man, 35-40k hp, 6-7k armor depending on passives, 8-10k dps, 250-400 all resist including arcane and phys right now and I'm STILL getting owned. I literally try new builds every bosses, but god I just keep dying. I am having hard time in Act 1, its mostly some minibosses that has crazy stats for me, having hard time tryign to find general build for inferno.
this is what I'm running currently (replaced battle rage with leap in there becusae I kept dying to wallers)
I have sword/board atm, but I do have 2 hander (1200 weap dmg) and another decent 1 hand (all over 700-800 weap dmg).
I was able to solo/carry ppl in hell with no problem, what od you guys think I'm doing wrong in inferno? I know there is clearly something I'm doing wrong, just can't seem to figure out.. Wouldn't mind how some of you prioritize your item stats as well!
Oh, at last the reply I've been waiting for. Thank you man.
I have similar stats(45k hp, same armor and a bit more damage), but my resistances are around 100 lower. Well, I'll try to get more resistances and gear up my enchantress, and then post if it helped me.

Yea resistance really helped me, I'm around 600 all resist now, same armor and lower hp but I don't die in act 1 inferno anymore, time to adventure through act 2 now..
Got to Act 3, ~60k hp, sword'n'board, all res 500+ with shout (phys is almost 700, fire and arcane around 600), 8k armor (75% reduction), full tank/healing spec (all armor/res/healing abilities you can put there).
Mobs hit me like a truck, worse than Azmodan melee attacks, wonder what to do next...
Just managed to get a half decent clear of the first part of act II today. I've never played anything but solo barb. While I agree with you guys that the game is heavily biased against melee I think the tuning difficulty is'nt actually too far off. I've got optimium rare lvl60 act I gear in about 90% slots and I can now *just* clear act II. It seems that they have the tuning set exactly right for barb. In that you need 90% of the current act gear in every slot to take on the next act. The problem is that kiting as ranged means you don't have to have that almost perfect gear if you never get hit by anything.
Biggest advice I can give other barbs trying to solo at the moment is to stop stacking vit. This isn't wow and we don't need huge health pools to suck up massive burst so our healers can keep us up. You need to mitigate incoming damage and spread out your mit through equal amounts of armor/resist all/dodge as to make the best of the curve. Also, make sure your using the enchantress, shes by far the best follower imo. Armor buff is huge and her occasional CC is life saving. That and mine does about 2.5k dps.
Current progression is just past Skeleton King, and so far it's been a breeze although I reckon it'll become much harder. Thing is, I've gotten a bit burned out on my lvl 60 monk so I'm barely touching it right now.. Instead I'm having fun on my lowbie wizard, barb & DH. I'll get there eventually!

Yea, the build is working fine. Enchantress is helping a lot, but I still had to skip some elite packs(those pesky green flies with tp/fast/firechains affixes for instance). When I get decent weapon with 500~ lifesteal and 750+ dps and up my resists to 70%-75% I think act 2 will be a walk in the park.
My mistake was that I did not use leap and enchantress. Leap helps to get away from plagues, walls and arcane beams, and the girl's mass hex often saves ass.
I'm at the start of act 2 inferno. I can solo all of act 1 with ease, and so far haven't met a champion pack that I couldn't kill (even with a couple deaths =P ). Act hits me so much harder lol, in act 1 I would get 2 shot, but in act 2 it's 1 and done, every time, so I have to play even smarter. It's fun though =P
Edit; I'm using a 700 dps bow w/ quiver, 1632 dex, 32,000 dps (with sharpshooter up, about 17k w/o ) 2500 armor. Only 13.5k hp though, so I can't let anything ever touch me lol.
I was on the second floor of the crystal spire when blizzard started yet another maintenance. When it comes back, Diablo will go down.
Infernal has been pretty hard, and i'm having a lot of fun.
