I agree. I loved being able to transfer items with all my characters.
Yes, or having the option to trade for that really rare unique.

Well In one of the vid interviews they did say that bop and boe items wouldnt work in this game becuase its not an mmo. So I dont think you have anything to worry about.
Can someone explain to a simpleton such as myself what BoP and BoE stand for?
Bind on Pickup and Bind on Equip.
Basically makes shit non-trade.

Yea not sure I understand either - so when you say, "bind," does that mean it must stay on your character alone and forever?
Either way - I don't like it.
Yes. Binding to you means you can't trade it.

Yeah. There's no reason to implement BoP or BoE. In WoW it is understandable to have this system because the level in the game you are at is supposed to be represented by loot in end-game situations. If you could trade the loot from raids, everyone would have high tier loot, and this would defeat the purpose of raiding, and because we all know WoW has no PvP, this would kill the game.

Why can't a heterosexual guy tell a heterosexual guy that he thinks his booty is fly?
I agree. Please no BoP or BoE, Blizzard. I have had this in the back of my mind since the announcement of D3.
It is one reason I did not like world of warcraft. Besides the fact there is hardly any loot satisfaction in world of warcraft from general mobs. Unless you like claws, snouts and livers.

I'm fairly certain they are going to employ a Guild Wars loot system.
From the way it was talked about, only the person that loot drops for will be able to see it lit up. And this is exactly like Guild Wars.
Not to mention Guild Wars was craeted by NCSoft.... which was Blizzard North...
Yeah, but didnt they say they would make random loots to everybody in the group? So if you think the same way i do, which means you bring your friends with you (lets say 2), you get twice more items, which is OVERPOWERED...
Edit: that means you would get geared 3x more faster than before.
Well the way blizz as stated that loot works - Note they have kept this pretty very sketchy for now - But what little they have said is it works like this
1) You and your friends kill boss
2) Loot drops randomly
3) The loot you see if yours - makes it more fair and will stop pick up mods
4) You tell your friends what you got and see if anyone needs it or you can mule it
4a) You keep it becuase no one your playing with is friends and you save it for a latter char

To clarrify one thing quickly with the Guild Wars system, everyone can see the item, but it is labeled as "Reserved for stueyman2099". No one else can touch it, but after a set ammount of time (couple minutes) the reserved tag is removed, and anyone may pick it up. Not nessecarily feasable with how many item drops we're likely to see in D3 compared to GW though.
On topic, I feel that there should be some system to remove high end items from the trading market, likely through making them "soulbound" (guild wars used the term customized) and to give palyers some sort of bonus.
Possible example:
Sword of Awesome
Damage: 15-25
+25% damage
+5-15 awesome damage
+10% increased attack speed
+10% damage (soulbound/customized/insert term here only)
The idea here is to give incentive to remove this item from the economy to keep it from flooding the market and keep rare items rare. Notice that the "soulbound" bonus isn't as good as the bonuses the sword already has, making it still reasonable to use even if you choose not to "soulbind" the item, but still very worth while to people who want to max their character. A vendor could perform this service for you to your items for a gold cost based on the items ilvl. This helps keep the gold economy in tact as well as the item economy.

i think boe would be great, but bop doesn't make sense. bind on equip or even mabe a bind on equip(all characters on that account) .. i just dont want to see to an item currency, but gold/money system.
I'm starting to think Blizzard will do to D3 what Bethesda is doing to Fallout 3...
