Hmm I kind of assumed everyone already kept up with the news as it was mentioned several times runes won't be in the beta ;o
My mistake! I'll throw that in there
Lame questions imo, they remind me of some of the BlizzCons. TOo bad I was sleeping during the Q&A...
Somewhat yeah.. However, I heard the word "close" come out of Bashiok's mouth about 10x more than I usually do. They're really actually getting close to that point methinks...
It looks promising. Except that he says they will update the items on the b.net site when they are close to release.
So we're not close to release
pretty sure he means within a few weaks of release. not a couple months like we are now
I actually hope if anything they don't update until after release. Personally I think it would be cool for us to mob through inferno and constantly be going 'omg! check out this weapon!! I didn't even think dps could go that high!' ya know?

true. at least they said they wont be updating the ACT information until after release. not like i even care for looking at the items on the main site. the skills intrigue me the most by far. creating fun builds is pretty much my entire diablo experience.

Yeah they can start producing the retail DVD's and still make a lot of changes before they hit the shelves and patch the game before it goes live. Though I personally think it's rather unlikely they will add the new rune system through a patch. Either the Retail copies are being produced now, or the rune system will go into the build with the next patch and remain locked.
Your being too optimistic here, they will first announce that, then after few months/years they will ship it.
I'm actually pretty positive the CD's were printed up about 3 months ago. The Cd's only really need to contain a small amount of information, and the storyline, quests, acts, environments and whatnot haven't change much if any. The rest can be patched =D

I find the one about dyes funny. I can SO see some high level armors all in pink on the AH just make fun of people when they take em on
