Blizzard has just released their seventeenth batch of screenshots (see here if you missed the sixteenth) for hitting the 950k 'Like' mark. Once again, we've got the high resolution versions at our disposal here on DiabloFans. This time around, we got five images!
The first image is a few concept drawings of the Male Barbarian.
The second image is a concept drawing of the Female Barbarian, in Heavy armory.
The third image is a concept drawing of a Spectral Warrior. We currently have no information on the Spectral Warrior, though some speculation makes it to be the Warrior from Diablo I. If you remember, we killed the Warrior (Diablo) in D2. Sure, Diablo still lives somehow, but the shell that he took over (the Warrior) would now be dead.
The fourth image is a concept drawings of some Caves, over what could potentially be the Stinging Winds area in Act II.
The fifth image is a screenshot of some 2v2 PvP action, between two teams made up of one Barbarian and one Wizard each. The red Barbarian appears to be usingLeap Attack, while the blue Barbarian is using either Sprint, as you can see from the side effects (tornado-like things) on the sides.
Click the images to bask in the glory of the high resolution versions that you likely won't see anywhere else! 25,000 more likes to go until the 975k mark where we can get some more images, and 2 more milestones until we hit the 1 million 'Like' goal. I love the look that the artwork continually seems to be going for. I know some have complained of a "cartooney" type feel of the artwork/graphics of the game - but I think its working its way to a distinct look that should be pleasing to the players.
Artwork on the Spectral Warrior is amazing - clean and to the point.
Is it just me or does the last in-game image look way better than anything we've seen previously, graphic-wise? The detail is crazy
I agree with you. I have a feeling that most of the screen caps we've seen thus far have been at the lowest graphic settings possible. Some of the gameplay footage looks really enhanced, but there are some missing elements that although subtle, make a huge difference in feel. Count in that there are obviously some placeholder stuff in there and I think its safe to say that these are not near the final look you'll get with a good system and full graphics.
Very nice loot here! Hopefully the 100k mark will release as cool of stuff as this. The female barb is kinda growing on me. Will still use male barb first due to the lore attached from D2.
Again, really liking what I'm seeing here.
Also, really digging the sword that the female barb is holding in the concept art. The more I look at this stuff, the more I see. The more I see, the more I like it.
Man, they sure are pushing the axes for the barb. Wonder if that's what we should be expecting for the barb? Hopefully the two-handed maces will be just as viable.
I'm wondering why they bothered adding the two Barbarian ones, since they've been on diablo3.com since announcement.
The other stuff is pretty sweet though
The artwork you mentioned will eventually be posted in facebook and you'll be surprise that a lot of peeps haven't seen it yet. Not all 10million players that will buy diablo 3 follows the game like we do =D
edit: I forgot to mention how awesome these batch of artwork is. Made me want to roll a barbarian.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
It's not a very good facebook reward though if it's already on their website, even if some of those people hadn't seen it yet.
And three of those Barbarian concept pieces in the first group-piece are on the D3 site, both on the Barbarian main page and in the concept section (though one has a slightly modified helmet). The left-most one has appeared in several places (and I believe in the art trailer released in 2008), though I don't see it on the site.
I may have been mistaken about the second one, it is very similar to some others I have seen.
It's not that I want to make a big deal out of it. It's just that I look forward to these image releases because Blizzard never give us any damn information, and I am sad to see recycled material in them

Cool update! Only 50k more to go.
edit: I don't even know if it's from whirl wind, I see it appear when the barbs starting sprinting.
It's a Wizard spell
I don't see any graphical difference, but I'm glad you guys are happy.
