Currently I have managed to obtain very good gear for my 2h barb. I am farming a2-3 a lot but since the dual wield tornado build was discovered I am tempted to invest gold/euro into two 1-handers with the proper stats that would work with the new build. Main reason being I would like to have the choice to swap builds from time to time so farming does not get too booring.
However I am worried that if I do this and then a few days/weeks from now a blue post pops up saying the tornado build is not working as intended by Bli££ard and they will nerd it. Its simmilar to what happened to the IAS stat and how many players got ripped off sort of.
What do you guys believe would be the right thing to do in the current state of things?

Does the DW Tornado build feel OP? If you answered yes, just don't come back and bitch when it's fixed : )
It's a very fun playstyle worth trying out, if you don't mind taking the chance on it getting toned down. While the LOH and tornadoes do keep you alive and it's fun flying around the screen, it's annoying having to rely on it.
Maybe? I think they've already nerfed the life on hit from tornado hits from what I've seen on the forums. I'm not sure whether they'll nerf fury from tornado crits as well or not though. Blizzard has said in the past that they're ok with letting people feel like they are breaking the game a little, particularly regarding resource generation as long as they aren't actually breaking the game. I guess that's just a convoluted way of saying I don't know. Sorry.

Tried the build in a1 just for fun with my 2h and it worked and was awesome change of pace. Might watch out for some good deals on weps and amulets with LOH. Does it feel OP? I dunno, I guess the answer is yes considering the more mobs u fight the better it is. But is it fun? Yes its super fun and this should be preserved not destroyed.

Right now, seeing as we will have a big patch that will balance skills out, I'd take care investing a ton of gold into a build that might get hit hard with the nerf bat.
But right after said patch is released, I think investing is pretty safe.
I don't think the Barbarian's Tornado build is one of those, though, for now. It really just depends on popularity, if things get out of hand Blizz might reduce the damage from 60% to 30-40% and suddenly you can't rely on it actually killing stuff in the long run.
It's an awesome gameplay experience imho, I started using it a couple days ago, and it feels like you're the Flash, running circles around my enemies, coming in for a couple hits with Iron Impact, using Furious Charge on destructibles for instant-cooldown.

I was running with a very well built tornado barb earlier and it definitely didn't seem nerf-worthy, maybe it does if you haven't ever seen the Arcane Dynamo build with well-geared wizards face-rolling everything with infinite crystal armor.

In fairness, it's not just the whirlwind build though. What exists right now is an engine using Sprint: RLtW and Battle Rage: ItF to generate really crazy amounts of fury. That basically means infinite Whirlwind, Hammer of the Ancients, Seismic Slam and WotB: ToC. I don't think that's too bad the way things currently stand (with the possible exception of infinite WotB), but it does affect what sorts of skill balance changes Blizzard can make in 1.1 without nerfing the combo. For example, if they decide Hammer of the Ancients is too weak and want to buff it, they have to consider that there exists a way to spam it infinitely without stopping to build fury. I can definitely see cases where they could decide to nerf fury generation from tornado crits in order to buff other skills and promote more build diversity, so it's really hard to guess what they'll do.

people always assume that a nerf is going to make something useless ( which MAY be the case) but thats not the point, the point is to make it balanced ( but still useful ) be it an item, skill, or character.
