This has been the most glitchey Blizzard release in a very long time. The "polishing" phase that they were talking about is what we are currently in. In other words, we are in open beta. Blizzard released a game prematurely; there is no PVP, RMAH is not in operation, the difficulty levels havent been adjusted, and I'm sure I missed a few other key issues.
Aww buhu you can't kill stuff on inferno, must be annoying to work for the items in order to kill
I can see the problem with the RMAH , i would like to see my irl $$ vanish for no reasons when i buy shit. Yeah they should not work out the kinks before launching it, i see your point..
I had to make a user just to reply to this stupid thread.. You whineres make me more and more sad
Yikes! You had to create a user account to show me just how illiterate you are? I will gladly purchase items on the RMAH, when it becomes available. And when PVP arena opens up, I will PWN you using the items that I purchased with my hard-earned cash.
Man, where are all of the people who told me that Diablo 3's release would be amazing and with little hiccups? Cause Blizzard learned from their mistakes right?
I love how all of the shit I said years ago, and was told I was a troll and insane for, is happening HA.
Jay said they felt the fans shouldn't have to wait any longer for a release, so they decided to put PvP in later. But I am sure you knew this and felt like making a thread like the other thousand on here.

Inferno is fine, get your gear and dont expect to face roll with lvl 54 gear
Am I one of the few tha haven't had tons of issues with D3?
Only took me 50min until I could login when servers opened up on release day, which was fully understandable considering the huge traffic.
Never gotten any login errors since then, and havn't experienced any bugs at all yet, except that my Mystic Ally has the voice of a female monk whenever he gets thrown through the air by an elite with Knockback.
The only things I've experienced was high latency for a few min after entering a new game for the first couple of day, and that AH is really slow/timing out sometimes.
If you just play D3 casually, it's been okay (after the first few days which had massive connection issues for EU). However if you wanted anything more than that, it hasn't been. You couldn't reliably connect like ever in the first half week and, my greatest issue, the AH sucks beyond belief.
I play a lot (I'm almost always in) and didn't have any trouble getting in beside the first day, and when they were doing maintenances, I get occasionnal lag, but nothing game-breaking (although I often die due to my Diamond Skin taking like 1 sec to activate after I press the key) about the AH, I didn't use it for anything else than sell 1 equipment and buy 7 pages of jewelcrafting, since I prefer to get the equipment myself like in D2, the AH seems like a shortcut to me and I don't like it, therefore i'll only use it to sell things on the RMAH once it does gets online
now about delays to the RMAH, yeah I totally prefer that they launch it now, buggy as hell with every item disappearing and hacks, than waiting a couple of weeks for it to be safe, because i'm really rich and I don't care wheter I spent 10 bucks on absolutly nothing, yeah you're right..., dealing with Real Money they HAVE too be sure it's 100% safe beforhand because they won't go out easily by posting a blue post sayin ''sorry everyone who lost 20 bucks buying an item that didn't exist we're working on it and we'll provide you information as fast as we can'' Real Money is not something to joke around, make it absolutly perfect or don,t make it, not a single bug is acceptable when dealing with real money...
Can you imagine what the large volume of AH traffic must be for this game? with only 1 AH for the US, and another for the EU, the sheer magnitude of the volume would be hard to design and test for until the game went live.
The only flaw i see with their issues is the lack of multiple US/EU servers to lessen the load on each individual AH. Say US East/Midwest/West, etc.

If you had actually read through the topic (and my post), you would've noticed that the AH is not only shit because of issues caused by the high amount of users (stability issues). Its whole design is also horrible for anybody who wants to extensively use it; there's so much functionality that's invaluable and easy to implement that could be there but is not. You'd expect way more from an auction house with millions of users.
Going by the amount of "I'm not playing casually" posts, however, people don't even seem to know what they're missing out on. I simply don't understand how Blizzard can advertise their product and the innovative RMAH and then put in an AH with features from a decade ago. It's as if Jay Wilson was like "Hey, didn't we say something about an auction house at Blizzcon? We still have that trainee, don't we? He's probably capable of putting an auction house together by the end of the month."
So...the AH is shit because it doesn't have all the features you want it to have? It's built to be simple, it's not built for people to analyze everything to death. Yes, it has bugs which should have been fixed, but to get on them because they didn't bother to make it as in depth as something like google stocks? That wasn't what they were going for.
And as far as bugs, with the AH aside, how many are there? I've heard of one game breaking bug that they fixed quickly. Compare this to so many other massive games (Skyrim? Borderlands?), this is a pretty sharp release. As per server issues - I haven't had any, other than the occasional spot of maintence, and having to try and log in two or three times right after the maintence is done. Now, I know my experience isn't the only one, but I'd wager it's the more common experience, by and large.

Unfortunately, this sloppy "game" is released as is; everyone just has to suck it up and either like it or leave it.

That's pretty rude. Myself, I don't care because I've read the books, but for anyone that hasn't and is just watching the show. Very low.

I totally expect every class to be differently played in a short while...
At least we don't pay a monthly fee for this beta, like some of those suckers did for FFIV <3
I miss FFXI ;_;
