So I just thought of an idea that I think would be really cool to have in Diablo 3. What do you guys think of having a kill counter build into the game?
Maybe give it the ability to show total monster kills, player kills. And then break down the monster kills into certain types. Like, "You have slewn 458 zombies"
I think it would be really fun to get a high level character and be able to look back and reflect on all the baddies you've slewn on your way up.

So you'd hate having to feel the dreaded emotion of accomplishment? Hmph. Never thought I'd see such a comment..
I think a simple kill counter with possibilty of sub-counting different monster and player kills would be nice. Also with possibilty of ascethetic badges you can earn for certain accomplishments. These badges should be extremely difficult to get though.

So much gloating went on in the previous game, what's a few more reasons for it?
If it had a purpose other than gloating would you like it? After killing a hundred of the same beast you'll probably be better off fighting them compared to when you first saw the things. Getting info on their weaknesses and a damage bonus of sorts would be adequate I'd think.

Very good idea indeed. Maybe after killing x amount of a certain type of monster, you get a damage bonus. Would have to be something small to prevent exploitation, and there would also have to be a cap. Maybe something like an extra 1% damage for every 10,000 kills, capped at 5-10%.
Could be rewarding, and very strategic. Could even make it so that you have to damage the target in order for the kill to count to try and curb some of the power leveling techniques that might come along with a system like this.

So true...
A kill counter that affects how much damage you do.
So if you slew 100 baddies in a row, with little downtime between fights, you'd get a damage bonus for melee and spells.

that idea i like alot. Was the first thing i thought of when i saw this thread. I like new stuff, but some old ones that fit wouldnt be bad!

That could also be very cool, probably would be more along the lines of a PvP death counter than a PvE one though.
