked by a 16 year old lol, good day to you sir.
They actually don't have anything concrete on pvp at the moment. I can't blame them, the main singleplayer/multiplayer core game isn't even finished, only half the monsters have been done and modelled. The character skills are not in place...even the skill system isn't even halfway there! Forget pvp bro... it ain't gonna happen. For now that is
i played D1 for years and when D2 came out i even had to get used to running, the first thing i thought was: "why is my sorc walking so fast!" then when i played D1 again i thought "why is my rogue walking so slow!"... so some changes may seem akward at first, but after u get used to it u'll love them...
I certainly hope it is too late to make a poll; I think you would find that most people think you're hitting the big red panic button without any good reason to do so.
Gameplay is the most important thing to Blizzard, and it is important to consider two things:
1) Diablo 3 is, for all intents and purposes, incredibly different from Diablo 2; and
2) If the previous aspects of gameplay do not gel with the new game (e.g., Skill Trees) then they must be changed.
I think you're reading into it too much. Especially since we really don't know what they have in mind.
Man. What I would give for the days of game development before developer/player interaction and social media came to be...

"reading to much into it"?? bud, the only point to this was to see how many people are on the same page as me. not panicking at all. this comment is pointless, you're not telling me anything a don't already know. some people, sheesh..
I don't know why when i read ur post, i started thinking abt the D2 patch and Galadriel voice from LOTR jumped in my mind
'History became legend. Legend became myth. And for 2 and half thousand years...'
Ah well...watever... forget what i said...Am just losing it...
Hey, you wanna panic more ? There will be NO UNIQUE ITEMS ( Legendary are replacing)!!!
And the pvp system is 80% chance of changing also !!! As the trade system...
Guess what : "OMG its a new game not an expansion !!!"

and new system and all inovation can't be worse ! they test all and it's why they change the game often.

Until I see the idea they're going with I reserve my opinion.
I'm happy they're taking their time, but yes I am anxious to get to playing.

They did. They're neutering pk and adding in boring guild wars style arenas.
Thanks blizzard, your adding 50 dollars to my retirement account that otherwise would have been spent on this game:)
Where did you read that? I must have completely missed it. Last I heard they haven't worked on PvP at all.
They did not say they are adding arenas. That was an idea being tossed around by the community.
Battle not with monsters lest you become one.
