I've got 45k total kills, only 1 legendary from a normal mob. I believe about 1.2k of the total kills are elite. I've got friends with less kills with more legendary drops and friends with more kills and no legendary drops.
Everything up until Inferno was quite easy, the only thing to look out for in Hell was elites with a very specific set of affixes, but even they were doable. I'm a bit disappointed in the difficulties as I'd have to say NM & Hell in d2 was a bit more of a challenge than in D3, but I guess they made up for it with Inferno! If you run with a 1h + shield and stack Vit, you'll breeze right through. I think I died a total amount of 13-15 times until Inferno.
Current progression is just past Skeleton King, and so far it's been a breeze although I reckon it'll become much harder. Thing is, I've gotten a bit burned out on my lvl 60 monk so I'm barely touching it right now.. Instead I'm having fun on my lowbie wizard, barb & DH. I'll get there eventually!
