So I have been wondering about this for a while but never really cared to mention it until now.
Does anyone think PvP is only going to see a few playable characters? I'm not talking about builds but the character itself like Wiz/WD. It seems the majority of characters have some sort of "teleport" like ability! Barb has Leap Attack and Ancient Spear; Monk has his Dashing Strike; and the DH has vault.
This leaves the Wiz and WD with a sub-par retreat or approach ability! I am worried that these two characters wont see as much PvP use because monk/barb/dh could just pressure them non stop and they wouldn't be able to do much to get away to the range they need.

All classes have at least one mobility skill. The only advanatge of the barbarian, monk and DH is the fact they have more then one. It's just more option, not a "direct" advantage.

Just curious if anyone else thinks this way
i think tele and spirit walk are the two best mobility skills in the game, they can tele far out of range from barbs leap attack and monks dash, they are built for long range and that sets them up for a wide variety of bursting skills.. check out the pvp vids that came out couple months ago, wiz were sooooooo tanky because of there ice armor/diamond skin, and were able to get in close enough for disintegrate. and WD spirit walked and were able to hex you and ultimately change the game with that skill as well as poison dart(unreal damage) so i think WD and Wiz can definitely hold their own in pvp

Dashing Strike has a 1 sec cooldown LOL no toon in the game can get away from him. Barb has Leap Attack/Sprint/Ancient Spear/ Furious Charge.
Wiz has Diamond skin which is 3 seconds... Not very long at all! WD has spirit walk that lasts 2 secs and has a cooldown as well...
I don't mind though they need to be balanced as well right> And I'll still be running a Wiz in PvP even if Monk and Barb can keep up the pressure always and forever!
I think the Wizard will be great in PvP. The only class I would be concerned about it the WD, but from this years Blizzcon reactions, a lot of people said the WD was actually really good.
I haven't been keeping up to date lately, but I'm wondering if barb is still massively overpowered in PvP? Also, Blizz said back then that his overpowered..ness wasn't something they weren't interested in balancing. Does this still go?
To get back on topic.. I wouldn't be too worried about classes being undesirable in PvP. Even if they are weak compared to others, people are always gonna wanna go for the underdog, 'cause it's just more awesome to pwn noobs with a character that isn't in favour.
Since when was Barbarians overpowered in PvP? Not sure what you are referring to.
They have said that PvP balance will not be a huge focus. Of course they will try their best to make it as balanced as possible so that everyone can have fun in the arena, but making it "e-sports"-balanced is not something they are going for.

lol leap attack is good but one tele you can get away one dash you can get away, spear is soo flawed lmaoo, you can miss with 5 spear ruin(Grappling Hooks, Indigo), and you cant get WD in spirit walk, you cant get DH in smoke screen or vault, monk can dash through it and Wiz can tele, sprint is the only one that we havent seen yet, you cant pull people over the small barriers in PvP with spear, so even though you think its not that balanced with the Barb and his initiation skills/evasive skills he has his flaws with all of those skills, the wiz the the pvp videos seemed so tanky with its skills, i dont think anyone should worry about the WD or Wiz they can easily hold their own

what makes you think teleport will be essential for pvp? In d2 enigma was used primaraly for mf runs, in pvp it was only used in very few builds like summon necro, hammerdin and ele druid. If this was wow yeah, teleport is very nice, but in d2 where you get 1-2 hit in pvp and fights last seconds not minutes teleport doesnt matter that much, neither does cc, its all about beefing up your defense/attack
D3 looks nothing like D2 for PvP. People don't die in 1-2 hits. And I'm prrrrretttttty sure there was a bunch more that used enigma ex. WW barb/ Ele Druid/ Sorcs/ Java zons/ Summon necro/ Poison necro/ Trap sins/ Martial sins/ I even saw some Bow zons using it
That's a lot of builds that were in PvP using Nigma! I dunno what newbs you faught lol

I remember reading something about the barb being OP. I think it may have been in the transcript of the Q&A meeting between the fansite officials and blizzard. May have misread though.
Hmm. yeah I remember them saying something in the line of "If the barbarian is OP [in pvp] we are probably not gonna worry too much about it, it's mainly a PvE focused game" when talking about PvP balance.

each class have his own way to defend himself
All classes have at least one mobility skill. The only advanatge of the barbarian, monk and DH is the fact they have more then one. It's just more option, not a "direct" advantage.
The only problem is that we will see "mandatory" skills for pvp.. we won't see that many effective pvp builds as we see on pve.
