I am looking for people to play the game with that take their time exploring instead of rushing
I am worried that Diablo 3 will become a rush fest once it is released, this thread is just
to check if there are any people at all who enjoy taking it slow instead of rushing saying
go go go come on hurry up etc.
Are there any people out there who want to experience Beta slowly or full game
once it is released? Please post here
Does it really matter? If people want to get level 60 asap, why not let them? Does it make you feel less of a gamer that people don't play the game slowly like you do?
And the beta takes 2 hours to complete regardless, after 6 times of play-through, I'm going to rush it if I already know what's up.
I was asking if there are any people who want to play the game the same way I do
and you just come in here trolling me for no reason, please try reading over this
once again.
One of them loves to read every dialog, complete every quest in the best possible way, slowly progress and explore every corner of a world. This is my preferred personality for stuff like Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fallout 3, Skyrim, Bastion, rpgs in general.
The other is very competitive and is all about playing the game at the most efficient way possible. This works well for shooters like MW3, BF3 and mobas like DotA, LoL and HoN, but it is not how I prefer to play most games.
Sometimes the latter one is the one I've got to use specially when I just don't have much time to play, but when I do, the first one is glad to take over I'll gladly send you my BNet gamer tag if you want, I just won't be available all the time.
Every game, no matter what genre has people who don't care about the content or story, only getting to the end first. It's their choice if they want to race through the game, but they miss a ton of story and gameplay. Then say, "Hmmph, that's all?"
I currently enjoy playing through the beta, not exactly taking my time, but I still break open 3/4's of the barrels, pots and coffins and pick up gold and any blues and higher. I no longer listen to the lore or quest information as I've heard it plenty of times by now.
With the games release I'll definitely be taking my time and engrossing myself in the story the game has, exploring every area, examining everything. Listening to every lore, story, quest info etc. Will be a blast I am sure!
I usually take my time and explore everything and pick up everything for maximum game experience. Inferno is gonna be sick. I took my time with my Barbs and DHs
I did the beta in an hour and downed Leoric with a witch doctor and only 15.63 damage lolol.
I'm rushing through a wizard ATM, trying to beat an hour while still experimenting with builds.

I never rush in the beta, i like to explore every small area, i do like the outdoors a lot more then the indoor areas though.
Thank you this is exactly what I was looking for, helpful people instead of someone
who gives me problems and laughs in my face for trying to take my time enjoying
a game.
Does the beta not randomize any of the areas or dungeons ever? If the Beta
doesn't do this I really hope it will be changed in the full game so that the experience
isn't the same every single time, Diablo 1 and 2 randomised the dungeons every time
and it was a blast.
Yeah I enjoy the Beta and rush the Beta. What I mean by that is some playthroughs I stop and smell the roses, and then sometimes I just feel like fighting the SK and don't have time for dank caves and dark cellars. I feel if the Beta were longer, I'd probably spend more time exploring than I do. So come game release don't you worry, there'll be some exploring

Play how you want to play... If playing MP, play with friends that want to play the same way... Or find new ones (plenty on here).
Personally, I play the 'defeat the fog of war' path... D3 doesn't really offer much in the way of 'exploring'... The maps are pretty static, even the random dungeons, but since 13 is the max, and I normally kill the skeleton king at about 10, if I want to max (for the achievement that'll be deleted again soon, or to see all the skills/runes at that point), killing mobs is the main way to get xp (until you're too high lvl that the lowest areas are worthless), seeing all of it helps : )
At launch, I will likely continue playing 'defeat the fog of war', but then, I've never been a 'get to max level and grind' Diablo player...
I really hope so, and hope that people will actually take their time exploring, I know Guild Wars
is a completely different type of game however what annoyed me in Guild Wars is when I
was trying to get through the lore and people just kept bitching at me that I didn't skip the
story line even when the game was still brand new.
Yeah as others mentioned, on my first beta playthrough i did it slow... Now i jsut rush through and get to lvl 13 in 2-3 hours.
Once the game is out i'll play normal solo and slow... Then NM and up ill team up with friends and rushg through the game as fast as i can jsut so ic an get to late hell or maybe even inferno... Then start spending effort on getting good gear and maxing out.

Problem is those people who will still want to rush through the game even after release, come on get to the boss get to the
boss. I am really glad Blizzard is making smaller enemies and mini bosses worth killing instead of constant boss rushes
like it was in Diablo 2, however I think many people will miss that point.

omg, I can completely relate to that. Thought I was the only "noob" trying to enjoy the PvM part of it instead of getting to the end of it asap.

If you want to play with people who take it slow. when D3 releases, lev to 10, make a HC character and play public, it will guarantee that your playing with people who take their time. myself being one of them. :Thumbs Up:
Thanks for the positive feedback guys, this makes me feel better. It looks like
diablofans forums have more friendlier people than battle.net forums for
Diablo 3 actually do on the DIII battle.net forums I was constantly trolled
and then had my account banned for even talking about the whole rushing
thing. No matter it was banned only from posting on forums and for 72 hours
guess that will teach me to ask questions about gameplay next time :/ oh well.

Nice idea but I don't like restarting games one too many times and losing all my items, it kind of scares me
You can play with me if you would like. I would prefer to explore every corner of the game, but if peeps want to dash through the game then I am up for it. It does not exasperate me either way.
