I realize it's patch day and that there may be some issues, but I just took my P118 monk that previously made a laughing stock of mp10 into Torment3 to try out new skills. I realize that things have changed, but at the moment this is a MISERABLE experience. Are previous mp10 characters supposed to be starting back up on level 60 content with level 60 gear doing Torment1 or something?
However, the most annoying part of all of this was Odeg who continuously - and I mean continuously, as in drug me all over the zone. His 'flee' mechanic is turned up WAAAAY too high and needs to be looked into unless you don't expect melee characters to be able to participate in this portion of content without wanting to quit your game and never look back.
A final sidenote, I think the 'tuning' in patch 2.0 to skills and mechanics went overboard. They changed so much of the game that we're now left in a position where we need to start from scratch figuring out builds and gear and mechanics. This should have been done in minor adjustments over a longer period of time so that players could more slowly adapt to the new system. Making it such that the entire game feels completely different, coupled with the above glaring issue with mechanics, leaves me seriously wondering if D3 is worth bothering with. If I wanted to play a completely different game today when I logged in, I assure you I will do so - and currently, it won't be a Blizzard product.
Haha, Odeg is totally annoying, I love it. He's like, my arch-nemesis. I want to see more stuff like that where the purple-named monsters stand out in ways that make players curse their names. If you don't like it, don't bother with him, he's one monster in one zone in one Act of the game.
Anyway, relax. If you're overwhelmed by all the skill changes, they actually have a very well implemented system to help you learn the skills one at a time - it's called leveling. Just start a new character and play him up. If you're 100+ paragon and have gems, you can easily handle Expert, if not Master. It's a lot of fun, and it'll go pretty quickly.

Leave out the vague threats of quitting. Nobody cares if you stop playing.
Passive aggressive threats are too damned funny. Oh, and the keywardens absolutely destroy me now. My WD was literally getting 2-shot by the A1 warden. Root (spirit walk on CD), fireball, use potion, javelin to the face, dead. I like the new challenge!
Hahaha I was JUST bitching about this on EU general chat... I managed to get Odeg down on T1, but he killed me once and tbh I only did it by abusing Rend, the bleed on my weapon and my Templars Charge/Stun.
Basically wait for Templar to stun, try to get as much damage on him as possible, try not to die till stun is off CD, Repeat. They REALLY need to tune down his running away, it was nowhere NEAR this bad in 1.0.8.
From the clan/community chatter yesterday, people were loving the difficulty of Odeg. It's not a required boss, so the optional "fun" he is made it almost like a challenge carrot that many seemed to enjoy.
My guess, they'll probably tune him down some, but I doubt it is a priority currently.
Shadow clones are also super powerful now. Our party just got continously wrecked by crowd control combos by them. AoE stuns from Barbs, freezes and Time Warps by Wizards, and all with the big badass Prime Evil to back them up.
Parties trying to do Diablo on T3+ might find themselves in a bit of a pickle against clones, unless you really stack some CC on them as soon as they appear and burst them down.

I'm absolutely with the others on this one, Odeg is a TOTAL pain in the ass with his running away, but honestly, I love that about him. He kites me literally everywhere around the Fields of Misery, and while I do occasionally feel like an idiot for letting him do that, especially since he's Molten and burns the ground I'm walking on, it's tough getting a hold of him, and it should be. If anything...he's a form of "ranged class."
Think of it this way...what do squishier character classes do when they're having trouble on a tough group of fast powerful enemies or a boss? Do they kite? If the answer is yes, then I see nothing wrong with Odeg doing the same exact thing. Or the Blood Clan Occultists in Act 3 doing it either. Those guys not only run away, but they have the power to add a shield for extra defense, and shield other enemies in the area.
As for having a character that can bulldoze MP10, and having trouble in Torment 3, not to sound snarky or snippy, but what did you expect? For the devs to just tune Torment 6 to be exactly like MP10 because Inferno MP10 was allegedly the hardest thing D3 had? And they weren't going to go any farther? Hell no. The devs want to push us, and push us hard. They want to give players something difficult to work toward, and without the Auction House, presuming it does in fact get shut down on March 18 (anything is possible), it's going to be a struggle, and that's how it should be. It should be a hard-fought battle to rise in the ranks of endgame difficulty, and not just, "oh yeah, I heard some massive overhaul patch came out...barely notice it.
I love the new difficulty of the keywardens! I like the fact that they are a challenge now.
In regards to Oleg, each melee class has a method of trapping, moving too, or pulling him. If he is really annoying you, just swap to one of those skill. Now that you don't have to worry about NV stacks being dropped, you shouldn't feel totally frustrated by fighting him. Adapt to the new system!
Seriously? A complaint of your's is that they changed TOO much? And now you have to learn all your class changes? If I take you at your word, you're really considering not playing because there's too many changes at once? Just.... el oh el
