Hello, I'm new to Diablo 3 and I have the Starter Edition. I want to know what are the stuff & things that the Starter Edition doesn't have and also, will I be meeting a lot of Online Players through out the game because I am more of an MMO guy and would like to play with others, but still really interested in Diablo. Are there a lot of players?
And if you buy the game it might still be a bit hard to find people to play with since we're close to this seasons end. This means most people are level 70, farming high endgame or taking a break until next season.
Next season should most likely start around early January. A new season means everyone who want to play season starts from level 1. At the end of a season all your progress, characters and items will be converted to none season, nothing is lost. If you're going to play the full game I suggest that you try it out now. Learn mechanics, explore areas and try to join a clan which aims for the next season and don't forget community. There's a lot of nice community's where you chat and play with other people.
When season 5 starts, join that season and play through it. There's specific rewards which can only be obtained through season and since you're new to the game you won't really have any progress worthy saving Seasons are super fun!
Starter edition is basically what you had in Vanilla closed beta.
While at the time it gave a kinda decent feeling about how classes generally worked and what the combat flow was, it was nearly useless as no real endgame was tested by the public and following issues (gearing system, impact of AH on the game) weren't considered before the game actually shipped.
Starter edition is more or less a small demo. Try it, you need to see if you like the game or not - but in the end you're not really seeing nothing of the actual game.
Also, you want the expansion - the improvements and features in it are worth as a single game alone, so don't stop at Vanilla game as , again, you're missing a lot.
If you do happen to get the expansion - feel free to give me a shout. While I do agree with the above posters comments - I disagree on having trouble finding games. While there are less people playing nowadays towards end of season, its still very easy to find games. feel free to hit me up if youd like - ysoserious#1178. <JKRZ> clan - which welcomes all players of all skill levels.

Diablo3 seems pretty fun so far, Is there anywhere I can buy this game for cheaper, like for example G2A.com?
If you want an MMO-style game with people to play with then Diablo is not for you. It's basically a single player one-time console playthrough. If you try to treat it otherwise it won't be fun.

Yes, you can buy it from other sellers different from Blizzard, on G2A it's surely cheaper.
It all depends on how much you trust the resellers. Anyway the keys are all global so you won't encounter issues in redeeming them from different areas.

A minority opinion on this forum, I should think. Shouldn't you have finished your one-time playthrough and left by now?
hi, buy it if you have not already, that is if you like this type of game and enjoy grinding to find better gears and super rare stuff.
i had fun with it, played 1000s of hours. exited for 2.4 and the new stuff coming.
also dont buy from g2a.com they are dogs, use g2play.net or kinguin.net , or just buy from blizz store difference is 10 usd tops on both d3 and ros exp.

I'm more than able to visit a forum about my favorite series to keep up to date on patches to see if there's anything interesting to entice me to come back and play for a bit. I'm not saying the game is bad by any means, but it's most certainly not an MMO.

It isn't a single player game either. I have more fun running with clan mates than solo most of the time.

And it is most certainly not a "one-time playthough" either - possibly the oddest thing I have ever heard said about a game in a genre that is all about repeating content again and again and again and again and again and again!

Ah, you're right, nograndplan! I'm hardcore seasonal player and while I can find games it is quite dead before endgame. HC clouded my vision!
