Having critical mass just for the sole purpose of refreshing diamond skin is a wasted passive slot in my opinion...
i would suggest these changes :
- i dont see if you have 12% movements speed on boots, if you havent, get it
- drop critical mass for illusionist and force weapon for teleport - fracture
- dont use 2 hand weapon...for real, too slow and clunky to micro effectively past act 2
if you still have problems, maybe its time to stop looking at gear and skillbuild and try to improve your skills such as map awareness, abusing doorways, cliffs (especially act 3), and perfecting stutterstep
otherwise there is not much to say,
Infinite time warp 20% damage + infinite frost nova 15% damage
=
"a wasted passive"
alternatively infinite explosive blast, constant waves of force.
Troll. I'm not mad, I'm posting constructive criticism.
you're mad, this is your 2nd thread about maintenance announcement in last 10days or so...get a life for 5 hours that the maintenance is up, even if it wasnt announced
Aren't you one of the people who got an infraction in the last thread for being needlessly assholish?
It's a legit complaint. They should just put it in the launcher. Case closed.
I've been on the road non-stop for the last five days. I don't always have time to check the official page, and even if I had I wouldn't have seen that post. Why put the visible one up at 11:59? Is there a measurable reason to not post it the day prior in breaking news? Or are you just full of hot air?
Present a balanced argument for why the information shouldn't be posted in the launcher or on the login page, or you're just being an unreasonable troll. Claiming mutual exclusivity with posting the information on the website is ignorant, like saying you can't label more than one fire exit.
Last night, playing public.. start chatting with a player about MF gear. We start chatting about trading eachothers items instead of trying to sell via AH. So we agree to swap my set piece helm for his amulet 30% MF.
I drop the helm, he picks it up. He drops the amulet and it dissapears. We then realise there is another player standing right next to us who has obviously picked up the amulet. We beg and plead for him to drop it.. he does not. Disconnects from game with amulet.
Yes, I know I am to blame, I should have used TRADE.
Anything I can do? report player? I dunno.. obviously the @ssh0le isnt replying to PM nor is he acccepting friend request..
I have the thiefs battletag and #number.. I also have the same details of the person I was trading with who can vouch for the story.
Sucks having to deal with theives like this ingame.. really sucks!
Its EVERY tuesday, get used to it. Its been mentioned for more than a few days, I saw a blue post on it Friday or Saturday, they tweaked the times since then, but it was out there previously.
As you can see ti was posted 3 days ago, and edited yesterday (to show the time changes).
So sorry that you missed that even being linked on the front page of this site a couple of days ago as well.

Last time I posted this request users got so upset (cough, butthurt) they actually got themselves banned and the thread deleted. Something that stupid over a request this mundane is outrageous and betrays some extreme fanboyism.
It's not like we're asking for NO MAINTENANCE or something, it's just better if it is announced earlier.
No it isn't EVERY TUESDAY. Maybe you haven't been playing since launch. That post is absolutely not visible to anyone with a job and a life who doesn't have time to spend 5+ hours trawling the garbage-dump official forums.
I played the game last night through midnight, and there was no posted message that said the game would be down today. Now, today, there's a message that says the servers will be down tomorrow, and the servers are down today.
This is not an MMO. That's obvious oversight and in my book an unacceptable level of customer service for such a large company. Assuming my game is unavailable every Tuesday is also unacceptable because Tuesdays are often the days I have off. Nowhere on the requirements list was "must not play on Tuesday".
Early on they had no problem posting info ahead of time as they brought the servers down to upgrade them and expand their hardware. Now that things are stable, now they can't inform us ahead of time in-game?
Seriously? I love this game. But for a company that large, that's outrageous.
OH HEY GUYS THE HIGHWAY'S GONNA BE CLOSED TOMOROOOOOW
*cough*
OOPS MEANT TODAY SORRY EVERYBODY
That would not be acceptable anywhere else, ever. It is a car analogy.
Just speaking my mind on this... if all it has is 10% crit, 80 RA, 94 Dex, and 44 Cold Res, it wont be a big gold score. My reasoning is this, Your target customer is a Barb as we're the only class that should be using shields. Yes I know all classes can equip but that's just a stop-gap until they find what they should be using. Barbs don't give any value to Cold Resist and Dexterity. Strength and RA is our bread and butter. So 80 RA is a great start, but 10% crit is very minor as Barbs concerned with critical hit are even more concerned with picking up critical damage, and this shield precludes using a secondary weapon that brings any where from 100% to 200% more critical damage to the total package. I'm not saying 10% crit doesn't have value, it absolutely does, it just has less value on a shield because of the trade off. I can't give a price check because another factor you left out is block %. Big difference between a 10% block shield and a 20% block shield. Sorry for the long winded response, I hope you and anyone who reads this learned something from my effort.
Don't say you played Diablo 2 LOD hardcore when you obviously didn't. This is fucking nothing like weapon swapping.
Apples to oranges.
I say you didn't earn an MF kill unless you were able to do with with the gear on. Swapping entire kits isn't fun, and it shouldn't be a part of the game. It gives an unreasonable advantage to players (like me) who know how to use AHK/Auto-it or who have hardware that has built-in macro comparability. It's an exploit and that's all I have to say about it.
I say MF is recalculated 3 minutes after equipping your MF gear. Problem solved, no more exploitation. MF become more valuable, more fun, and the entire game becomes more fair.
Right now I have parties kicking me because I'm not in the mood to swap out of my awesome gears because it doesn't have enough MF even though all it will do is get them one more yellow. Does that really sound like a positive game mechanic?
MF takes effect 180 seconds after gear is equipped.
Problem. Fucking. Solved. It would make using MF gear illegitimately completely ineffectual.
Yes, because adding a needless annoyance to a large portion of the playerbase who does not set-swap is a great solution. There are better ways than making me wait around 3 minutes if I equip an upgrade I just found.
Of course, this isn't a terrible suggestion either, I just think better alternatives exist. for example, the suggestion on this forum of waiting X minutes for MF increases to take affect, which doesn't penalize players for swapping gear in general.
yes, because something that has no impact on you unless you're trying to exploit the system is annoying in any way to legit players.
Let's see, I saw it on the website, the Breaking News section before I logged into the game this morning (yes, it was there), and on their Twitter feed. If I followed them on Facebook I probably could have found it there, and then as someone else mentioned a quick Google search also yields the info. Not to mention the fact that Tuesday has been Blizzard's maintenance day for years now.
It's at the point now that you have to go out of your way NOT to know maintenance is going to happen.
1.) I haven't played a Blizzard game that had maintenance, ever. This routine has been two months long for me.
2.) You just admitted "breaking news" can include the schedule, so why not in the launcher or login screen?

4.) The way the Diablo III is an icon on my desktop. All of those are out of it. I do not wake up every day thinking "I should check on tomorrow's Diablo availability!" I wake up thinking "I might play some Diablo today!".
There is a pretty serious lack of critical thinking skills and some pretty hardcore fanboy drama going on here. It seems to me the best place to post a maintenance schedule would be on the launcher.

You don't think they could have posted it five hours earlier for everyone's convenience? In-game? Or on the launcher?
