I'm just saying that each monster would be limited to drop 1-3 item types which would force people to hunt a special monster for a specific item. Bosses wouldn't even drop items because they don't wear any. This would not work for D2, I'm 100% sure of that.
Well here goes another titan quest idea, the bosses in TQ left behind essence orbs that when opened dropped random items so thats something they could do in D3 but they can change around the orb idea i guess.

-So sayeth the wise Alaundo
How did it suck all it did was make the game make more sense and it still had a shitload of drops. Seriously why would you want a crow to drop armor or a sword?

Crows steal shiny trinkets, super mutant undead crows steal shiny armor and swords.
Seems realistic enough for me!
Yea but then you think were the hell they carry that and there goes all the realism.

And how the heck did mutant undead crows get into my computer?
Lol thats way too realistic. You might as well just question how your talking to other people through a plastic screen.

Corpse Explosion works on dead skeletons in Diablo 2 and they spew blood and guts everywhere. Same goes for Fire Enchanted skeletons when they die in Diablo 2.
The Diablo series isn't notorious for certain mechanics making sense in every situation. Still, no one is calling diablo 2 a bad game because skeletons sometimes blow up and spew fore everywhere.
This is really a non-issue. Why is there a thread?

Because we are a bunch of people that have nothing else to talk about because Blizzard refuses to give us new info....we exhausted all other controversial points.....:)
didn't we already discussed this already?
the exploding heart is just an icon to show that effect
it doesn't really mean that the skill exploded the skeletons' "heart"
Right, so all the blood and body parts flying off and littering the ground are not actually blood and body parts, they are just effects to let you know that you clicked the mouse button...having nothing at all to do with blood or gore. Maybe you should tell this to the ESRB ratings committee too!
and poison doesn't have to be poisoning their muscles or flesh either. it could be destroying the structure of their bones.
Then they should have called it "acid."
if you want to get into realism, then skeletons shouldn't be able to move in the first place or even stand since they don't have any muscles or ligaments to support them or allow them to move
In the fantasy world skeletons are animated by magical energy which holds their bones together. However, there is no notion of blood that spontaneously appears out of thin-air when you hit a skeleton.
Good point BUT !! I think implement things like that will be hard to balance, because you need to have alternative to kill undead, all weakness and all immunity must be equally distribued into the game, same for the skill effectiveness in these restrictions, and that for all class.
This right here is why they won't implement immunities in monsters for certain spells. I do expect them to change certain visual effects for certain spells. As stated, exploding palm should only spray bone and white dust.
With that said, I would be happy if certain spells did 50% more or less damage to certain types of monsters. That will force characters to be more diverse in their builds, but it could backfire, making a few skills only usable in certain instances. It could make people ignore certain abilities altogether, and just dump more points into a skill that will affect everything.
As for random loot drops from every monster; I'm all for it!!!
