i'm thinking of making a summoner (dogs & gargantuan), along with locusts, and maybe haunt.
suggestions to fill in the gaps?

Soul Harvest is great in any build. Horrify with extra armor can help your pets survive while you're working on the gear. Sacrifice works great with the lowered cooldown on Zombie Dogs and with the passive that makes creating Zombie Dogs much easier (if you have white mobs nearby, and "pickup radius"). Spider Queen is a decent dps boost after the patch (almost like a passive).
i farm act 3 pretty easily (maybe 3-5 deaths in entire run)
Left Click - Rain of Toads
Right click - Acid Cloud (lob blob rune)
1-zombie dogs (fire rune)
2 - Garg (bruiser rune since they no longer proc stuff)
3 - sacrifice (next of kin rune, can get 2-3 sac's before having to respawn dogs fully, really burns through the elites)
4 - Corpse spider (spider queen rune, nice dmg on her now, can fire and forget it.)
Passives:
Jungle Fort
Blood Ritual
Zombie handler
I got 650-700 resists with 37k hp and 30k dps... it is pretty easy to just plug through things with all the pets keeping the attention. When you come up on a pack you just let the dogs and garg gather them, do a few sacrifices till dogs are gone, then respawn them and dump on them with acid cloud... they die pretty quickly then.
And rain of toads works great with the whole working behind the walls from Waller units and etc... generally fun build that does great with just a little LoH and Life steal (375 LoH and 3% Life steal for me and i can tank 2-3 phase beasts np)
Currently i have 1900+ LOH with 30k damage with out soul harvest..
since they've messed up vision quest all the LOH WD builds are ruined..
Ive swapped it with blood ritual, i can max probably 6 acid clouds behind eachother before my manas completely dry. Thats with atliest 1 soulharvested mob to get that little 37 extra mana ( believe me it helps lol )
This is my setup, i haven't changed anything besides the passive.. and im able to continue playing act 4 withouth any problems.. i die maybe once or twice..
But i dont feel that GODLYNESS as i did before the update, eventhough the mobs were 10 times harder.. i still kicked ass and got all the germans wondering how i never die haha..
The only reason i would say this build has escaped being totally crapped on from the update..is the fact that grasp of the dead does sooo much damage now.. ive got mines runed up with extra damage and it does a stagering 416% damage if i'm not mistaken.. and thats what keeps me alive.. i use almost as much as acid cloud now..
I've been getting some awesome drops that have TONS of crit %.. im wondering if the glass cannon build is the way to go, considering u can kill azmodan in 5 seconds with that build...imagen now that they're weaker.. and theirs so much more crit bonuses on these weps..
anyone have an idea which would be better? sticking to the cloud build or going back to the bears??
About LOH builds not working post-Vision Quest change...really?? Have you tried Plague of Toads with Rain of Toads rune and 1000+ Life on Hit? Using this build I can easily tank my way through act 4 Inferno with maybe a couple of deaths. My main build right now is a Grave Injustice build focusing on keeping Spirit Walk active to walk through white mobs (my DPS is around 60k base) but it will get a lot better once I get the new Thing of the Deep, which comes with +20 pickup radius. With this build I farm act 3 very easily, but LOH builds work just fine. Rain of Toads is insane, it hits so many times per second, my life bar never goes below halfway when fighting most mobs and standing in multiple desecrators. The basic build I was using was Rain of Toads on left click, Grasp of the Dead (Unbreakable Grasp) on right click, Spirit Walk (Healing Journey), Horrify (Frightening Aspect), and 3 and 4 can be just about anything. I like having Zombie Bears available for burst damage, and Soul Harvest is useful post-patch too with Vengeful Spirit.
