I was randomly thinking about UFO's and how they would work if they exit...( i don't know...)
But anyways, from what I've heard, it is common for people to say that they have no trouble achieving amazing speeds and epic maneuvers with there disks. But i realized that if we conquered gravity, I think we would be in the same position as them( the ufo people... lol ).
Is anyone here familiar with this kind of subject? Im assuming there is because with the talk of time travel. Any experiments?

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able, and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God. -Epicurus-Athiests- Winning since 33 A.D
Okay well... first off, lets change this whole UFO terminology.. U-F-O, or unidentified flying object, is anything in the sky that we are unable to identify.. it could be a missile, a falling person, or even a pig humping a sheep in the air. So u see, we should refer, from now on, to the type of UFO that u are talking about as a "flying saucer", for lack of a cooler word. (lol)
Now for ur question... I do not believe that when people see flying saucers in our sky that there are alien visitors piloting these ships. Now i have never seen a flying saucer so my opinion may be biased; however, in general i think that these UFO and flying saucer sitings are mostly: delusions, possibly military testing, hoaxes, and object confusion.
I am relatively a nub at physics when it comes to equations and theories of this magnitude where we are attempting to make an object counter gravity, but i think that electromagnets may have something to do with the future of flying crafts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_saucers this may answer a few questions u have.

But being such an expert on UFO's yourself, I thought you would know that most people accept UFO as a term for flying saucers.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Assuming that Gravitons exist, if we could find a way to manipulate those we would be set.
Well like any scientific advancement it would first be developed as a weapon and despite its valuable run off uses, I don't think we're ready for gravity bombs... The idea reminds me of when Tetsuo crushes the guards in the hallway into a tiny sphere... so disgusting...
I find it funny how we're not even sure if gravitons exist or not. I'm not saying that materialism is wrong, but no wonder most scientists are materialists, if they can't explain something, they come up with a theoretical particle to fill the niche of the phenomenon :P.
The closest thing we have to 'artificial gravity' is using centripetal force to mimic gravitational forces on the inside of a spinning tube outside of any other strong gravitational fields. Not exactly what you had in mind, but its very practical for a space station.

A German experiment speculated to be research into anti-gravity. I think most of the documents were destroyed. Theres also a wiki page on anti-gravity
I think at one point the Germans and Americans have had some funky looking saucer shaped designs... Maybe they weren't as good as they looked?
P.S - I also think it would be used for military purposes first. Then it would be used for aviation, lifting objects into space, and also lifting heavy objects for construction
Gravity gun anyone?
Anti-gravity as in just hovering might certainly work, I think the US has dabbled in it bu eventually it turned out the craft couldn't manouver well enough with the technology they had. Now today it might be possible, but if so it'd probably be a secret project, and we'd know nothing about it.

Now TRUE anti-gravity, which actually manipulates how particles are affected by gravity, would require some serious science that we do not yet possess. Perhaps fidning the Higgs Boson at Cern could be a first step however, I don't know.

It's too bad the LHC broke down:( We could have the secrets of the universe by now. Isn't it insane that we're capable of understanding this stuff? Physics rekindles my faith in humanity.

It's just a *slight* delay of about a year though
And even then, well it would have been a long way from applied science.

Yeah that's true. I'm just excited to see what kind of stuff we'll uncover. Every time we think we have everything figured out, God throws us a curve ball.

Sorry, can you show me where I said I was an expert or implied it? However, judging by your response on this topic, I know more, or at least have better developed opinions than you.
And judging by the fact that your 14... You should probably just stick to simpler topics as you are still learning your multiplication tables, and your balls have not yet dropped.
