Are you also unlucky like me and wont be able to play diablo 3 from the get-go on may 15th?
I have been following every information, every news about this game for about four years like a maniac and on April 27th 2012,my pc broke down.I dont want to write what happened with it as it would be completely off topic, but well, lets just say that if i manage to start it up ever again in my life, then the sky is green.I feel very sad as i wanted to be among the first players, sure i am gonna buy a new pc somewhere between september and november, but i will not be the first to find a specific legendary item, the member of the first party to beat skeleton king at inferno, well these are far fetched ideas but i think you get the general idea.
Does anyone who has been a fan of this game for a long time has similar problems and would not be able to play d3 on release??
Also i wont be able to reply to any comments as i am gonna be away from pcs for a long time, and although i can view the forums via my mobile,it doesnt have javascript so i am not even able to sign in.

Grinding Gear Games (Company that produced POE): "These are great Ideas, we will use them for sure as they are clearly what the player base is looking for."
Blizzard: "While we agree that this game needs re-working and that these ideas could help the future of this game, we have no plans to listen to our fan-base at this time."
In my case I won't be able to play until a bit after 10 AM on the 15th so I won't be able to start right at midnight but it's nothing major in my case, atleast I'll be enjoying my CE of D3 xD
Damn dude that really dose suck i got scared last night as my computer started sounding really wierd. Luckly it was just one of the fans on my water block that diead so just gota buy a new one tomorrow. and even without it i stay on safe temps.
Will starting playing d3 after november help me get on-par with the players who would be playing from 15.5.12?

Yea, i preordered my CE from gamestop and that specific store decided to not do a midnight release...:( so i am spending the few hours before release trying to find a Collectors edition so i can play at midnight instead of playing at 10am
The same thing happened to me while I was waiting for Skyrim, my *BOTH* GPU's fried... It took a month to get a replacement... for this old beast and new ones are running stable for about 6 months, I hope they can hold up three more before I buy a new machine.
I'm pretty upset about my retailer telling me "we have hard pressure from Blizzard not to let people have Diablo 3 before May 15th). Which I know is BS because everyone else got theirs. They shipped my CE copy this Friday, however it didn't get far and I don't know if I'll get it on Monday or Tuesday.
@Bruncroes:- Well you are certainly right. If i have waited 4 years, then i can wait a few months more, but then i will only be able to play d3 if i am able to accumulate 40000+ indian rupees.
To buy a pc of course

Retailers are not allowed to hand out copies untill official release. If they do, and Blizzards finds out, will i guess they wont be working together anymore and most likely get a fee.
Then how come so many people got theirs? It seems everyone else except me got their physical copy!
Luckily for me, even if my computer dies in some kinda freak accident I atleast got my laptop that should be able to handle D3 on atleast medium settings

I'm not certain what's blizzard's stance on shipping of pre-erdered games, but I work at a store that sells (among other things) videogames. When we received our physical copies of D3, they came with a document explaining that we will be charged with a fine of 100 000 euros for each copy that would be proven to have been sold or even stolen I think. Also, a bliz employee directly contacted our boss to make sure he really did understand that he can't sell the game before 00:01 on the 15th,
I'd find it strange that stores would ship out copies to end users before that time while small stores are so closely watched.

I feel for you
Since we don't know what happened you your PC i assume that its totally wrecked, if not... there is always a chance that there is a cheap fix to it.
i feel better about my situation now, lol. a little perspective is always nice. all the 'i took a month off of work/i don't need to work' threads were killing me, but at least 'knock on wood' my pc is still being a team player. i have to work all week, but i'm hoping to get a few hours in before/after work each day. here's hoping the pc gods present you with a timely solution.

Shipments from Amazon.
You mean shipments from pretty much everyone except the North American branch of Amazon. So far there's no signs they're shipping before the 15th if you're not getting Release Date shipping, and if you are they're liking shipping the 14th.
Unless Amazon ships today, despite what the site estimates delievery, there's pretty much no chance I'll be able to play when the servers go up. Even if I was able to, I doubt I would as I'm on the east coast and I'd rather sleep (at least if I'm able to) and get up a few hours later fully refreshed and ready for a full day. If Amazon's site is correct, I won't be playing until the 17th, likely late in the day as the vast majority of UPS delievers here come a little after 6pm.
