I wanted to take some time to introduce myself. I have never actually registered for a Diablo board before, and I didn't get very seriously into Diablo or Diablo II past having a few characters made from some guides. Recently though I've gotten very into Diablo II after playing with some friends over Hamachi (we're spread out over NA, Europe, etc) so I thought I'd take the time to get invested in this community. I will take the time to read through all of the stickies and information so you do not have to worry about me asking a question clearly covered in a sticky.

Well, it depends who I play with. I typically just play Lord of Destruction, but some of my friends are really into Eastern Sun so I play that as well.
I might try to play with you guys at some point, but I have the version the guys from Something Awful use, so I have a feeling that they won't work together. They altered Eastern Sun to set up a b.net server, and playing over LAN breaks the Horadric cube...
