It's Not Video Games that cause Violence, It's A Combo of Video Games, Tv , And Parents/Peers/other influences that cause Violence, it's stupid to blame it on one thing
I say it's a combo of everything you experience everyday of your life, and combinations where the family, upbrigning and environment are happy can probably still spawn murderers. The chances would be much smaller though, but not impossible. Or so I think of it.

Video Games do increase physiological arousal; and decrease prosocial behavior. No offense but look at this forum. 75% of it is everyone Role Playing pretending they have taverns, pretending they are ninjas with big scimitar blades. You can't ignore the large influence games have on a persons behavior and personality.
Of course not. But whether or not video games influence you in a manner where you fail to separete between the real world and the fictional worlds is what is of real concern. Playing ninja is fun you know, so long as you don't believe you actually can jump down three stories while throwing swords and kicking wildly about you and still survive.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

perhaps is just psychological reasons.... combonation of how they were raised, surroundings, ect..... could it possibly dull their senses towards violence? maybe a little. but idk about u guys but i can play a violent game that doesnt mean it wouldnt bother me to see someone dead lying in the street

He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.

At the same time you cannot categorize all human beings as influencial fools. While some take the violence they see throughout their video games into their extreme areas, such as using the same violence in real life, others might take it on a positive side. I, for instance, play extremely violent games mostly when I'm angry or infuriated, and it releases some of my pressure, I actually leave the game more relaxed, calm in mind, and rational.
I might be one of the fewer who experience this in that way, but seeing violence in video games can discourage me from using any sort of violence in real life, after seeing what any sort of violence can lead to while playing my video games (even swearing distastes me sometimes).

i think vioence is good so if video games cause that, wicked! Of coarse ik that violence is caused by ppl that dont get laid (they go crazy) and over gang territory (for dealing various drugs), and that this topic is used by the news to distract from the real "problems", the fact that drugs should be legal(no more gangland) and so should prostitution (no more crazy people):D
it would be is if there was a verb before playing but there isnt
for example "Playing video games is a learning experience"
It would be as if there were a ver before 'playing' but there isn't.
And no.. there's no such grammar rule as the "understood verb" like there is the "understood you" in imperative sentences.(it's either imperative or interogative but I hate my english class which ever one is the command lmao)
Alright...lets not get into a debate whether Maverek's grammar was right or not.
Back on topic: I wouldn't know whether or not video games contribute to teen violence. I guess the variable that is preventing me from making a choice is...How the kids were raised.
If the kids were already exposed to violence and gore and such (aka movies allowed from parents) then my answer would be no. Since they are already exposed to violence, then video games cannot contribute to it since they are already exposed.
If kids were raised right and they kept their innocience, then yes, video games would be the most like reason to violence. Then you would have to think whether kids would react to the violence in everyday life or not.

Video games are only a scapegoat. Anyone with a brain knows that it's not real. If you blame your behavior on a game then all it means is they have no self control OR there parents have no control over them. People always have to blame something.
Drugs can kill people overdose, or just too much exposed use, also they make people do idiotic and violent things. Prostitution probably wouldn't cause much of a problem its just the whole sex slave thing. People cant control how much they use because how much drugs they use because they use the drugs Once your high your your judgment is screwed up so hell why not use more you might think, and once your not high its called and addiction, which is feling like crap until you take that drug again.Actually prostitution is often related to drug use, but then again it is a different topic, drugs got into this though because of the "causes teen violence aspect of this thread. Let see, then why do people go into prostition if it isnt for drug debts.
There I put all my posts now, now do some research, before you put in false facts
Overdose is too much use. And what I was saying was.. the people who can't control how much they use are killed by the drugs. I don't condone the use of drugs at all but it's just like guns. Guns dont kill people.. idiots with guns kill people.
People cant control how much they use because how much drugs they use because they use the drugs.
I'm assuming what you're trying to say is "People can't control how much they use because they used the drugs." Which still doesn't make sense. Once you're high you don't use more until you sober up. When you're sober you have control over how much you use. Again you're making an uneducated statement.
Once your high your your judgment is screwed up so hell why not use more you might think, and once your not high its called and addiction, which is feling like crap until you take that drug again.
