Everyone (Including I) are excited about the CeBITS 2012 March 6th, 2012. Since Jay was questioned on how soon the release date is, giving it a 9 to be immenent, I hope he announces it tomorrow during this event. Though the event is from March 6-10th, I wouldn't be surprised if he holds it up until the 10th. Let's hope the rumors are true that April 17th is indeed the release date of Diablo 3. I think 4 years is enough waiting and beta testers wouldn't want to be in the beta for over 6 months. If you guys wanna read more about CeBITS 2012 here's the link http://www.cebit.de/home .
I really don't think they are going to announce it at an event like this. I think it's just going to be a regular ol' press release, like pretty much all their other announcements. Even ignoring the fact that they've said they won't wait for a major event to announce the release date.
I could be wrong, but I really don't think they will.

Yes, CeBIT is tomorrow, but we won't get a release date during the show. I can't find the article, but I'm almost certain I read that they won't be announcing a date at an event. It sure would be great if they did, though...

Blizzard keeps their words secretive so who knows if they do indeed tell us. If not, then again we wait. Just thought that CeBIT will be the perfect opportunity to tell the release date world wide.
Sorry guys to bring up simple math. Taking into account that D3 is in development since 2001 (that gives us 11 years) than 9 out of 10 means that we have aprox.1.21 year to seeing actual release date
You didn't read the question posed to him did you?
"on a scale of 1 to 10, (1=not even close, 10=imminent,) how close are we to that all important #D3 announcement? :)"
This isn't a 1-10 development scale... its a time until release... with defined limits.
i have the beta and i enjoyed it people who complain about having it are nothing more than ass clowns thats right i said it ass clowns
The problem is that not only that it is limited content... there is absolutely no challenge. Its more like watching a movie than playing a game.
What would you expect from the absolute beginning of the game? How much challenge had the first hour of Diablo 2?
Some people, really...
It has alot more than d3. You actually had to watch your health and be wary of certain champions (yes even in act 1). I will admit that i walked into a frost enchanted skeleton archer pack and got owned in act 1. I've also had to work on kiting blood raven sometimes....
If they do, They need to have flames shoot across the stage, and some guy dressed as diablo walk on stage and scream the release date to the crowd............In all seriousness they probably wont, but i hope they do.

My place really was here. I was too foolish and stubborn to notice. But, what I truly hoped for then was here. Why do I always realize it When I've already lost it.

I know you were joking... but it wasn't funny.
