ok guys its alive. i used to be on 24/7 now i dont even play for more then 1 run. i log in and see 10-20 people in general chat used to say 99 every time. let history repeat itself and not change the game at all. lets see what happens after the itemization patch. ill go ahead and keep my 2 cents to myself because all in all who am i? i guess this is all just my own personal opinion something never heard before.... i guess i dont like the game with almost 2k hours played....
im the minority not the majority... the majority has been heard and now they dont even like what they got... they are still crying for more.... tisk tisk
In case you're not aware, there seems to be a bug going on with the chat channels that causes them to be nearly empty. The blue posts about it are still on the top 5 diablofans blue tracker.
hmm i think current number of public games in softcore is bugged too only showing 1,731 available.
over a million play per day.... with 3 million playing per month...
i flunked my honors math classes every year... just like i flunked every other class but was promoted with no questions asked...
i guess i dont know how to equate these numbers....
ERMAGERD ONLY 3 MILLION PEOPLE PLAY D3 REGULARLY, CLEARLY DEADS
I doubt 3 million people play D3 regularly.
SCpub is about 1000-2000 games average.
HC pub is about 500.
If all those games where stacked with 4 people each that's about 10 000 players.
So that would mean ...Nearly 3 mill people play alone. I doubt that.
Lmao look at you, you are so in denial for anything positive for this game. Why do you even play?
numbers are straight from blizzard. Over a million play per day, with over 3 million playing per month.
I still enjoy playing the game. Im just not in "denial' that the game is in great shape.
And really, after the past year why should i take anything form blizzard as being 'fact'. Infact i bet the number of a 'million', even if its close to true is mostly gold farming bots and spam bots on all servers. How many accounts does blizzard ban while new bot accounts pop up every day?
as ive said from the beginning and all along... youll see...
i hope another indie company has been reading and taking in all this info and uses it to their advantage. maybe a real game will be made and some people that deserve to make real money will get some.
^^^ one of the most intelligent people in this world.........
please in 1 word tell me how the world is doing.
seems like they are more worried about diablo..... right?
and the only fact is they are going to whipe their asses with the money they made off everyone. thats the only fact i can think off the top of my head right now.
im sure blizzard never took on the idea of endless dungeons because they didnt know how to do it.
please tell me 1 blizzard employee that plays diablo 10+ hours a day.... they are all gamers right? they should be logged in 24/7 enjoying what they created. o thats right they are too busy spending their money...
You really need to take a step back and let your thoughts mature before assuming things. What you're posting for the first time has been discussed to death on inumerous other threads.
D3 is dead and yet we see on a daily basis thousands of items posted on the auction house, thousands of people playing public games. I'm playing hardcore currently and even that gamemode is very active.
all im going to say is... we gunna do something to change it? 2 posts now and no brain storming...
stay on topic... lets talk like men/women... maybe we will be heard.
You might have missed the dozens of threads with hundreds of pages of brainstorming over the past months/year. Some of which have been followed by the actual developers to gather ideas and insight (as hinted in previous interviews).
There's only so much we can do "to change it".
We can help the developers with clear feedback and well organized ideas, which arguably require some proper education and understanding of how things work by the people giving said feedback. The amount of shitty feedback we saw over the last year is insane.
And in the end we can't really tell them what to do, because they don't make changes only to please part of the playerbase (that visits forums, or who are hardcore). They do it to please as many people as possible.
its really all just moronic. i think blizz should just do everyone a favor and just shut down their servers and kill d3. thats what this community deserves.
simple solution. blizzard listen to the ones that play 10+ hours a day and not just the pay to win and casual gamer that didnt work hard for what they have. im sure they know what d3 needs.
Scrap all that, I should have never even bothered to reply after reading such deep and intelligent statement "what this community deserves"? Thankfully we found someone capable of judging everyone else. "10+ hours a day"? Yeah, those people must be epic game designers. Every succesful game in recent years has been designed by gamers who play 10+ hours a day, right?
How they redefine itemization is what is going to make or break this game. Not pvp, not an endless dungeon, not account wide paragon, not what the next class is, not legendary dyes, not pawn stars, not NFL football streamed on your minimap (actually, I really want this feature),
Everything else is fine and dandy but as Maka posted, if the rewards suck nobody cares. In regards to the games health it's active however I think it's safe to assume it is gradually declining. I Serpenth, one loyal Blizzard fanboi, hasn't even played in 3 weeks and feel that my second long break from the game is beginning. Which I am ok with, I know as soon as we get the expansion title leak, interest will once again spark for many. Then as Blizzcon approaches interest will spark, and when the expansion is announced, interest will spark. However those sparks could explode or die instantly once loot 2.0 is revealed.
listen you are all missing the point... i still do not see 1 idea. complaining about what is current is not going to expand the game... 1 step at a time takes forever... widen your thoughts... dont just wait for them to come out with a new patch every 3-6 months and then say o it wasnt good enough we need to change this this and this... doesnt make sense to me? looks like whats being heard isnt cutting it... NO ONE should be waiting for the itemization patch which many are tell the truth... ask anyone that plays this game THE DROPS SUCK! read up someone said its not worth it to play a game that is not rewarding... the proof is in the pudding what has been done isnt up to par... i bet if i never said anything about this idea of my VERSION of the endless dungeon and it was released on the ptr HOW MANY DO YOU THINK WOULD PLAY? lbr.
dont get mad at me because i came up with an actual good idea. i dont see anyone else doing that.
would you not want to spawn in a random area with nothing but all kinds of elite packs and tons of affixes popping off around you? i believe that is something different and enjoyable.... its rare to group 3+ elites at once.... imagine doing it more often...
hmmmm lets recap on what has been done so far guis!!!! more leveling!!!! new legs!!!! more nerfs!!! more buffs!!!! more mobs in other acts!!!!
building on what is already normally done.... very boring.... change the game add new content not just items... like game modes... ubers and dueling was a great idea... add more like that
OP I don't think anybody means to disrespect you. This topic isn't going exactly in the intended direction because the endless dungeon has been suggested in several hundred different threads among various Diablo III forums. When another one pops up it's just an eye roll. While adding things like ubers is awesome, the reward still stinks. While doing an endless dungeon may be fun, current systems still make the reward worthless. I think the point of a lot replies are trying to make, including mine, is that no additional feature no matter how great it is will ever be worth it without a just reward.
Nobody wants to sit around and wait for itemization, we all want it this upcoming Tuesday. However, it is the backbone of this game. This is not world of warcraft where we get new raids every few months and that satisfies our thirst for content. Diablo rewards us with an endless item hunt and a desire to continuously update and customize our characters. Without proper itemization any type of game mode that offers a reward will ultimately lack replay value.
The current system is a failure because the design of it was flawed. I know it seems like forever but Blizzard had to evaluate the situation, take proper action, and get the right people in here. It seems like the wheels are moving which is a good sign. As much as a game like this is random, Diablo III is way too randomized in terms of item rolls and drops. I have just as a good of chance of getting an echoing fury off of a skeleton in Act I as I do MP 10 ubers. Well, that's untrue to an extent however my point is these game modes are worthless if 1.) they don't offer high chance at rewards and 2.) the rewards aren't worth it.
exactly so why would anyone play at all if the bases of the game is worthless? we all grind for gear... the drops suck... so ya any game mode might be boring because of that... think about it i dont understand how someone can say they enjoy the game when the bases of it sucks.... why still play? but all in all if they did come out with a real bad ass game mode i would play it regardless the drops... ubers sucked because all you got out of it was an xp ring and all it was was a few bosses.... i was hoping for GG gear.... which what this game is all about not some stupid xp ring when i dont even use xp bonuses on not 1 of my characters. hell fires arent even end game wailing host/unity/nats/zuni are.... i dont know how anyone can say they still enjoy playing this game... took me almost 2k hours of play time just to get a drop over 1b.... dueling is self rewarding... you win thats your reward... but to me i dont even want it to be all about the drops i want the game im playing to be fun because truthfully if it was.... NO ONE WOULD BE COMPLAINING ABOUT DROPS!!!! NO ONE WOULD COMPLAIN AT ALL!!!!!
read every post ever made about the game state.... the proof is in the pudding....
i used to play tekken tag tournament because it was self satisfactory and fun... i would play on normal just to see if i can get all perfects from first round to final boss and beat my play time... that was fun and self rewarding... i didnt play for hours and hours for some special item it was for my own satisfaction of beating my play time and seeing my own gaming skills grow... best time 2 minutes 50 seconds of game play to beat it all perfects... or get twisted with my home boy and go kill for kill or double k.o.
i used to love final fantasy 7 because i was young when i played it and it made me feel intelligent to beat it... after i beat it the first time @ about 40 hours i played it a second time and said im going to see how fast i can beat it... took me 18-20 hours that was fun and satisfactory and i did it my second time while grown men didnt even beat it 1 time yet...
i used to play mortal kombat armageddon because i havent played mk in a very long time and i ended up getting to the max difficulty getting perfects with subzero chaining 10 hit combos... that was self satisfactory
i used to play quake 3 arena because at the end of my playing it i was @ 60%+ accuracy in all weapons online. it was satisfactory to pull out the nade and hear HOLY SHIT! or pop off one of my GODLY prediction shots. take on 4 people @ once in a clan arena. or take a trip on the magic mushroom and have 100% accuracy online.
diablo... not too hard not too rewarding.... i could go play hc but you know my inet sucks and i rubber band alot so i dont want to end up grinding so hard and then end up losing my character to my inet or unseen thing. hmm maybe i could take that on as a challenge... the real end game of diablo 3 is hc with loss less connection.
hmm 10 years to make d3... an indie group could have done something similar/better in less then 3... o they already have....
all im saying is d3 shouldnt cater to the pay to win and casual gamer so much... they already have mp 0 and they can enjoy that because they arent end game players. do you see too many barbs steam rolling mp 7 with no life steal, only 300 loh, 487 AR, 37k hp, and only SOMETIMES dieing to reflects? or is that only me?
and the sad thing is im not even an ARPG player this is my FIRST ARPG.... and its too damn easy... very sad....
maybe i should go pop in the original myst or riven and play a real game.
its funny cause alot of d3's downfall came from bad players crying about not getting legendaries... they still cry about not getting legs till this day while im getting 3-5 per 40-50 minute run... you know what blizzard really needs to do... tell them L2P
played a little bit of poe started fresh with a shadow gone ranger ended up with atleast 10 exalteds 2 stash sheets of gems, a death harp, a chin sol, 2 andvarius, numerous end game maps, hit like lvl 73 was about 2k on the ladder, created my own frenzy based build... just to name a FEW... and i did not use the forums for end game gear... and that was my second ever ARPG
really some people just need to L2P or dont play at all.
sorry guys if you want to be a pro and do pro things... maybe you should try hard.
ya i know it sucks to not be able to do things some others can... but this is the real world get over it.
soon you are going to start seeing the d3 community cry for godmode.

just like grinding gear games.... they get it.
Gratulations, it took you 10 words to lose all credibility
And on "your" wonderful idea : endless dungeons have been talked about for years. By many people, including blizzard.
*pssst* and the gouvernement is lieing to us too *psssst* You can recognise them when they do their secret handshake

There's a reason why these posts are upvoted.
