Diablo III – Coming September 3 to Xbox 360 & PS3
As it has been hinted previously, Diablo 3 is also coming out for the Xbox 360. And both versions are releasing on September 3!
On September 3, evil will be reborn on console systems throughout the world with the release of Diablo® III on the PlayStation™ 3 and Xbox 360® games and entertainment system from Microsoft. That's right, Diablo III will be unleashing hell on both Xbox 360 and PS3™ before summer's end, so lock in your preorders with your local retailer soon.
As an added bonus, all preorders of the Xbox 360 and PS3™ versions of Diablo III will include the exclusive Infernal Helm (in-game item only. . .though we have to admit it'd look pretty sharp IRL). Wearable at level 1, the Infernal Helm confers a +EXP bonus to help you whip your new PlayStation™ or Xbox® characters into shape. Plus, it looks sweet as hell on all five mortal heroes of Sanctuary—be it the Witch Doctor, Barbarian, Wizard, Demon Hunter, or Monk. Keep in mind that the redeemable key for the Infernal Helm, which you will find in your preordered console copy of Diablo III on launch day, requires an Internet connection to be redeemed and cannot be transferred across platforms.
Be sure to get your preorder lined up for the PS3™ or Xbox 360 versions of the game and prepare your thumbs to do battle against the sinister forces of the Burning Hells.
Please note that as the Xbox 360 version of Diablo III was announced today, it may take retailers several days to set up their product pages for this new version of the game. Be sure to check back if you don’t see Diablo III for Xbox 360 listed on retailers' websites.
Diablo III Confirmed to Raise Hell at This Year’s E3
After confirming Comic-Con Blizzard has announced that they're also going to E3! That hasn't happened in some time.
The Lord of Terror is at it again! Attendees of this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 11-13, will be the first to try the multiplayer experience of Diablo III on PS3™ and Xbox 360. Brave E3-bound souls ready to battle the hordes of the Burning Hells can head over to the following booths to experience the fight first-hand (and be sure to bring a few of your buddies):
Activision Blizzard -- #647, South Hall
Microsoft -- # 4030/4100, West Hall
Sony Entertainment -- #4522, West Hall
For the legions of heroes who aren't going to E3 in person, we'll be sharing live streams, posting photos, and providing updates about all the latest Diablo III news coming out of the show floor here at diablo3.com as well as on our official Facebook and Twitter channels. Be sure to check back during the event to find out more about multiplayer, as well as additional information about Diablo III for the PS3™ and Xbox 360!
Awesome. Can't wait to play D3 with my friends who still haven't played it at all cuz of work / studies... Nothing like a friday night drinking beer and playing D3 with your friends. Ps3 ftw.

Does this mean we can expect some non-console related news as well?
I wonder if they added anything new to the D3 console demo ever since PAX, i also wonder since loot is shared and the main focus is on local coop for D3 console if this means there will be no other forms of multiplayer other than local multiplayer (i.e. no lan or online matchmaking for D3 console.)
There is also possible but highly unlikely chance for the announcement of the D3 expansion, I expect it for Blizzcon 2013 in Nov, but who knows, definitely not gonna hold my breath on it though.
Good to see a release date, sad that is coming to XBox as well. As a PS3 guy, and a blizzard guy, I felt good to see that my fav game developer and console were working together in a partnership for something special. Not trying to hate on XBOX, but it would have really helped having Diablo as one of the starter titles exclusive to PS4 when it comes out.

This is a business, and with a business they are looking for the opportunity for more sales. So mainstream talk will be about the console versions since its fresh, and has toe potential for more incoming sales. Most of the people that would have bought the PC version now have already done so, with that said, now its time to focus on the majority that don't have PC's or the couch co-op audience as you see that is there biggest selling point that is being pushed.
Good Angle, these guys don't make the sells they make because they are dumb.

I for one am glad it's coming to Xbox because I wouldn't be able to get it for console otherwise since I don't own a Ps3. Glad I don't have to save up for a Ps3 now just to play D3 on console it'll be here for my Xbox

What i want to know is since the game is coming to PS3 and PS4, PS4 will/should have significant graphical improvments and since the ps3 version already looks to be on par with the pc version...if any major graphical enhancments are made for ps4, will they be ported over to the PC as an 'ultra' setting for those who could run it? if PS4 doesn't have any major graphical enhancments over the ps3 version, why bother with a ps4 version at all?

Because a lot of people will buy PS4 and will want to have games run on it.
I kind of expected that Blizzard would do something similar to how Valve did with Portal 2 where you can integrate Bnet with your PSN account or something. But hey, if it means getting offline play, I'd be happy with it myself.
