Its shitty bow by itself due to affix, but you should roll 10 discipline to 12 for sure, carefully read the bonus set - it gives you 100% dmg for each.
YW
I'd agree with Griffin, on both points. The legendary bonus is very low, so unless it's your only Ancient Yang's, I wouldn't even use it. If it is the only one, change the disc to +12 definitely. It's simply the best choice.
Thanks for response, much appreciated. It is not my only one, but sadly it is my best one, even with the low 165%..lol According to d3planner when I compare doing the base damage boost vs 2 extra discipline it seems to give me more damage overall.. which is why I am confused when everyone tells me to do discipline.
Hatred generators, Vengeance attacks and Multishot deal 100% increased damage per point of Discipline the Demon Hunter currently has (6 pieces)
Meaning that 2 points of Discipline , increases your damage by 200%, while the weapon base damage will...increase with few % at best. d3planner seems to not take into consideration the set bonus.
Please reroll weapon dmg. Discipline is only a marginal overall dmg increase, while wep dmg is a lot stronger and stays consistent without dropping. One vault takes out everything you rerolled into if you opt for discipline. +2 discipline reroll should be reserved for when you are maximising out your stats, not trying to obtain a viable weapon.
The simulation I did for my gear with UE and 84 disc yields me ~1.74% dmg increase versus for another +2 discipline, versus ~4,1% dmg increase for 1440-1860 wep dmg. Obviously you'll need to get lucky to get high weapon dmg but it's overall worth more than +2 disc.
2 discipline is not worth it. it would be worth it if you gained 12, not 2.
84 to 86 disc 2.4% damage increase.
rerolling the base damage you can get up to 3.4k, which i think is more than 2.4%. something like 6-7% damage increase(this number might be wrong, but its definitely higher than 2.4%).
edit: 3.4k is closer to 8% damage increase. please tell me you didnt get 12 disc. and please get another bow with higher secondary
You two are way around this. 2 discipline = around 2.4-3% , depending on your total discipline, while with the bow the guy has, if he re-roll base damage, he can get a maxim of 3% . 4.1% or lol, 8% is just not real in this situation , because max he can get from the base weapon damage is around 100.
Now , is a matter of tastes , but I would choose discipline. It has more value because of the set, then base weapon damage. I however, recommend you to .. choose whatever, since you will change that weapon because of the .. somehow weak the legendary bonus.
unless other rolls are near perfect, never roll discipline to higher discipline. If you get max rolls on +damage it is closer to a 9% dmg increase.
@ others who have recommended rolling discipline, this is just wrong. Please learn how maths works before advising others on how to min/max their equipment
Tough call, I'd have to put it in a spreadsheet but I'm leaning towards re-rolling the damage range. For everyone saying its obvious to re-roll the 10 disc to 12, please check out wudijo's most recent video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxqgzNtFm4w&feature=em-uploademail
Hey! Sorry if in wrong spot please move if necessary. Looking to get some feedback from community on how to re-roll my new Yang's Recurve.

The 3 considerations I have are:
Vit to ias
10 discipline to 12 discipline
lightning damage to higher damage amount.
Thoughts? Thanks!

And may the odds be ever in your favour.

The Unhallowed Essence 6 pieces set says :
Meaning that 2 points of Discipline , increases your damage by 200%, while the weapon base damage will...increase with few % at best. d3planner seems to not take into consideration the set bonus.
EDIT: That if you have the Unhallowed set
Yeah, last I checked d3planner doesn't even try to work out the bonus from 6pc UE, so you have to work that out yourself manually.
And may the odds be ever in your favour.

100% sure you need to reroll weapon dmg, 2 discipline = nothing)
however
you should watch Wudijo's guide for EU Multishot itemization which he has done today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxqgzNtFm4w
This video contains Yang's rerolls too - gl with getting you primal bow btw

Spreadsheet? its not rocket science.
Discipline reroll = Roughly 2.5% damage increase depending on current total discipline
Ias reroll = 7% damage increase and lose vit
damage range reroll = 8.9% potential damage increase depending on how close damage range gets to max
